Baby Bugs Due February 2013

Hi ladies, sorry have read up.

Happy birthday midnight. What milk are you using? My local saisburys keep running out out of SMA so when they finally had some I got two tins. I've phoned up twice to the head office and they keep saying the problem will sort it out... But I've been in there five times and they have had no milk!!!!! Dont they realize that there is a small window to get out and go shopping?

Lucky, hope you enjoyed the evening to yourself.

TNT hope your ok after the coil- I still don't know what to do?

Becca hope she is ok now?

Embo, hope Connor is better today? They say day 4 is the worst? My Demi had it at 4 weeks and was also in hospital.

Can't remember much else, xxxx

Ruby all good, spent most of the day asleep! Still slept 9pm till 5am- milk and then till 7am.
What's everyone up to today? X

Thanks :) my birthday creapt up so fast as was preoccupied with babys!

JAdes on cow and gate green! I tried 6 shops! Tesco said people were getting it as soon as it came in! I had to order on amazon for 30 and my mum got the same! Fingers crossed it arrives today. It said 1pm!
Happy 4mths blake :)

JAde slept 7:45-4.50 then back till 7.30 but she went bk to sleep with dummy till 8. Xx

Ohh girls, we had a horrible night with Harry last night. He would not settle at all - so we gave him a dummy and it sort of worked. He wanted to always be in someone's arms, sucking on something. And my nipples are really not up for that (plus, it's all very well to send a baby to sleep breastfeeding, but you still have to wind them!). :nope:

It was a bit of a controversial decision really, but DH and I both looked it up and some websites recommend a dummy to send young babies to sleep.

Happy birthday Em. :flower:

There is a milk epedemic...I read about it the other day. Chinese people keep buying it all up to send to China because over there, there has been loads of chemicals in the Chinese milk and babies were dying so they want to use ours because its safer.

Most supermarkets are now limiting you to two tubs per customer to try and stop peoople buying in bulk.

Midnight, our Asda ALWAYS has loads of baby milk, I would have happily got you some and sent it to you to save you all that money!

Dont feel bad Bec. He is over a month now so shouldn't affect breastfeeding so don't worry and I couldn't cope with outside jades dummy! Especially when she wont settle!

Hugs x

Dummies are fine Mrsswaffer, if it helps you get some rest and helps Harry get some much needed sleep then there is absolutely nothing wrong with it. Both of my two have had dummies...it saves my sanity

Em, I'm not entirely sure about the nipple confusion issue (though I know he much prefers the boob to nipple shields), since Harry has never had a great latch. I'm going to cross that bridge after he's been assessed for posterior tongue tie. It may be a case of switching to formula if they find nothing wrong, for my own sanity! :(

Dont feel bad about using a dummy, you just have to do what keeps you sane!

I am really fortunate that Elodie doesnt need winding in the night, I think it is because I feed her laying down? But then again she isnt a big hungry boy baby so she probably has less milk!

She's still a little fussy today :(, although I believe she's exhausted from crying. She won't let me put her down, so I'm kind of stressed, at myself, not her. Also feeling super guilty as I'm craving cigarettes pretty bad . I'm just crap.

Hope you're all okay.

What about a sling becca? Swaddling?

I dont really wind jade in night tbh, just a 10second sit up before I put her back down bit like Elodie, Jade only takes 3oz in night each time x

I need a sling, she's attached to me.

Bex, its tiring, no time for mummy.

Yep. :( I said to Alex last night, "At least you get a break from him and go to work!" :haha:

Are you ladies getting out to groups at all? My eldest was a difficult, crying, clingy baby and I used to find even if she was screaming at a baby group at least I was socialising and getting out the house.

With Ivy I used to go for a walk every day to get at least one good nap, it also felt like time to myself.

It is hard going from no children to having a baby. Me and DH were saying the other day that with Elodie it is like nothing has changed because since having Ivy we have had no real time to ourselves, so we are used to it this time!

I have to get out daily so that I don't slowly lose my mind! And luckily (touch wood), Harry sleeps really well in the pram. I'm also going to a breastfeeding support group on Thursdays and - now that all babies have been born - our antenatal class is resuming our Friday meet-ups. :)

My mum is coming (again) this afternoon, and she had SO much patience with Harry. I might even get a bath.

morning ladies hope all are ok taking lena to the doc again this morn has been fussing with her bottles again kicking away and arching her back, crying in her sleep, coughing, gulping and just being fussy oh and shes 10 weeks today:cloud9:

oh and happy birthday em xx

Happy 10 weeks, little Lena! :) Hun, I'm sure her fussy behaviour will calm down by 12 weeks. I'm counting down the weeks for Harry (though, trying not to wish the time away - it's hard!).

Bex! We're too much alike. I say the same to Liam. Don't get me wrong, I love being a mummy, it's amazing but it tiring and Liam gets a break with work. I'd like just 5 mins. Mind you, even when I'm away from her she's on my mind, tiring.

My auntie is here today again, she like your mum, has very good patience!

Hope the rest of you ladies are good.
