With you girls here! im 5'4 and 209, ive been all over the scale in my life, i was down too 100 lbs at the start of college due to a very sever eating disorder, then i met dh and ... well began to gain weight haha

When we began ttc, (3 years ago) i was 180 with irregular periods, now im 209 with regular periods??:saywhat: i dont understand it, im just trying to eat healthier and get to the gym more often!

i am 5'3 and use to weight 288lbs...and i was SEXY!!! but for conception reason i lost 60lbs and conceived naturally, the lowest weight i have been was 211, but i gained some weight right now i am 228, and was only able to conceive that one time... and that was a year ago...we tried naturally, thw whole year, but nothing happened so i gave in a bought some clomid...it worked first cycle(AND THEY SAY CLOMID ISNT FOR BIG GIRLS...I WANT TO TELL MY EXOBGYN...KISS MY BIG...HAHAHAHA)

How did you get clomid if your Doc said no?

i just really believe alot of us plus size gals have pcos...i dont even eat that much andif weight still plagues me!!! and if i never had a hormone panel i never would have known, THE CYST DONT HURT ME... but when i had my ulra sound yesterday they were ALL over my ovaries...stopping me fron ovulating even though i have a regular period. tehy also have obesity as its own factor of infertility...

I forgot to add that my periods have completely stopped since June 2008, but they were regular the summer of 2010 because I dropped weight due to the anti-psychotic pills they gave me. Then I gained it back and by October 2010 they had stopped again.

When my periods came back I still never got pregnant so I think I have difficulty in the conception area regardless of my weight so clomid is now my best friend. I o'ed twice on just 50 mg so at least it works.

I should be going back on Clomid next month.

I am very plus size! I am on my 3rd month ttc! I really need to loose some weight but I am just not motivated to do it! Ugh!!

hi all,
I'm a big girl tryin to conceive with PCOS. At the end of January I was 230lbs when I went to my gyno to talk about putting me on pervera so that I could have a period and after putting me on permetrium and pervera my period still didn't come on. I went on Weight Watchers online on Feb. 26th and since then i've loss 16 lbs and I'm now 213lbs, I took Soy pills two weeks ago and my period came on sunday, its been since October since i've seen a period. Finally, I feel there is a change to have a baby sometime in the near future. At this point i'm going to continue to focus on losing weight before trying to get pregnant. Good luck everyone.

Babydust to all!!!

I loved finding this thread! I am a bigger girl, 5'4" 230 lbs... sucks because when I tell people what I weigh they don't believe it... except when I point out my stomach because that's where ALL my weight is... I get asked when I am due all the time, so embarrassing... finally went to the Dr yesterday and we're doing some blood tests on the 15th to check for PCOS or another hormonal imbalance because I've gained 40 lbs in 5 months and I didn't change anything really about my eating or working out. Its good to know I'm not the only one stressing that my weight may be an issue in conceiving.

Hi i think I'm a plus size?!? I'm a size 14-16 (uk sizes) I'm 5ft 4in & weigh 182 lb the lowest weight I've ever been was 140 lb & was a size 10-12.. I'm currently on slimming world my weight is constantly yo-yoing as I'm realy struggling to lose weight on my own my fiancé only weighs 112 lb & eats all the junk food he wants when he wants which I find quite stressfull as my cuboards are filled with junk & he refuses to eat anything health & hates fruit & veg & won't eat it at all :( men!! They can be so frustrating sometimes lol xx

So When I talked to my doctor pcos symptoms can not be there but as for the irregular period or no period that is always a symptom so I didnt get tested cause I have a period every 26-27 days! Should I get tested anyways? I haven't been trying that long only about 4months so I haven't thought to get any test or anything. I have started taking prenatal vitamins a couple weeks ago because the doctor told me that they would help for a healthy baby once it happens...

I am so happy that im not alone!! I am 5'8'' 238lbs TTC with #2! My dr said if we do get :bfp: that she expects me not to gain any weight at all during pregnancy.... have any of you had this experience with your very skinny dr, lol?!?

I would go to a different doctor if she said that to me! You can gain up to 15 to 20lbs. But that weight literally should be all baby. I lost 20lbs and I'm still trying to lose more weight, which if you have PCOS, can help tons when it comes to TTCing!

I am 5'3" and weigh 220 lb. I weighed 249 in October but lost 29 pounds. After losing that much my obgyn did not even encourage me- so I switched doctors. I still have a long way to go. I have PCOS but have had regular cycles for over a year (26-28 days) TTC for 25 months.

A friend of mine started her pregnancy out at 202lbs and she is about to give birth and weighs 190.. The doctor says the baby is healthy and it was normal to lose weight.

My dr said the same thing to me, about not gaining weight, but sadly she's the only dr I can go to because no one else is taking new patients withing 80 miles.

SheilaRae07: Congratulations on the weight loss and I cannot believe your dr was not encouraging, ugh!

If I could switch dr's I would. Its so hard finding a new one that accepts new patients, accepts my insurance, and is willing to do a quick meet and greet with you before you switch... so many have just flat out told me "we dont do that". I want to feel secure and comfortable with you before I take a beautiful 9 month journey with you!!

My midwife told me that I should stay the same weight when I was pg with my 2nd aswell but I don't think she ment it to be rude she explained she just ment with any people plus size or not they expect you to eat healthy & as I wasn't super skinny & obviosly wasn't eating healthy before I got pg that would cause me to lose weight as the baby grew & gained weight resulting in me staying the same weight. I didn't gain any weight until the last few weeks of pregnancy & after I gave birth I had lost over 14lb which I was obviosly extreamly pleased with it's a shame I didn't keep it off tho as I went straight back to my unhealthy eating after :( lol xx

lol did you get a prescrition for clomid or what? i am scared too i think about all the side effects

hia :)

congratulation to those of you with BFP's and well done to those of you who have lost weight!

im 208 pounds (i was 227 pounds at the begining of feb) im doing ww to try to get my BMI down to 30 by the end of the summer as that is our 1 year ttc mark and we will go to the doctors then, i really dont want them to say they cant do anuthing because of my weight :(

I have fairly regular periods and i have ovulated the last 3 cycles (since i have been opk-ing and temping) i do wonder if i have pcos, i used to get bad spots (untill i started taking epo and AC last cycle) and i get greasy hair in 12 hours :(

nice to meet you all :) xxx

i am plus size but have a regular period...like 26-27 days like clock work lol i am in the mist of going to the gym 3 times a week and with my hubby being a marine he is always working out so i am trying to get on the right track i was a 20 in jeans but im back in my 18 and hopefully back in my 14-16 soon :) we have been trying since we got married 3 months ago and i dont think its my weight we are just gonna keep trying.

what day do usually ovulate, i have found that even though i had long periods...like a 30-35day cycle... My luteal phase was too short, like with out the clomid id might ovulate day 25 0ut of 31, leaving me a luteal phase of 6 days... And that is not long enough to support a preg. So i took clomid and progestrone cream and got my bfp.. OF AND WOW EVEN THOUGHT I LOST SIXTY POUNDS MY BMI IS STILL A BIG ASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS 41!!! BUT THE CLOMID 100MG WORKED FOR ME
