Hey gypsy! ! How are you, congrats on this pregnancy! Im more sick this time, I had hardly any symptoms last time, so this is pretty new for me. Maybe you'll have a Valentine's baby any scans booked anyone?

Maybe, that would be nice our wedding anniversary is Feb 12th so I'm hoping it doesn't come then or we'll never be able to celebrate our anniversary ever again!

I was really ill with my daughter but with this one the sickness seems more intermittent. I'm hoping this means it's a boy No scan booked yet for me, not even seen the midwife yet. Got my booking in appointment on Tuesday so will hopefully get a scan date soon after. Have you got yours booked yet? X

Hey, I juat had blood drawn today as my obgyn was not in, his receptionist said if my hcg was high enough they will book me for an early ultrasound but if not, ill have to repeat them on Friday, which I suspect to be the case since im only in week 4. I must admit im hoping for another girl, but a boy would also be a joy of course.

I hope I can join. No due date yet but calculated it to be March, but tested twice and strong positives. Baby #1 just turned 13 months. I'm not sure how I'll be able to handle this considering my husband doesn't want anymore kids.

He has 1 from previous marriage and then our son. I'm jealous of all the mommys that have caring husbands.

kgriffin, I am from the midwest, essentially smack in the middle of the U.S. where healthcare is a hot mess. I just talked to my Dr. today and was scheduled for my first check up on August 15th. I'm so jealous of everyone that gets early testing and scans!

We haven't told anyone yet, outside of my closest friend (needed help finding a creative way to tell DH the news) and our daycare provider in order to secure a spot for #2 (quality infant care is so difficult to find here). I'm tempted to blab to everyone I see, but so far I've *barely* been able to keep my mouth shut! I would love to hear some of the creative ways everyone has shared or plans to share their news.

Pandora, welcome. I'm so sorry you don't feel supported by your husband. Do you think maybe he will come around in time?

Hi the first time I felt pregnant with this baby was at exactly 6 weeks but even now it's still intermittent and I get days where I feel absolutely fine and not pregnant at all. I read somewhere that women pregnant with their second babies are less likely to suffer MS so I'm hanging onto that and trying not to worry that I don't feel sick I remember feeling nauseous and having very sore boobs from about 5 weeks all the way through to 10 weeks last time x

I keep thinking another girl would make life so much easier as they'll be sharing a room for a few years until we move and plus I already have everything we need for a girl but on the other hand I know this is going to be my last baby so one of each would be perfect!

Hope you manage to get in for an early ultrasound. I wish I could, I worry over every little twinge and just want some confirmation that baby is growing away healthily in there. My hormones are going crazy through so hopefully that's a good sign. I was crying at Topsy and Tim yesterday x

Usually we don't get ultrasounds here until around week 12. Occasionally you'll get one at 10 weeks if you're unsure of your dates. The nuchal translucency test needs to be done at a specific time to be accurate, so if you are unsure of your dates, they'll figure that out in a separate scan. I have my first prenatal appointment on Monday, basically just to confirm pregnancy and take bloods, and I will be asking for an early scan then.
My previous pregnancy ended in a MMC at 6 weeks, with me not finding out until 12 weeks. I ended up in the emergency room with an emergency D&C at 2 in the morning due to complications. I would like to avoid that again at all costs, so I would like an early scan in order to make sure everything is okay. And if not, then I can schedule a D&C rather than waiting and possibly having another emergency surgery.

Hi everyone. By my own estimate my due date will be somewhere around March 2-4. My "LMP" was actually an early miscarriage, but I got my BFP 29 days later and I'd been feeling pregnant for over a week by then. Symptoms definitely popped up early this time. I have one daughter who is 4 years old with a February birthday. I've also had multiple miscarriages, so I've been kind of obsessive about taking pregnancy tests.

So far things are looking okay - no bleeding and only mild cramping on and off. I had a beta hCG drawn today, and the result was 3,696.8 so I guess that's pretty normal for where I'm at. Keeping my fingers crossed!

My beta was 260 but im only in the fourth week so I go back in 10 days for another blood draw.

Well telling family went well- my mom screamed & dad said he had 'given up' on us having kids! We've been married 7 years.

Have felt pretty good today. Except I just made me a nice healthy salad complete with spinach, broccoli, blueberries, honey goat cheese & now all of a sudden I'm nauseated & I can't even take a single bite. But I'm hungry too, I've always hated this feeling!
Hopefully it goes away soon. My symptoms seem to get worse in the evenings.
