August 2011 mummies! Our babies are here!

I must be odd - I love it when Louis comfort sucks, it's so cute he's all dreamy and happy :D I must have rubber tits coz it really doesn't phase me!
In other news I've lost 1 stone 2lb since having Louis, only 1stone 3lb to go to target!

weight just drops off me n its not as nice as it sounds lol

i dont mind the comfort sucking either, it can get on my nerves but anything to make him happy n quiet lol

I wish it dropped off me. When I had Olivia I put on 3 stone, and ive struggled like hell to loose it. I havent put on anything with Isla, I weighed myself and I was the same weight as my booking in apt at 5 weeks, but the extra weight from Liv has just stuck

I did loose quite abit whilst on maternity leave last time but it all crept back on when i returned to work.

Ok ladies, I need to whine a bit. Inlaws offered to watch Taylor for a a few hours tomorrow so we can go have a date night. Very sweet, and mil is great with her.

So, dh and I came up with a date night plan. The two things we miss the most are sleeping together  and sleeping together :sex: So I went on price line and got us a room at a close hotel cheaper than a movie and snacks  our plan was to dtd then catch a nap.

But of course, after a near year long hiatis, the :witch: shows up today! I'm sooo mad :hissy:

Oh well, at least we'll get a nap.

Tjw so glad you can stay home. I'm so jelous of you ladies in the uk, I have to go back to work in 4 weeks.

Steph, I feelnya :hugs: Taylor has reflux too. I basically have to hold her for her to sleep. I'm a frea kin zombie.

Auntbug that sucks! The ;witch: always shows up at the most annoying times! Enjoy your nap though!

The inlaws had Bobby stay at their house last night so me and OH had a bit of time with just Darcy, we got a takeaway and watched a film. Darcy then decided to have a very unsettled nights sleep which kinda ruined the evening but never mind! We are all still laying in bed snuggling now though, soooo nice to have a bit of a lay in!

Off to town to get a few bits shortly. Hope everyone has a good day

Oh no :( auntbug that's just bloody typical same has happened to me! :(

Auntbug, I got mine this week too :( I thought it was meant to stay away for months when bfing, but oh no, not for me!! :nope:

Maybe you could have a 'special night' once or twice a month? Something romantic and fun to look forward to... :hugs:

After reading all the problems you ladies are having with reflux and no sleep and BF'ing, relatives etc I feel like such a tit for being the one diagnosed with PND. Cal has wind which he holds onto but mostly is a content wee boy.
He does love to comfort suck, I had a lactation specialist tell me that's what the short fast sucks were and that he did not need to feed for an hour etc. But if I want him to go to sleep I let him do it.

He sometimes fills up in ten mins flat and other times will take half an hour. I feel like I can't go anywhere with him as I never know when he's gonna feed and I can't do it without pillows etc as I need the support. That would be a right classy look at a restaurant!:dohh:

Chin up ladies:hugs:

vivienne - i also struggle to bf without a pillow but when i nip i make sure i can raise my knee that supports her. I also fold up a blanket and put that on my knee and it seems to help my confidence.

Also glad you've got to see someone to diagnose pnd as it can be the worst thing to leave develop :hugs:

ive got good at holding corey and feeding him with one arm and no pillows, im going to have huge arms by the time he stops breastfeeding lol
but if my arm gets tired while out i just use the changing bag as support, u can also buy blow up bf pillows.

ive fed him quiet alot out and about, i had to feed him while walking around viewing a house....that was interesting haha

well my house is a dive and i really should start packing soon as ive bought a house :happydance: so we will be moving in the next 6 weeks me thinks

Hello ladies.

This reflux malarky is tiring work. My HV is useless, Ive seen them once since being discharged from the midwife.

My 3 year old is doing anything and everything to play me up.

I know it sounds silly but I really struggle the days DH is at work. Hes out of the house from 9am to 10:30. He works 3 days on then 3 days off.

 Feel like im not coping very well today. Its not the reflux thats bothering me, I can deal with that. Its my 3YO. She's constantly doing things she shouldnt be doing, she never learns. She is disciplined and comes straight back and does the same thing again. I was having problems with her before Isla came but I think because im tired they feel 1000000 times worse. Feel like such a crappy mum

Moomin, Congrats on the house :happydance:

xx

Stef- I can totally sympathize with you. I have an almost 3 year old, and I am constantly on him for the same things, and my DH travels alot for his job. When he's out of town I sometimes feel totally overwhelmed. I hope at least you can be consoled by knowing your older daughter probably isn't being "bad" on purpose, toddlers just need to test their mommies in order to find their limits. I try to keep telling myself that some day I'll miss having a baby and a 3 year old, so I should try to find joy in the craziness!

zane can be more of a little shit now coreys here. he normaly plays up when he just wants attanetion, so when corey gets over this cold im hoping he goes back to sleeping in his chair so i can do more with zane.

yesterday he was doing nothing but moaning so i really needed a break but i cant get one very easily

Well done on the house moomin! :D

Stef sorry things are tough right now hun :hugs:

Well Thomas is 6 weeks old today I can't believe it! How fast has time gone!! Munchkin man has grown out of one piece of clothing so far but he is slowly growing out of tiny baby lol!!

Aw bless him, lovely pic :)

I realised today how much difference there is in weight gain between Harri and Ruby...

Harri was about 1lb lighter at birth and a whole 1lb heavier by 6wks. So in this first 6wks, Harri has gained TWO WHOLE LBS MORE than Ruby did in the same amount of time!!! Nice to know mama's milk is doing it's job lol. Yet the crazy thing is.... Ruby was a right chunky lil thing, yet Harri is slim.... so where the hell is he putting it all???????

i havent compared the boys weight yet but zane was so long so corey looks tiny compared to him lol

Thanks girls. :hugs: Feeling a little better about things this evening, may not last long but at least im not still down in the dumps. Olivia was much better behaved this afternoon.

I had both red books out the other day looking at weight but I didnt take note of difference between weight gain but im gona check in the morning.

I was looking at the graph thing. Olivia was always on 25th centile where as Isla is on the 50th yet Liv was 8lb13 born and Isla was only estimated to be about 7lb 8.

Ive gutted Olivias bedroom today, ive no idea how a 3 year old can make such a mess. But its all neat, tidy and organised and ive also taken out all the stuff she dosent play with. Its hit me how grown up she is getting. And my littlest girl is 1 month today, I'd quite like time to go a little slower. Please

xx
