Hi

Could anyone tell me what happens when the hospital applies for your NHS funding?

My consultant told me it would take 4-5 months this was in October.

Would i get a letter to say the funding is now available or would the hospital contact me?

Any advise is much appreciated x

Hi, dont know about your hospital but ours wrote to our PCT straight away and the PCT wrote back to confirm funding, all within about 6 weeks. We were then referred to our clinic.

I would ring the fertility specialist department at the hospital and see where things are up to and make sure they have written to your PCT. I think different PCTs may take longer to write back with confirmation.

Thanks for your reply, i think there is a longer waiting period, i was told it could be upto 5month, but i will be ringing the hospital to see where i stand snd how much longer.
