baby #2 due early March, who is with me!!!

I just called and asked a day after I did my blood work. Have you done bloods to confirm pregnancy?

Every dr/obis different I guess. Anyone using a midwife?

I think my number was pretty average for how far along I was - just about 5 weeks. I get mine checked because I have had early miscarriages before. I think if you don't have a history of miscarriage or some other reason to check them, doctors don't usually have them checked.

I have a doctor but my first ultrasound and appointment are both at 9 weeks. Even last time, they just confirmed it with a poas!

I had a very early loss before I jad my daughter, so perhaps thats why mine aee bring checked
9 weeks seems like so long to wait, but it will be great to have that ultrasound!

In the UK they don't do bloods at all. I think you have a blood test at 8 weeks but that's to check for other things. You don't get a scan until 12 weeks. It's funny hearing of everyone getting bloods done, it just isn't like that here! X

Does anyone have their hcg numbers yet???

HCG at 5+2 was 2741. Going in today almost a week later for second draw since I got the first one right before the 4th of July weekend.

Here in Canada they do an initial HCG count when you do your prenatal blood draw. There are several other things they check for at the same time, and the HCG is to confirm pregnancy. (No more poas at the Dr, which threw me this time!)
I've never call ed to check mine though, and they don't usually call unless there's a problem. I've never had a re-draw to check if numbers are doubling, but thankfully I've only had one MC so that usually isnt' a worry for me.

Wow crazy about the UK, I am not patient at all! Its hard not to be anxious. Well ladies, we're in week 5!

Personally I'm actually glad about less Intervention and prodding and poking in the UK. I don't think it'll change the outcome. I'm going to turn down as many of the interventions as I can tbh

Hi ladies. I am projected to be due march 14. This is I am hoping my rainbow baby after 2 miscarriages. It's been 6 months since my last in January and the previous was in August. Keeping my fingers crossed for mine and yours pregnancies! :dust: :dust: :dust: :dust:

Youre totally right that it won't at all change thr outcome, and it probably makes us more anxious in hindsight.
