Baby modelling?

I'm with Bruce & Brown so they have all their jobs in London. But I think scallywags and Elizabeth Smith might have jobs out of London too. Not too sure if they charge any fees though. x

Elizabeth Smith have a London vicinity only policy so wont take children out of area...I believe if its over an hour in distance to get there then they wont take you.

definitely don't do it, modeling means they pay you, not the other way around.

I looked up nearby modeling agencies where we live, found an email address on their website, and then emailed the information they required (usually it's listed within the site somewhere) and added 2 or 3 pictures of DD. I got a reply back, they wanted to send a contract to us right away, too bad DH is taking a job elsewhere (6hrs away from where I thought we were originally going to be living) so now I have to start looking in VA instead

I have heard that if you pay it could be a con - I have nothing against the whole 'my baby is model' but I defffo have a problem paying for it - they should be paying you!

A few months ago there was this same thread on here where a bunch of new moms were all having their babies accepted. It was supposed to be exclusive, even though they want you to pay a fee. Does anybody else remember??

Yes I do.

If you have to pay it's a scam. I used to model, basically if they think you'll get work and paid jobs you dont have to pay them, otherwise they are just making money off you....

My friends baby got on the front of a Toys R Us catalogue, I know they never paid their agency any fees. I will find out which one it was

Hi girls,

I'm finding this a really interesting thread! for those of you whose LOs have had modelling jobs do you mind me asking roughly how much money they make each time - personal question I know but just interested! :-)
Thanks xx

Hi my son is with scallywags the fee we paid was 199 for his web page. There is an alba a list to check if the agency your looking into is the real deal or a scam. Baby shak & bizzy kidz is also a good agency my dd was with them and had work for babies r us. Other good ones have been mentioned. Stay well clear of models direct!!!

My LO was offered contracts with both agencies we applied to we have yet to decide if we are going to go through with it or not.

She was offered scallywags and elisabeth smith!

Also been told truley scrumptious is another really good one... My friends LO is with them and she had castings for burberry, gap and debenhams :)

Most agenices I've looked into (on the alba list of reputable agencies) most of them do ask a fee to set up! I think its wrong for them to do so, but I think it is the norm tbh

Undecided if we are going to do isabelles modelling as finding the time when mat leave ends. Some want her to go to casting at the drop of a hat but with us both working it will be hard to do so unfortunatly xx

Xxx

It's adult modelling tha shouldn't be asking for an up front fee- children's companies do ask for a one of charge to set u pics and put on their books/ on lines. It's something like £100 ish. We looked into this when our LO was little and told we would be accepted but I changed my mind when I thought about what an hassle it would be to gave give p our precious days off to go and do shoots, so I never got round to it. tHe money would have been good though and I would have put it in his savings for his future x
