BLW - what did your LO eat today?

yesterday
b-sugar free strawberry jam on toast
l-half a large rice cake with cream cheese, breadstick with humous, slice of raw red pepper and 1/2 a banana
d-spaghetti in cream cheese sauce, homemade veg pizza and a quorn sausage

Yesterday -

B - Toast and Weetabix with Pear
D - Dairylea Sandwich, Cheesestring, Organix Snacks and Yoghurt.
T - Chilli, Rice, Grated Cheese and Pear

B - Toast
L - quiche and rice cakes
D - Apricot chicken, rice, mashed potato, corn, peas and beans.

1% was actually eaten, the rest decorated the floor

B: rice krispies
D: pasta & tomato sauce (from the BLW cookbook - he bloody loved it, and ate almost a full bowl!)
T: easy Dahl (from the BLW book) & brown rice, a bit of pitta bread & mango

b - shredded wheat bitesize (about 2 bits!) half a slice of toast with dairylea, half a yogurt
l- tuna croquette, red pepper, banana
d-fish pie, green beans, mini corn, fruit pot

b - oat crisp cereal, strawberries & a kiwi

l - ate out so he had bits of everyone's meal, plus some bits i had taken to keep him going while we waited - 2 1/2 apple rice cakes, a babybel, 2 organix rusks, some tomato, cucumber and grilled chicken from my salad, some garlic bread, 3 potato wedges and a corner of yorkshire pudding! and the strawberries from my sundae for dessert!

t - baked potato with the insides scooped out and mashed up with some cheese, tuna and spring onion, and more strawberries.

OMG I am loving this BLW malarky (although I am still cheating with his breakfast), he has come so far in two weeks and is already actually, really eating - who needs teeth huh

B: porridge with apple and mango (I gave him this) but he ate himself two whole strawberries and a little bit of banana
D: 2 x organix carrot sticks - spaghetti hoops / sausage on toast of which he ate about 1/4 of a slice of bread and half a dozen hoops (the sausage was too slippy and he dropped it on the floor )

I wouldn't normally give him tinned hoops but it's what my eight year old wanted so I let them eat together.

One question, how long before I stop being poised at the high chair ready to whip him out and de-choke him

is he choking or gagging? gagging can look like you think choking would look sometimes, because they can cough and splutter a lot with it. i have never seen choking (touching wood!) but hayden still gags sometimes when he's a bit too enthusiastic and shoves his food too far in. never had to do anything, though - he just sorts himself out.

It is just gagging shambaby and he doesn't actually do it very often, it's just me and my nerves that are on standby when he gums a big chunk of something - lol

lol, well hopefully you will get used to it soon. and it does gradually reduce as the gag reflex moves further back - hayden has to shove a whole pepper strip or something in now for it to happen.

Sham I made the chicken goujons, they were lush, thanks!

b: yoghurt, blackberries and raspberries
snack: a milk and vanilla cookie
l: we went for a roast so Ivy had a bit of mine - cooked carrot, yorkshire pud, broccoli, peas, a bit of potato and a bit of beef
d: gnocchi, tomato and courgette bake, some cherry tomaotes and avocado and blueberries for dessert

Lou that gnocchi bake sounds delish, was it one you bought or made? Thanks

Its this recipe but I add some courgette in it too :) It is so easy and quick to make.
