BLW - what did your LO eat today?

its weird, the meal we all seem to have 'issues' with is breakfast! ruby rarely aate more than a mouthful for months and months, in fact, its only really in the last month that shes had any sort of interest in breakfast!

Sophia eats tonnes at breakfast - not big on lunch though! :dohh:

Thomas is the same, he was always very keen on breakfast and I often have to keep going back for more food. Lunch was the slowest meal for us to get started although he usually eats quite a bit at all his meals now.

Olivia has had tuna on brown toast for breakfast this morning and polished off nearly two slices! Unheard of really as Olivia is never normally a breakfast person.

Ruby has started all but refusing lunch. It used to be her best meal by far!

Today...
B - Smaller than usual bowl of Shreddies
L - Refused cheese and biscuits, one bite of an organix fruit bar
Snack - 2 spelt biscuits, half of OH's mega sweet cupcake (naughty OH - I was out doing the shopping!)
Dinner - Big slice of homemade bacon and mushroom pizza, plum fromage frais, few bits of pear.

It seems to me that Ruby still has only got the capacity to eat 2 meals a day - she's never been big on all 3 meals a day. Now she is 14 months I think we shall drop her down to one milk feed a day and see if that makes any difference.

B: None today. I didn't offer and he didn't miss it.
L: Leftover champ, fish, few tomatoes, breadsticks dipped in hummus.
D: Home-made chicken burgers, oven chip type things, carrots, more hummus. Hope hummus isnt too bad as he ate a tonne of it today :/

Snack: banana in town. Had a nice wee moment sitting eating our bananas in town today in between shopping :D

Kyle had/tasted:

B : few mini shreddies/oatabix, pineapple, strawberry
L : butternut squash, carrot, baby sweetcorn
D : fish with mashed potato (fish cake disintegrated!), rice cake w/hummus, banana, strawberry

B: shreddies

S: humzinger
D: 2/3rds a slice o. Toast with tuna & cheese melt. Cherries & grapes. Frozen fromage frais tube.
S: raisins

at lunch he kept shouting and pointing at our plates - we had the same as him but even giving him bits of ours wasn't what he wanted... Eventually realised he wanted a fork so I gave him a plastic one & he speared his potatoes with it & ate them :)
he tried his hardest to spear peas too but had to give in

Adam has had:

b: mini shredded wheats & shreddies, 4 prunes (rejected very sour peach)
l: (bits of) cheese & tomato sandwich, yogurt, tiny bit of galia melon, few Organix cheese & herb puffs
s: strawberries, raspberries, half a breadstick
d: piece of cheese & onion quiche, new potatoes, tomato, raspberries

I think I might start posting in here now Eve is actually eating some bits and bobs!

B - quarter of a banana, half a fromage frais, 1 mini shredded wheat
L - cheese stick, small piece of bread, refused tomato and cucumber

T: pasta and meatballs in a tomato, garlic and onion sauce

Lots of milk feeds and a tiny amount of juice (poured most of it on the kitchen floor :dohh:)

Bun had the best day he has ever had!!

L: 1/2 small piece of toast with hummus, 3-4 large spoons of applesauce
D: ricotta and zucchini quiche, roasted sweet potato (he downed 8-10 bites at least!!!)
:happydance:

Yesterday Jacob had
B Bitesize raisin shredded wheat - he didn't eat much
L scrambled egg on toast and a couple of slices of a large orange
D sweet pototo, half a sausage, corn on the cob and sugarsnap peas, little piece of melon

Today so far

Afternoon :hi:

Does anybody make their own korma? I've made chicken curry with loads of mixed spices, coconut milk and chicken stock which was yummy! I've read to make a korma with a korma paste but i can't find it anywhere!?

Any ideas? Thank you muchly x x x

P.s i usually shop in asda is it in any other shops? :flower:

B: 3 handfuls of shreddies, a solitary cherry

S: half a slice of carrot cake in our local healthfood cafe (shared with mummy who ate all the yummy icing half!)

L: hazelnut butter sandwiches (made from 2 slices of milk roll bread), 2 large breadsticks, raspberries, 3 apple baby ricecakes.

S: 1.5 thin slices of homemade banana bread.

D: Half a small jacket potato, the fish from 2 fish goujons, half a tin of low salt/sugar beans (feel very guilty about these as he also had beans at the weekend but we had leftovers & he loves them & I was tired... will be much healthier tomorrow!), about a tablespoon of grated cheddar, raisins, frozen fromage frais tube.

I'm not quite sure where he puts it all some days!

Home made Korma paste

2 cloves of garlic
thumb sized piece of fresh ginger
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
1 tsp garam masala
1/2 tsp sea salt (I leave this out)
2 tablespoons groundnut oil
1 tablespoon tomato puree
2 fresh green chillies (i just use one)
3 tablespoons desiccated coconut
2 tablespoons ground almonds
small bunch fresh corriander

spices for toasting
2 tsp cumin seeds
1 tsp corriander seeds

method
toast spices in frying pan on medium/high heat for a few minutes, then grind in pestle and mortar/whizz in food processer. Then peel the garlic and ginger and put in a food processer with all the other ingredients (including the toasted spices) and whizz until a smooth paste is formed.

This paste can then be used to make up your curry with onions, more ginger, chickpeas, coconut milk and some more desiccated coconut.

I hope this helps. If you want the full recipe for the curry then let me know.

Breakfast: nothing! Offered shreddies but he mainly played with them
Lunch: a rice cake with philadelphia, a small amount of banana, a taste of cooked pear
Snack: half a packet of organix cheese and herb bites, half a rusk (i ate the other half of both :haha: )
Tea: Broccoli in cheese sauce, a yoghurt (ate all of both)

Shiv you are a star!!! Thank you :hugs: It would be brillaint if i could have the whole recipe  Only if you have time though! Thanks again x

:flower:

L - quarter of a banana (out and about)
D - pasta tubes in pesto sauce (ate about 5!) half a pineapple ring.
