Hey ladies...I was just wondering how early most of you heard the baby's heartbeat. I'm going for my first doctor's visit on Nov 13th. I will be 9 weeks then, and he will do the full assessment then. My sister said he will use a dopplar (?) to search for a heartbeat, has anyone heard the heartbeat that way at 9 weeks? Or will it be too early?

Hi Sherileigh

If you read this other thread

https://www.babyandbump.com/pregnan...eard-my-babba-my-doppler-arrived-morning.html

people have been testing from around the 9 week time with positive results - that thread may help.

I think it varies from practice to practice, but in general i dont think the doctors or mw's will use a doppler until 16wks ( in know mine dont) as it can be hard to find the heartbeat before then so can be distressing (even tho nothing is wrong iygwim?)

I had a doppler with my DD pregnancy and loved it! I found her hb from around 10 wks.

You and i are due on the same day, woo hoo!!!!!!!!!
