Hello!! Well I shouldnt be here at all as i'm not even preggers yet.....trying to be though ha ha. Just wanted to say you have all made me feel loads better about being pregnant...when I get there. I'm trying to lose a bit of weight, but not going too well...i'm a bloody nightmare ha ha
I have been worrying about getting pregnant and doctors appointments etc its taking off the excitment of ttc. I'm generally 'healthy' for my size, no high bp or anything so at least i'm ok at the moment.
How long did you lovely ladies take to conceive?
Actually my husband and I were going to start trying in May and opps! It happend a little early! Im 5'10 and around 313 but im sure im gaining weight. I was 330 when I got pregnant.
O a little advice im sure you know by now..
Lay down 20 min after doing the deed, cut out caffine and only have sex every other day to give the sperm some time.
Good luck!
Thank you! Congratulations!!
Good advise thanks, i'm trying to down/out caffine...I love my morning cuppa If we bd in the night I can lay down for a good 20-30 mins but sometimes we have to bd in the morning and its a bit of a rush...oh so romantic ha ha.
I would guess i'm prob not far off what you weigh, no idea what my bmi is, but jave you had a good pregnancy so far? Are the docs and midwives nice to you or do you get lectured? x
Im having a good pregnancy so far. My blood pressure is better then when I wasnt pregnant. My asthma is a touch worse but I have three doctors I see once a month so they are taking care of it. My first ultrasound they found a fibroid which is pushing the baby back a bit but shouldnt be a problem. I was really afraid I would be in the hospital from morning sickness, but Ive only had four spells of actually sickness and Ive just been nauseous on and off.
We dont really have midwives here but my OB didnt say a word about my weight. The only think that was said to me was watch what you eat and try to get some walking in.
Where I go, it isnt uncommon to be obese, so I think that makes it easier.
My regular doctor did tell me that we need to work on my weight but not till after the baby is born.
I was so scared I was going to get lectured and told how much of a bad person I am for getting pregnant with my weight but that wasnt the case. I really feel that if the doctor cares about you they wouldnt right off give you a lecture (maybe give you some help, but not tell you how many problems youre going to have). Make sure you feel comfortable with the doctor or you are going to feel like crap.
Also taking prenatal pills while trying to conceive helps
I wish you the best of luck and feel free to ask me any questions
