Danielle which hospital is it you are going to?
I was induced at Barnsley - hubby was sent home while I wasn't in actual labour, i.e. the prostin tablet had worked but there was no room for me on the labour ward, so although I was having irregular contractions every now and then, it wasn't full on labour. So hubby was sent home out of visiting hours (though they were sympathetic towards us and while I was in the bath or anything NOT in the ward with other women, they let him stay later so do ask).
He then came back once they said they had room for me over in labour suite....
It is usually the case that if you're on labour ward partner will get to stay, if you're still on the regular ward with other ladies, partner has to go. So if they give you the prostin and it works and there is room for you over in labour ward I shouldn't imagine they send the birth partner home then
