How are you managing girls? Is it still ok? No wind or runny poos from the Carob Bean?
We have used Carobel with DS but had to stop because of wind and explosive nappies.
But his reflux is severe especially during the night. He doesnt seem in too much pain but he chokes and gags on his milk, and refluxes constantly so that it comes out his nose and mouth and he cant breathe. If I lift him up all I can hear is.his congested chest and nose and rasping. Poor guy can only tolerate 1oz every 2hours. And is starving and sleeping upright in his swing. I cany sleep for worrying about him choking etc. Paeds wont see us until the 17th as apparently its not an emergency unless he gets dehydrated or stops gaining weight.
I think the wind is better than dealing with the reflux so will have to go back to Carobel.
Aw your poor wee man. Thats awful. What milk is he on?
We stopped the Aptamil AR cause it gave her the worst constipation ever! We're using Nutramigen with added carobel and it's working at the moment. Hardly any sick or choking, she seems happy enough, and has started drinking more milk...
p.s. meant to say the only real problem we're having is wind too. Don't know if it's the carobel, but she gets lots of trapped burps that stop her from sleeping and settling properly.
