I am 28 weeks pregnant and am beginning to worry that my breasts are not big enough meaning I won't be able to bf.
Plz tell me if at 28 weeks some of u still had small dcups.. Sounds silly but my breasts don't look like that of a pregnant women.

I had small d cups all through my pregnancy. My breast never grew and still once my milk came in they have not grown much and I breast feed just fine. They produce enough milk and my daughter eats plenty!

D cups? I thought D's were big! I'm a 36C (36B before pregnancy/breastfeeding) and I produce MORE than enough milk for my son.

Breast size doesn't really matter as long as you have a good amount of breast tissue.

It depends on how big around you are. I was a 32D pre pregnancy, which is the same as a 34C or 36B in cup size, so not what at least I think of when I think of a D.

OP ~ Breast size, especially during pregnancy, is not going to make a huge difference on whether or not you'll be able to breastfeed. Your breasts may get slightly bigger because of the activity in your milk glands, but colostrum is not abundant and doesn't take up that much space. You may see a big increase once your milk comes in, but that will not be until after birth. Try not to worry, willpower is 99% of the breastfeeding battle so if you want to do it, you probably will!

I was the same, having a B cup prior to pregnancy, and not a great deal of growth during pregnancy. However, since BF I have steadily increased to a D/DD as my baby's milk demand has gradually increased. You will be fine :)

Every woman has the same amount of milk ducts the only difference is the fatty tissue that makes up the breast which is why some are large and others small xx

My breasts never got bigger during pregnancy or while BF. The only time the increased in size was if I was engorged when baby started sleeping more at night. The size doesn't matter. :)

Breast size isn't an indication of how much milk you will produce, that is a myth:flower:

Oh well I'm glad hopefully I'm like you.. I don't want anymore stretch marks on my breasts. As long as I can produce milk I don't care

Well they are big compared to wat I used to be 10c but I'm a small frame so my d's r quite small... Compared to some other women, I though I was going to get huge uncomfy jugs ! Lol

Thank you to all you women who replied. I figured that colostrum doesn't take up as much space as milk so thought that may be why...
I think you are also right about the size of my cups n around my body being wat makes up my bra size.. I think my breasts have gotten bigger but I just see women breast feeding n their breasts r so engorged compared to mine I guess that's y I was curious.
Thank you

Like the others have said breast size doesn't make a difference. Mine didn't increase much during pregnancy.

I was a 34B pre-pregnancy.. went up to a 36C before labor and a 36D when my milk came in.. after your milk supply establishes after the first month or so, they will most likely decrease in size and won't be rock-hard or engorged.. they might FEEL empty compared to what you're used to, but they're not!
