BLW - what did your LO eat today?

I'm loving reading all the meals! It gives me a good idea of what I'm going to do when LO starts weaning! (I'm thinking waaaaaaaaaaay ahead here, lol!) Are there any good books that you ladies recommend or should I just play it by ear?

hello :hi:

i have the blw cookbook by gill rapley, which is really good - the first bit explains the principles and theory behind blw, plus what kinds of food to start when, and the rest is recipes. i have made quite a few, and have been really pleased - the main meals all serve 2 adults and 1 baby, and the lunches are for 1 adult and 1 baby, so they are just right. and yummy. i particularly liked the tomato chicken and the pork burgers.

What suggestions do you have for a 6mth old? Noo has had most vegetables and fruits (which the skin around her mouth unfortunately reacts to). We're still early days so only on one meal per day but looking to introduce a second soon.

I'm thinking toast and fruit or yoghurt for breakfast and vegetables with perhaps chicken or fish for evening meal. Does this sound ok? How long can I keep this sort of thing up before she gets bored? (or more likely I do....)

Do you have the BLW cookbook there's some great ideas in there. We had the lemon and tarragon chicken last night but used turkey instead of chicken. Luke loved it. We're having the meatballs tonight with pasta!

B - Weetbix with strawberries and banana and pear
L - Grated carrot sandwich (yuk!)
D - baked potato with cheese and ham

Breakfast: shredded wheat
Lunch, cherry tomatoes, quiche, strawberries, cucumber, sausage roll, lettuce (we arent good at lettuce yet)
snack - bread and raisins
tea- pasta with cheesey sauce and ham
