Baby Buddies!

Can you believe how old our babies are getting?

You guys stay up late! Lydia goes to bed around 8-9:30...she gets REALLY fussy if we don't put her down when she is tired. Crabby when she is tired like her dad and crabby when she is hungry like her mom lol. I wish she would stay up longer because she gets up around 5 am and thinks it is play time. ARGH. Then has been taking like 3 hour long naps a few hours later.

Is Vanessa rolling over yet? Lydia is close. She just finally started to do the mini push up during tummy time. SO CUTE. She use to hate tummy time.

Can't believe it is already Thursday! If I don't talk to you I hope you have a great weekend!

Yes, we do stay up late! Honestly would be very happy if I could push bedtime forward an hour or two, but it's a process!

Vanessa isn't rolling either way just yet. She is really close to getting from back to front. She probably would have mastered front to back by now if I were better about allotting tummy time, but I just don't do it often enough! But she will roll to her side from her back and swing her legs around like crazy. If I take the top leg and push it over she can pretty much do the rest with her arms and stuff, so she's close to getting it I think.

Wow, time is really flying! They are getting so so big!!

Lydia Jo is 4 months old today! I cannot believe it!

How was your weekend? How are things going?

My best friend who has been trying for 8 months to get pregnant is finally preggo and she has the same due date I had last year! Nov. 16th. Crazy. So happy for her.

About 1 month until we move into our new house!

OH she's beautiful Erika!

Weekend here was busy. Not enough hours in the day, and the time change really kicked our butts with bedtime too. Think Michaela's teething (molars, oy) is hitting some kind of peak because she has been near inconsolable crying for an hour or two in the night the past few nights. So hard to see my baby in tears like that. And Vanessa I think is getting into the 4 month sleep regression and 2 of the last three nights has been screeching/wailing too. :( Tonight it was both of them in stereo!!

Oh and Vanessa can roll back to front now. Has been able for the last 3 days!! She moves her legs like mad when she's on her tummy, but she's not getting anywhere. Definitely thinking she'll crawl earlier than Michaela did (11.5 months!)

Hope everything is well for you!

Thank you! Cute pics! I love the owl blanket. That is Lydia's bedroom theme. I can't wait to move and kind of decorate it even more with owls lol. I love the woodys theme!

I hope sleep was better last night. The last 4 nights Lydia has only woken up once or twice and gone done super easy by 8:30. The time change didn't really effect her I guess. I think we deserve some sleep after 4 weeks of getting up every hour or two! I hope you get some relief soon!

Vanessa has just fallen asleep around 8:30... the big one is still running around, but I need to try and get her down too. She didn't get a nap today. Started nodding off around dinner time, but it was too late for a nap at that point so I whisked her off for an early bath instead. She's had a nice big bottle and I really need to try and get her back to the sleepy state she was at during dinner! If I get her to bed any time in the next hour though it's a win for me. haha. Only if she stays that way!

Vanessa did such excellent tummy time today. Michaela was so much less tolerant of it. I think it'll help this ones milestones come a little sooner. That and trying to get away from big sis who seems to always want to play "what object can I stick in Vanessa's eye next". Definitely have to be on my guard when the two of them are on the same level!

Hope bedtime has gone well for you tonight. I best go get this biggun to sleep. cross your fingers for me!

How has sleep been the past few nights in your house?

Lydia has not been doing great at naps during the day but fine at night. Can't win them all I guess. LOL

She rolled over and belly laughed yesterday! Completley surprised me!

We are having problems with when other people hold her she freaks out. It is hard because when I coach the gym moms watch her until DH can pick her up and she has been FREAKING out. I am not sure what to do. ARGH

Happy Thursday!

Hey buddy! How are you? Long time no talk! Hope sleep is going better over at your house :)

Ah! Sorry, I looked at your post and didn't have the time to respond and forgot to come back!! :p Sorry!

Sleep is going... okay. It could def be worse I guess, but it's no earlier than 12:30 that I get to go to bed at night. I wake up a few times in the night usually, but only have to feed Vanessa once usually. Still get around 7 hrs of sleep so that's good.

Been weaning down on the pumping and just over the last few days have had to start bringing up my stash from the freezer because I am not quite meeting Vanessa's demand some days and I still freeze part of my first pump session in the morning because it's a LOT of thin foremilk and I want her to have more fatty stuff.

Brought up the jumperoo and put it together. She likes it, but not as much as Michaela did yet.

Hope you are doing well with sleeping. Is Lydia still crying when other people hold her??

Hi! Sorry we were out of town for 3 days. Sleep is going really well for us! How is it for you?

Strangers on the other hand still an issue but we are getting better. We were at a wedding this weekend and she did so good with other people holding her.

How are you guys doing? We just got a jumperoo. How do I know if she is ready for it? She still hates tummy time. She is a little behind on it so she is going to a physical therapist who said she hates tummy time because she has torticollis (weak and stiff neck muscles).

Anyways I hope you guys had a great weekend!

This weekend was really not good for sleep. Got around 4 hrs each night all broken up :( Last night was pretty good though. She did have trouble GETTING to sleep, but only woke once in the night once we got her there. :)

DH and I went out to dinner last night with a friend of his so we could meet his girlfriend. My ILs watched the girls. Enjoyed talking and being out so much time got a bit away and returned home later than expected and they had both girls sleeping, but Vanessa had only just gone down and she woke as they were leaving. :p

Vanessa is just now taking her first long nap of the day (at 4 pm) she woke around 10:30 a took a catnap at 1 and had been kind of fussy ever since. Glad she's finally napping even though I had to put her in the swing to get her there. Should really try to transfer her to the crib now...

Hope sleep continues to go well for you!!!

Hope you had a good week/weekend and a Happy Easter!!

Things have been better here sleep wise for the week and this weekend. We actually made it to church (though we were 15 minutes late). Girls were adorable in their dresses. Vanessa wore Michaela's new years dress from last year. ;)

Both girls are sleeping now and I need to try and get to bed too!

Hi there! Sorry I have been mia lately! Busy packing for our new house! 10 days until closing day! Glad sleep is better. I am starting to put Lydia in her crib for naps to get use to it. In May I would like her to go into her own room! Makes me teary eyed thinking about it! Anyways, I had a great Easter and am so glad you guys did as well!

Happy news as my best friend is pregnant and has the same due date as I did!

So cool for your friend and excited that you are moving soon! I can imagine that's taking up a lot of your time right now!

Hope Lydia transitions well when you do put her in her own room.

7:30 so I really need to be getting Vanessa's bath started... Later!

Just saying hey! So busy this week...3 day until we move!

My parents are coming up today as there is a huge winter storm coming. 10 inches we are suppose to get. My mom has an apt at Mayo clinic so she wants to make sure she can make it there.

I will have to post pics when we get all moved in!

How are you guys doing? Lydia has been still doing great for sleep. Last week there was one night she got up 3 or 4 times but I guess not every night can be perfect! :)

winter, still? Ugh! Can't stand it!

we are doing well here. nothing really exciting going on. Michaela is picking up on new words every day! I love watching her blossom. She is being a little hellion at mealtimes though and doesn't want to each much of anything and it's really starting to worry me. They said under one food is for fun, but she is 4 months away from being 2, so it really concerns me when I can barely get her to eat anything. If she was eating better I could stop buying toddler formula and just give her milk and juice, but as it is I'm too scared to take any of the added nutrients away from her. :(

Vanessa is doing pretty good. Still not weaning yet, but that is fine with me. I'm thinking in a month or so I would like to do some homemade purees and maybe some cereal (?), then around 8 months want to start her on SOLID foods. I want her to have a better start then I gave Michaela. Hate that I feel like I made mistakes with my first. :(

Sleep time is going fairly well around here. Vanessa will typically sleep most of the night. she goes down around 8/8:30 and sleeps til 8 or so with maybe a wake up around 4 am, but not always. Feel a little more sane that we've got a bit of routine back finally. Only took 4 months! Vanessa is 5 months old on Sunday!

Hope you and yours are doing well and hope the move goes very smoothly and you get settled in quickly.

Are you weaning Lydia yet? what are your plans for that?

Hey, been over a month. Just wondering how you've been and if everything's all right w/ you and Lydia!

Things are okay here. Sorta seems like Vanessa might be starting to get some separation anxiety. Screaming when I leave the room, that sort of thing. I don't like this part of development!!

Hey there! We are all moved into our new house and we were without internet for over a month!

We are good. Lydia is growing up so fast. She has gone through seperation anxiety already and it seems to be getting better. She started solids around 5 months and we are on two meals a day! She eats oatmeal cereal for breakfast and veggies for dinner now. We may be moving to 2nd stage food soon. She is sitting up and almost crawling. She is scouting and going backwards just not forwards.

How are your babies? We got 6 month pics taken the other day and I will try and post one after...it is a pic of a pic but you can still see how big she is!!

6 month stats- 17lbs 1 oz and 26 1/4 inches long!
