BFP after TTC for almost 5 years?! NEW TEST PG 9

Yes, the info has been reassuring! I actually slept alllllll day today. I'm so tired haha. Can exhaustion hit so early?!

Thanks for sharing stories and tests etc. They do give me hope! This time tomorrow I will have my beta results (going to get blood drawn very early AM). *breathes*

As for all the things you asked me, Amber, I think it would be exciting to wait until birth to find out but I don't think I could wait that long, LOL. Either sex we are over the moon with - this road has been long and hard and we are just excited for either. We have had our names picked out for years but of course there's always a possibility that once we meet our little bundle they may not fit the names we have picked.

It is fun to imagine who they will look like and who they will be.

Exhaustion can absolutely kick in early. For me it started 2 or 3 DPO and last until 17 weeks.

And as far as the name goes - that's what happened to us. We announced one name but ended up going with a different one because she just didn't look like an Athena to us when she was born :)

Can't wait for those beta results! Go Clementine's bean!

^ I love your LO's name... very cute! DH doesn't understand that when our baby is born that they may not look like the name we have chosen, he's just like "how can someone look like a different name?" - but me? I'm a name nerd and have had favourite names for years. Like Clementine - it is not my name, but my rather my favouite name, and it has been at the top of my list for years and years and DH haaaaaaaaaates it. He has said he is completely fine with us using Clementine as a middle name, so I'm happy with that.

I got some very exciting news tonight. A text from my childhood best friend who has been struggling to get pregnant after a loss last year - she wanted to confide in me that she is pregnant and that they found out yesterday! She is one day behind me! It was only a week and a half ago that I went to visit her for her engagement party and she said "you know what? we are going to have babies together". I am over the moon for her and her DF, and also us too!

Other good news is that my Nanna is out of hospital after her blood transfusions, and she said she is feeling slightly better but not completely. Hoping in the coming days she's feeling great.

Oh yeah the exhaustion can kick in super early. I was like a bump on a log for the longest. lol. Frequent urination can come on early, but it's not as intense as last tri FU. Can can start getting something called "lightening crotch" (which, for your sake, I REALLY hope you don't experience, lol. ) I, unfortunately, was one of the one "non-textbook" ones (they say it is normally a 8wk plus thing) but mine was super, super early, and it literally feels like someone has jabbed a knife right up your vajayjay into your cervix and twisted. It is SO painful if will literally make you jump every time it happens, lol. OMG- I so do not miss that! and it only got worse as my pregnancy went on, bc later on, it was actually my LO tap dancing on top of my cervix. Geez. I will say this, you having exhaustion this early is a REALLY good thing! It means that your body is working overtime to get everything to that LO that it means, which means draining you! So even though it's tough to power through, it's for a good cause! Extreme hunger, and smell aversion are other ones that come on early. I'm trying to remember back to the very beginning of my pregnancy to tell you everything that at least happened with me, which doesn't necessarily mean anything for your pregnancy, but I always thought it was interesting to compare my symptoms to others when I was pregnant. I also got skin break outs really early on and I cried a lot in the very beginning over very silly/stupid things (looking back now) they didn't seem trivial at the time though

all that is very helpful, and reassuring. lightning crotch sounds similar to the cramps i get on the first and second day of AF... very painful. i've had a couple of those recently but not constant like i do with AF. fingers crossed it's a good sign :)

i'm on the edge of mine too, mrs mb!

it's currently 3am and i can't sleep. i'm too nervous (and yet excited!) going for bloods at 8 or 9, i can't remember which time this lab opens haha.

the nurse said going by my calculations, if i am 16dpo today, the levels would need to be over 100. now, by my calculations - because there's going to be 72 hours between the test there would need to be a minimum of 119. let's hope for the level to be much much higher!

i will take a FRER when i wake up, just so i can have a reference for my beta.

i did take a couple of cheapies a few hours ago when i peed and they've gotten a lot darker. the crappy ones that weren't really giving a line yesterday have a nice line on them... so fingers crossed. ahhhhhh.

What did I tell you!! Now that your levels are getting on up there each time they double it's way more noticeable. I'm SO happy that your new test's were much darker then before. Can you post pics please? I can't wait to hear your numbers tom. I wish you would skype me in so I would be able to celebrate with you, bc I just know that they are going to be great! Also wish you would pm me you address, so I could do a little something special for you ;)

Will you try to post the pics of the FRER tom, before you leave to go to the lab? try to let it sit for like 20-30 mins before taking the pic, bc they are kind of slow to fully develop. Please? :hugs: I'm so freaking excited it's ridiculous

It's currently 7:26am and I dipped the FRER close to 10 mins ago. It's darker than 2 days ago, so I am curious to see how dark it gets in the next 10 mins or so when I jump out of the shower and check!

Pic taken at 7:40am. Top test is from 14dpo, bottom is today at 16dpo:
