Happy V-day to all you lovely ladies! :flow:

I just got back from yard sale hopping. What a great turn-out we had!
The DH and i bought a ton of baby clothes from the Amish. They are such sweet and friendly people. The lady sold us a whole bunch of "potato sacs" and one piece outfits for $0.10 a piece! That was a steel. Then she sold us a really nice stroller-car seat set! Brand new. The entire thing was only $25. On top of that we got a new baby monitor set for super cheap too. :happydance: I love yard sale shopping! Can't wait to go next weekend!

Hope everyone is enjoying their day! TGIF!

Nik, boo to sickiness :( but yay for such a lovely day!!
P&F and Melissa, congrats on |V day!! Feels good :)
Lliena, had a day like that this week too :hugs:
Guppy sounds fun! Yard sales don't really happen here, but I remember them from the summers I worked in the States - great fun! I'm going to look out some car boot sales round here I think :)
We've had another nice day, soft play for birthdays this morning, nice sleep after lunch, and then playing in the garden, and DH quit work early so we met up and had a nice coffee and cake and then some more playing :)
Need some lighter weight mat clothes, the stuff I have from last time is too large a size

maybe your placenta is at the front and cushioning it - what do your notes from your anomoly scan say about placenta position? If it says anterior high then thats your culprit, also means you should avoid feet in the ribs in the later stages though so

Oh gosh yes!! Thats what my scan says- anterior high! Does that mean will not feel kicks from outside at all :nope: awww

Poor you! I can SO sympathise. Hope youre feeling better today. Had same thing yesterday. Sat and blubbered! Feel fat, frumpy and on top of that my hair is a frizzy mess! Hubby was like 'you're so beautiful' (yeah right!) made me cry even more!! So much for preggy bloom! Decided to wear a skirt with kitten heels to work today to make myself feel better..

you will but mainly the big hoofs later on...he will feel them low down if you press his hand a bit. Means you get to avoid the feet in your ribs later on when baby is too big to do somersaults in there. Nowt to worry about though so

No, i think you will feel kicks from the outside eventually. A friend of mine (has a one year old now), had a high anterior. She wasn't able to feel fluttering until about 24 weeks, but she said her DH was able to feel em around 28-30 weeks. :hugs:

Thanks moggymay and guppy! I dont know what it is about feeling kicks that makes me look forward to it so much! I think i dont realise how lucky I am im geting away with the karate kicks in the ribs! I should be happy i can at least feel the flutters and movements..

hi :)

i have only jus the last couple of days felt her kicking really & they are strong but not very strong.. but im not sure how hard they are meant to be... maybe there meant to feel like this :S

& does anyone no where u can get a free bra fitting?

x

M&S, Debenhams do bra fitting.
Also we have a local specialist lingerie shop that does too, but they're quite pushy to buy, and then I feel guilty if I don't! (bit pricier in there, but better service) it's called Pretty Woman but don't know if it's a chain.
Not sure if La Senza do...

thank you :)

i was going to wait cus there meant to grow again at the end arent they?

but they really hurt in my bras now & my bras give me back ache more... :(

& i was going to try la senza but i didnt no if u had to buy after? xx

i'd get some now... it's not worth the potential pain and damage! mothercare measure too, but i don't like their measuring!!
Debenhams and M&S won't give you any pressure to buy. NCT do measuring i think and have instructions on how to do it at home too I think.
You'll need measure again about 37/38 weeks if you plan to breastfeed, as after delivery you rib cage will drop down again, but your cupsize probably increase!

oo thank you.. i wil have to go there tomorow then! :)

its jus im embarrased about getting them out as there leaking.. and dont want them leaking everywhere ... or do they keep ur bra on? iv never been measured before lol!

x

they'll measure over the bra you're wearing, or even over a thin vest or t-shirt. Most places now won't measure cup size (don't know when that changed) just the band size under cup, and will then suggest a cup size to try based on appearances!

https://www.nctpregnancyandbabycare.com/shop/bra-fitting-service

Knew I'd seen it somewhere! Free fitting from NCT volunteers - and a guide on how to measure youreself...

Out here anyplace that sells bra besides department and walmart measures. Most measure band then give you a series of different cups to try on then come in when its on to assess the fit. Don't go to lasenza they don't know what they're doing, I used to work there. Well in Canada they don't anyway. I have always spend good money on good bras, I think my most costly one was 250 canadian. But well worth it. I slowly built up on them as they cost more now I have a good collection... unless boobs stay bigger, then I Have to start again.
