***April Sweet Peas*** 204 Babies

Awwm man f'in consultants and mw! Kimmy I'm soo sorry you feel this way and that consultant has completly gone back on his word, personally I would push for c-sect date and then hope you go into labour on your own. YOu can't go on drip anyway if you want a mobile vbac as they have to moniter the strength of contractions so as your scar won't rupture! So you could argue that it wldn't be a true experience of vbac if have to be on back all the time! I really hope you find your answer hun, maybe hubby shld go in and shout, thats what it took when in labour with my daughter.
MrsGlitz, I'm sorry to hear the lady was so mean about your sweep, and you need to put your foot down about the amount you can spread your legs!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SPD is serious and there's that whole website dedicated to it, honestly if you haven't read the pregnancy and birth section then go and check. The quieter you suffer the harder your recovery will be with baby and less easier to do 'normal' things with new bubs! SO start shouting and look into your options. I'm gonna request that only a consultant or head midwife does my internals for this reason, and there's a bunch of other stuff I'm support to ask for as well, all on website!

I've bene having cramps every ten minutes from last night however they fade this mornig and kicked off again at 4.30 this avo so thinking not going anywhere!

Huge hugs to all, hope our bubs arrive real soon and peeps don't suffer to much! xxx

hi ladies just wanted to say I had my yellow bump yesterday - it was a baby GIRL!!!!

rough delivery but was home same day, she is beautiful have called her Kitty xxx

good luck to you all xxx

Congratulations all new mums, Congratulations brocki and have njust noticed your age gap gonna be similar to mine, let me know how things go!

It was a consultant who examined me today would you believe. I hope I don't get her next week! Actually here's hoping that I won't need that appointment next week, I am still in agony now!

do you think cld be contractions, whats the blood like? could it be your bloody show or is it just where she was horirble and rough, sorry if tmi. Just wondering, seeing as way youwere talking sound slike you thought you might be on your way!

Unfortunately I just think it's where she was a bit rough, I wasn't expecting to still be like this 6 hours later, I thought it would only be for an hour or two.

I haven't commented much in a very long time but have been lurking in the background, reading every day!!

Just wanted to say that my beautiful baby girl, Leilah Kate, was born on the 9th of April after 70 odd hours of labour - completely drug free. My labour was hell but people are so true when they say you do forget the pain eventually. As soon as I held my baby in my arms I knew it was all worth it...

(tried to upload a picture but for some reason it won't allow me to)

i had my baby, Aj was born at home yesterday evening :happydance:

Little man was born on 11th April 2010 :flower: Was due on the 20th lol

Loved this thread! Can't believe I've reached the end of it. xx

Wowie! Congratulations times three to Milo-chan, Kty1989, and KamKol! It's rolling along now, isn't it? :)

Heya MrsGlitz, hope you're feeling a bit better today... sounds like it was a pretty unpleasant experience overall on a few counts. :(

Congratulations Mummies!

I'm a bit freaked out, my super active wee one hasn't moved at all yet this morning :( Come on baby, give me a thump!

ETA: Ok, 2 seconds after I posted that I got 2 tiny thumps *phew* I think I'm probably going to be paranoid all day now, but at least I'm a little relieved!

Congratulations new mummies!

Have a chill out day 555ann555 and see if you can encourage a few more thumps! These babies like to keep us on our toes.

More congratulations to all you mummies.:happydance::thumbup:

Going to bath myself in labour dust I think really had it upto the eye teeth being pregnant now, legs were aching so much last night I ended up led in the bath at 1am until 2am this morning to try and relax enough to sleep, and I don't have SPD so kudos to you ladies surviving with it.

Though on a plus side I -may- have lost a little of plug this morning but nothing for certain, hoping that the closer I get to MW appointment on Thursday the more of a chance that lil lady will come before I have the sweep lol :haha:

Think I may spend this afternoon playing computer games because I feel to knackered to go out to do anything to fun

My body is aching so much today! Feel like i have just run a marathon or something! Didnt do anything yesterday so not sure why its so bad today!
Got lots of housework to do, but can hardly move! Hope my body gets better soon!

Congratulations new mummies! These April babies are flying out now!

I don't know what my body's doing! I was still bleeding bright red blood when wiping this morning but the pains had stopped. I had a GP appointment at 8.45am so I went to that and told her how poorly I have been feeling. She did all the usual checks (ears, chest, throat) and all clear and normal so I just have a really bad cold. I have another 3 pessaries for thrush though as that's returned. Told her about the blood and she told me to call my midwife. I called the DAU as I have just moved and don't have a midwife now! They told me to monitor Baby H's movements and check again in a couple of
hours. So I trotted off to my hairdresser appointment and when she started cutting Baby H decided to start moving, finally! Got home and checked again and now have dark brown slightly mucusy blood. Called DAU and spoke to the same mw who said it is a good sign and to cross my fingers that labour will start soon! Have had a couple of braxton hicks which have sort of moved down my bump rather than 'just' being really bad tightenings.
