Are my tests actually a positive?

hun NEVER trust the shit they have at doc i took 5 preg tests including digis and got bfp on all then 2 days later came on af so went to docs with these tests i had done so she could send me for a check, but instead she asked me to do one of her tests she had as i had strong bfps on mine i thought nothing of it and went and done the test although i thought why is she asking me when she has 5 in front of her did she not believe they were mine or something ???
anyways it came bk bfn!! i was confused i knew these 5 diff tests couldnt be lying to me so left docs with the advice to wait till next period to try again, not even a word about being checked, i knew i was preg and i knew my bean never made it as i was bleeding quite heavy and it was early at 4w+ 2d, i was confused like yourself so went to chemist and bought another 2 tests seperate packets so diff batches and both strong bfp, bt sadly over the next 4 days bleeding continued and my bfp got lighter i had lost my bean, but my point is chick dnt trust them doc tests i dnt think they very sensitive, well not sensitive for us TTC girls anyway we all like testing at 9DPO.
hope it goes well hun and them tests look bfp to me no question congrats xxxxxxxxxxx

I had the EXACT same thing happen to me so i would agree that you shouldnt trust the doctors test, plus i believe that a line is a line iykwim, so even a faint line is a line and so generally a +ve but unless its a dark in your face line the doctors class it as a negative. Good luck with the tests over the next few days xxxxxxx

ok itoes look like a BFP but i hate asda tests!! i tested with one in october and i got a big fat purple line in the middle and then i rushed out to get a FR same day and it was BFN my internet cheapies were also BFN and i got my period on time, i even showd the doc and they said it looked like a chemical but i know deep down i wasnt preg at all it was a false positive. Try with another brand hun xxx

You can definitely conceive and produce enough HCG in nine days. Not common, but happens.

It's odd that you'd get a negative OPK but a positive HPT. I'm more inclined to say that that batch of OPKs are faulty, and that you had a chemical pregnancy.

Your doctor isn't dumb for not "knowing" an OPK can pick up on pregnancy. It's one of those things someone's not too likely to think about because that test is meant to predict ovulation. The reasoning behind an OPK picking up on pregnancy makes sense, but isn't necessarily going to connect in the brain. Our doctors are so used to this being for this and that being for that that using this for that just isn't something they think about.
