BLW - what did your LO eat today?

Yesterday-

B- toast, pear
L- Ham sandwich, tomato
D- Prawn linginue, tomato and chorizo bruscetta (and he loved it!!)


Today-
B- 2 Pancakes, apple
L- potato cakes, ham and scrambled eggs
D- beef stew and dumplings
 
Wow JoeyJo, George is so good using his spoon like that. Sophia is nowhere near doing that yet. She will dip a spoon in yoghurt but that is it!

He just seems to be getting better & better at cutlery the last week or 2 - he often has a fork too :)

He's always been keen to use cutlery, preloaded spoons etc. A few times n the past I have loaded his spoon with beans/rice etc & after he's spilt it he has picked up each individual piece with a pincer grip to put them back on the spoon before eating them :rofl: first time he did that he was only about 9 months!
 
ha, I swear, my cottage pie was already prepared when I saw your pics on FB :D been ages since I bothered, he went off it a while ago and I thought that since he has started to allow a bowl to sit in front of him without it immediately being tipped over, and he will entertain pasta on a fork (me loading it) and he'll dabble with a spoon in yogurt, that maybe *maybe* he'd try cottage pie... :cry:

nope!

but anyway, today:

b: LOADS of mini cranberry wheats & milk (gobbled his first 24 down so I offered more and he ate about another 8), a bite of a yucky over-ripe banana, raisins
l: a few bits of penne with tuna, creme fraiche & cheese, more raisins, about 6 cherry tomatoes
s: an Organix chewy oaty bar thing, a spelt breadstick
d: most of a peanut butter sandwich, a piece of buttered malt loaf, a bite of a plum, another 6 cherry tomatoes, plain yogurt, a segment of satsuma, raisins. utterly rejected cottage pie, didn't even pick up the spoon, just pushed the bowl away in really distressed, howling tears. :cry: only stopped crying when I made him a sandwich. even after he wasn't hungry he wouldn't look at the cottage pie (he'd just woken up right before dinner time so I thought maybe he was upset because he was hungry and wanted something easy to eat)

grrrrrrrr. am going to stop making cottage pie with meat. I only do it for Adam as we prefer Quorn (I have been eating beef mince for months now and I am sick of it!).
 
Yesterday:
B: shreddies
L: sweet potato, spinach and cheese finger shape things i made :haha:
D:chicken chowmein
 
Yesterday Bun had:

B: oatmeal, 1/2 stewed apple, dates
L: squash soup, rice cake
D: 4 avocado sushi pieces, 2 chicken/kale/sweet potato meatballs, veggie sauce

I made the sushi rolls myself (first time) and they worked out so well! Not perfect looking, but the taste was really good and Bun just gobbled them up. It was so great - I made extra today for after swimming and it was great. He loves them and they are so easy (not too messy) for him to eat! Here's a pic!

S - small pack of rasins
L - 1/2 tuna mayo & cucumber bun
D - homemade beef burger with cheddar cheese on wholemeal bun & cherry tomatoes & cucumber

Yesterday, Lizzie had:

B: porridge with plum compote, shreddies
Sn: Rachel's Organic yoghurt
L: Cheese sandwich, half a scone with fruit only spread and bit of cream
D: Gnocchi with roasted vegetables, tomato and mascarpone sauce, grated cheese, fromage frais and banana
 
ive had sucess with the banana, lol its cheating a bit but i use the feeding/weaning net thing else the banana gets to slippy so he cant handle it lol its now a staple part of his diet lol

so today

weetbix with yougurt on a preloaded spoon for breakfast
banana and rice cake for lunch
and dinner will be spag bol on fussili pasta

yesterday was
poridge with yougurt
eggy bread
spag bol
 
Today logan has had

B- potato cakes + crepe
L- hash brown, chicken ,tomato, cucumber, cake (bad mummy)
D- sushi (sun i copied your idea :D ) he had tuna mayo + cucumber sushi,smoked salmon sushi, prawn + cucumber sushi and haddock sushi (all cooked) he absolutly loved it!!

L: slice of toast with dairylea, half a boiled egg, tablespoon grated cheese, half a slice of ham, slice of tomato
S: humzinger
D: roast beef (would only eat the rare bits from the middle if the slices), roast potato, brocolli & a teeny bit of carrot. Rice pudding with tinned raspberries (in apple juice) & raisins
 
Today...

B: French toast with agave and cinnamon banana - greek yoghurt with fruit compote
L: Cheese toastie, half a scone with smushed raspberries, stolen piece of Green & Blacks
Sn: half a spinach and cheese muffin (although some was confetti on the floor!)
D: Roast chicken, red cabbage, one roast potato, roast carrots, courgettes, parsnip. Apple crumble with fromage frais
 
B shreddies, half a slice of toast with cranberry spread
L in the pub - half a scotch egg (homemade), crispbread & pate, chips (bad mummy!), tomato, small bit of burger, raisins, humzinger
D roast potatoes, baked beans, grated cheese
S few organix cheese biscuits.

L baked potato, dairylea triangle, half a chicken breast - ignored red pepper & tomatoes

D few cubes left over roast potato, tiny bit left over roast beef, quarter slce of bread with Philadelphia, ignored rocket & green pepper. Rhubarb yogurt, banana, mandarin oranges

Today Bun had:

B: oatmeal, 1/2 apple, dates
L: 1 slice brown rice toast with hummus, 1 piece of spicy vegan black bean loaf
D: chicken kale sweet potato burgers, veggie sauce on quinoa
 
up 5am hungry so had 8oz bottle
Breakfast :- Heinz breakfast cereal and a Rachel's taste explorer yogurt with 2oz water
8oz bottle before nap
Lunch :- Jar of egg custard
Snack - chocolate biscotti - OMG the mess!! with 2oz water
Dinner :- 1/2 a ready meal (little dish - chicken & Butternut squash pie) put through large holes on wean machine and 1/2 a pot of tropical fruit puree mixed with porridge
will be having a 8oz bottle before bed time in 25 min :)

snack: organix carrot puffs.

lunch- carrot stick, ham and cheese wrap, cucumber and a cookie

L: egg mayo roll, chunk of cucumber, avocado, cheese chunks
snack: organix oaty bar
D: 3 fishfingers, mashed potato, brocolli and baked beans
 
Hungry boy today!

B - shreddies 2 helpings
L - 2 scrambled eggs with herbs & grated mature cheddar mixed in. Half a slice buttered toast. Banana
D - 2 tablespoons mash, chicken, green beans cooked in tomato, onion, garlic & cumin, rice pud, raisins
S - organix gingerbread man
