BLW - what did your LO eat today?

Today Adam had...

b: Fruit & Fibre flakes & milk, a banana, a few raisins (rejected the 1 mini Weetabix I offered)
l: drop scone with pb, 1/2 drop scone with pumpkin seed butter, 1/2 a slice of toast with Philadelphia and Marmite, chewed and sucked on a couple of orange segments, 5 prunes
d: 1/4 of a mini quiche , 2 slices of buttered malt loaf, blueberries
s: a Humzinger, a spelt breadstick, yogurt

B: half a bowl of shreddies, quarter of a slice of toast. Refused BF
L: (In Carluccios) Bruschetta - ate over half my bread and about a third of the roast pepper and tomato topping; Small piece of chicken.
S: Humzinger, half a jaffa cake (very bad mummy)
D: Half a tin low salt/sugar baked beans, grated cheese, half a slice of toast, bowl of greek yogurt, few raisins, Wanted to eat the beans with his spoon but towards the end he couldn't scoop them so he picked each bean up and loaded them on to the spoon that way
S: 2/3rds of an organix ginger bread man
Bedtime: only took 1 side BF then refused the other

If it makes you feel any better Mary Jo, I made mini quiches on Sunday and Ruby picked off all the pastry and ate it, leaving all of the filling. I wouldn't mind but my pastry was terrible and the filling was nice! AND my drop scones are usually ignored!

Today Ruby was a piggy!

B - Shreddies and raisins
L - 5 mini breadsticks, 2 mini blueberry muffins, Plum fromage frais, chopped papaya
D - According to my mum she had one small homemade burger, mashed potato cake, 3 stems of tendersteam broccoli. She finished that then said 'yoghurt!' So my mum gave her a little Yeo yogurt, then some raisins, but she was still hungry so she had half a tin of mandarins!

B: Ready brek
L: More tuscan bean soup with bread, half a yoghurt, half a banana
S: Smoothie and a few organix herb crisp sticks
D: Lasagne (refused anything else but gorbed quite a lot of lasagne!)

FUnny on the quiche thing - Lizzie tends to leave the pastry and eat the filling! Only she's now discovered blowing pastry crumbs at all and sundry is far more fun!!

Today my baby girl ate:

B: Toast, butter, plum spread and porridge with pear
S: Smoothie stick and Organix carrot puffs
L: Quiche with courgettes, broccoli and cauliflower cheese, yoghurt, egg custard Left with a lot of pastry crumbs everywhere...!
S: Spelt biscuit and finished egg custard from lunch.
D: Cod in a chive and butter sauce, new potatoes, roasted sweet potato and courgette, banana and cin. pancake. Was a bit full by the time it came to pancake, so left quite a bit...

 Today's quiche rejection was all my own fault, really, so I don't feel as bad as I might about it - I've been giving him his dinner earlier, when he seems to be more hungry (before his late afternoon nap) but today I didn't have the quiches done till after, so offered him one then, along with some other snack type bits while we were eating dinner, and nope. I have plenty left, though, so he gets a second chance tomorrow lunchtime. THEN I will feel peeved if they get ignored - because they really are so nice (as they ought to be, since they're full of cream and cheese :D )

Question for everyone - how far does your own day's eating match with your LO's? I usually have at least some of what I offer Adam, with the exception of his snacks (I haven't ever eaten a whole Humzinger and I actively dislike his Plum biscuits and breadsticks, though rice cakes are ok).

I eat the same as Ruby on my home days and weekends, but when I work she has a different dinner earlier than us, with my mum or the childminder, and we eat when she's in bed.

I don't eat Ruby's fruit as we don't like the same fruit though, and also I don't eat the toddler biscuits (cardboard springs to mind) although plum oat rounds are passable, the orange and ginger ones

I thought I should maybe start posting in here now! And I'll be stealing some of these idea's
Read through the last few pages and im SOOOOOO relieved that there are other babies who don't like fresh fruit or arnt big fans of it lol Atm Matthew will eat banana and tinned manderins and that's it and sometimes he'll tolerate a slice of orange! And he's going through a all the food on the floor stage!

Today Matthew had -

B - Small bowl of cheerio's, A slice of toast, a banana (all on the floor bar the crusts of the toast which he ate)
S - 2 organix rice cakes and a few tinned manderins
L - Cheese and Salmon (sp?) Omelette (something he really loves for some strange reason he likes it almost burnt as well lol but today all on the floor bar a bit off egg which he ate)
D - A fish Finger, homemade potato wedges and pea's (all on the floor bar a potato wedge which he ate) and he ate nearly my whole muller light yoghurt with my metal spoon

Bun has a bit of a cold right now, so has been sleeping so much!!
I feel like I haven't spent any time with him LOL - just eat and by the time we've cleaned up, he is tired and back to bed

B: oatmeal, rice milk, apple butter
S: 2 sweet potato pancakes
D: quinoa pasta Os, veggie sauce, 2 chicken broccoli meatballs, 1/2 slice of brown rice toast with apple butter

No real lunch today because he was tired, but a couple extra breastfeeds today to make up for it!
Oh - and I forgot to mention, Bun is finally taking little sips of water!!! Woo hoo! We've been trying to get him to drink water for months :happydance:

G generally gets offered Exactly the same as us for meals; TBH this is one of BLWs main benefits (well 2 - 1 I only prepare 1 meal b& 2 our meals are healthy :) ) Greek yogurt I have normal & low fat tubs.

I try not to share his snacks but often end up doing so :dohh: this is less of an issue now he eats his bananas :)

Lizzie and I have our meals at the same time - except dinner. We all eat together at the weekend.

We tweak some of the combinations - for example, I'd have salad with quiche, but Lizzie prefers veggies. As for the biccies, similarly to Claire, I like the Plum rounds...other than that, I'll eat something that looks the same! More and more now, she wants whatever I've got (even my cheese oat cakes which she previously loathed...), so pretty soon we'll be on the same menu sheet!

well today we have had a strange day :) last night she woke up at 1am for a bottle and was coughing a lot so gave her some cough syrup which she had and started giving her bottle (done it this way before no problem) next moment she was very sick all over the place. So if the following sounds odd its because shes not been well..

4oz bottle at 5am and 8oz bottle of hungry milk at 8am

11.30 lunch was 1/2 a small jar of apple and pear mixed with a spoonful of unmade fruity porridge and made up with some warm water she polished off the lot with

Snacks - she had another 8oz of hungry milk and 2oz of water through the day and 3 carrot puffs

5.15 Dinner she had 1/2 a jar of carrot and potato and 2 spoonfuls from the jar of apple and pear and she ate about 2/3 of the bowl and had some more cough syrup and about 4oz of a bottle of normal milk.

Will probably be up 2 more times before tomorrow so she has the other 4oz of the bottle of normal milk and a 8oz bottle of hungry milk ready.

Adam has had:

b: fruit & fibre flakes & milk, a banana (didn't eat much)
l: 1/2 a slice of bread with peanut butter, a home-made mini cheese & onion quiche :happydance:, 1/2 a home-made cheese & Marmite pastry pinwheel, loads of blueberries
d: 1.5 fish fingers, 2 pineapple rings, a tiny bit of malt loaf, more blueberries
s: a few grapes, a Humzinger

Last day of freedom before MOnday *sob* and thankfully, we had a lovely day together :D

B: Ready brek (only a couple of PL spoons), rice cakes with dairylea
L: Left over lasagne, half a yoghurt, quarter of a tomato
S: 1 sweet potato pancake, few apple slices
D: Mushroom, leek & prawn quiche, home-made oven potato chips, smoothie

C really won't take a pre-loaded spoon of yoghurt anymore so today I bought frubes - not entirely happy with this being the only brand of yoghurt in a tube but I thought I'd at least try it and see.

Also, I make these oven potato chip things and always worry that they're not healthy for him! Although I'm sure they are - I just want to make sure.

I cut potatoes into chip shapes, blanch them for 5 minutes, then add in a tablespoon of olive oil and some herbs, shake in the collander and throw onto a baking tray for half an hour. They're always the perfect consistency for him, but I think the 'chip' name always makes me worried :)

Jenny82.....Yeo Valley do their "Little Yeo's" yoghurt in a tube version. Elliott loves them

Oh cool! I must keep an eye out on my next big shop - thanks!

Have been stealing ideas off here for a while so thought I should start posting!

Today my little boy had:

Breakfast - boiled egg and soldiers. About 6 blueberries but not that impressed with them.

Lunch - We ate out and struggled to give him anything off our plates so he had the reserve packed lunch of couple of rice cakes, Philedelphia, Slice of banana bread, handful of grapes. He also had a couple of my chips with the outside taken off.

Dinner - LOADS of chicken risotto (with red pepper, mushroom and peas) and brocolli.

Jenny I do chips and wedges pretty much exactly the same as you, Ruby absolutely LOVES them.
Ruby had:

B - Oat crisp and raisins
L - Tiny bit of baguette with cheese, small piece of carrot cake, natural yoghurt
Snack - 3 mini breadsticks, raisins, little cup of milk
D - 3 small-ish slices of homemade pizza with ham, lots of pear

Ohhh thats so good Claire - really puts my mind at ease! I do the same with carrots and parsnips too, only with a less cooking time. He loves them!

Today:

B: Cheerios and a little bit of toasted soda (finally not ready brek!!!! I think the trick was no milk)
L: Leftover prawn, mushroom & leek quiche, orange slices and a frube (loved despite my reservations)
D: Low salt, low sugar beans and fish fingers, & smoothie (a really 'weekend' menu but I was having my parents over for dinner and was fussing over their dinner. He is having their leftovers for lunch tomorrow!)

We do our that way too - except for the blanching part - I just cook them straight in the oven. Blanching would probably make them even better! Also - I think of them as very healthy since I use just a little olive oil (good fat) and herbs/spices! Sooooo delicious!! xx

Also I see you got LO to eat something other than ready brek!!! Yay! I have been trying to get Bun to eat something other than oatmeal (every morning for months now!!!) just for some variety. Did you just offer cheerios plain?
