are Huggies rubbish? Opinions please!

i've tried 5 different brands and so far huggies are my favorite for my lo. I did have a leakage issue but that was my own fault.

It really depends on your babies bottie:thumbup:

I dont like Pampers because once she has peed in them they stink so bad and the smell gets on her skin.

And i dont think i have had a leak with Huggies Superdry or Naturalcare.

I've used pampers from the start and never had any problems

Madi could have nothing but pampers. Other made her skin irritated and sore. The few times i tried Huggies they also leaked straight out the top when she would lay on her tummy.

But they do the opposite for Zach and they are the only brand i use for him.

They don't even sell Huggies here so they must be bad! :haha:

I used Pampers newborn and hated the smell of them, horrible chemical smell as soon as she wee'd so I switched to a Swedish brand Libero - they are amazing, never leak, no bad smell, no nappy rash - pity they don't sell them over in the UK/US or I'd def recommend them.

I've never been a fan of Huggies. They've always leaked for me. I used Pampers baby-Dry & Acti-Fit for Joshua, now I use Lidl's pull up ones for nights & they have been great. Never used the baby ones though. I tried Asda's Little Angels on Joshua about a year ago & they just leaked all over, I was having to change him every hour!

I used Pampers Newborn for Jacob for the first few weeks before swapping to cloth. Completetly in love with cloth! Wish I had used it with Joshua.

oh great someone has brought me a huge box of huggies as a present

:dohh::dohh::dohh::dohh::dohh:

lol

Just bought some as they were on offer, tried them and they've bloody leaked! Was it a one off or is this normal service? I normally get Pampers.

I bought some 3 days ago put her in them first day and they leaked 4 times out of 4 - only using them in emergency now - pampers much better. x

We used pampers from birth because I had vouchers for them and we've had no problems with leakage. Then last week we got some huggies because we had vouchers for them and lo and behold about 2 hours after putting one on OH noticed that her clothes were wet :dohh: I persevered but found that we just had to keep changing her clothes at every nappy change, so have decided its just not worth it and gone back to pampers. Which is a shame because we have loads of the huggies left.

Huggies leaked wee at the front with my little boy, even if I tucked his dinky downwards!

Jx

Huggies in this house too - Pampers give Romany a rash.... We've never had leakage problems or beads on the skin, BUT i do find sometimes the sids come off when trying to fasten, worse we have had so far is 5 out of big pack - Not bad but not ideal

Yes huggies are awful, we had 3 consecutive leaks and will never use them again. Pampers are good, we stick to them x

For me they are but I think it depends on your baby sometimes when it comes to nappies, some seem to suit others better.

I got some huggies a couple of months ago (I normally use Tesco/ASDA's own but they were on offer), nearly every single nappy leaked! He also used to get covered in gel crystals. I got fed up of changing his sheets every day so I took them back for an exchange and also complained to Huggies and got double my money back in vouchers. I bought a different type of huggies nappy with the vouchers but they were exactly the same!

Pampers don't leak for me but I find they really smell after Alfie has done a wee.

i only found huggies leaked when they were too big for him. hes was only 6lb6oz born so i think he could have done with the size smaller than 1.

so far tried huggies, pampers, boots own and morrisons own and morrisons are by far the best and the cheapest!

Whatever nappy! It totally depends on your babies bottom and tummy shape and size and how you do them up!

Eg, my LO (well BIG ONE) is in size 5s and has been since 8mths. Pampers and Boots are too tight around the tummy, Asdas were too loose so we got leaks. Huggies fit perfectly so i dont get the UTI infection smell from Pampers!

Pampers are great as they are soft like cotton and dont "bulk" the bottom but they are so full of chemicals (to get that look even when full) they fecking stink.

No one brand is the best. It all boils down to your baby's bot'!

Also, some people may strap them too loose. My pal was told by the midwife to not make them too tight. Every time her LO lay down she would get soaked because the nappy was too loose and the MW' advise was taken to literally.

I don't like any Huggies products. Their nappies leaked and their wipes gave LO a rash.

when Ella was first born she was in pampers as they didnt the micro ones and thats just what they put her in at the hospital, for weeks when she came home i was convinced she had a UTI but after many trips to the hospital we found out it was just the chemicals in the nappys now shes in slightly bigger sizes we always use huggies super dry, we've not had much luck with normal huggies but the super dry ones have always been amazing, and for the months when money is tight (although it feels like that every month!) the ASDA's little angels ones have been great :) x
