BLW - what did your LO eat today?

I had Kaylum overnight on Saturday and then all day yesterday (tho' Tattie was here all day yesterday too) and I was amazed by how well he's come on! :happydance:

So I thought I'd share my proud Nonna moment

D (Saturday) spag bol and a fromage frais
B (Sun) Porridge and grapes
L (Sun) Slice of 'Pizza toast' (cheese on toast with tomato puree) and a scrambled egg
D (Sun) Roast chicken, a new potato, small roast potato, peas, cabbage, several carrot sticks, sweetcorn and half a yorkshire pudding ... I also tried broccoli again (he still hates it LOL)

He looked like a little Buddha by bath time :haha:

Couple of questions... can they have tinned tuna?? And hot cross buns??

yes to both, although hot cross buns usually contain a lot of sugar so might not be the best choice for LO's palate.

Hadn't even thought about the sugar content! Was thinking there may be nuts so thank you. I eat so many sweet things I just don't notice- why I want sadie having a healthy diet unlike her mummy lol! Since we've been using blw my eating has gotten healthier though!

I hadn't thought of nuts actually, although I think most hot cross buns don't have nuts in (unless they're a special kind I suppose?). A piece of hot cross bun wouldn't do your LO any harm I don't think. I've given my LO bits of muffin or pastry every now and again and it hasn't ruined his palate yet :)

Today LO had:

B: huge bowl of shreddies, fromage frais
L: leftover roast veg, small piece of toast with philly, half a fruit stick, half a mozzarella stick
Sn: whole fruit stick, wholewheat cracker
S: Quorn nuggets, penne with veg sauce (mushrooms, peppers, tomato, garlic, herbs)

Today sadie has had
B porridge with mashed banana and a plum.
L a slice of bread and dairylea, some ham and a handful of organix cheese puffs. Wolfed it down so had a half slice of bread and dairylea and some more cheese puffs.
D risotto with chicken peppers and courgettes, some broccoli and a fromage frais. She was still hungry so gave her another plum (she loves them at the mo).
It was her first day of lunch and she's dropped a bottle already. Maybe because she ate so much at lunch piggy wig!

Watch the amount of tinned tuna due to mercury levels!! But sure they can have the hot cross buns - just they are quite sweet. As for nuts, Bun eats nuts (tons of nuts actually) with no problems. We were going to wait a year for peanuts, but then I realized (after 5 months :dohh:) that I cook everything in peanut oil - so peanuts ended up being of the first things he ate!!! :haha:

Adam has had:

b: big bowl of mini raisin wheats with milk, a little bit of pear, dried cranberries
l: a cheese, cucumber and almond butter sandwich, a couple of prunes, a Humzinger
s: two or three more prunes
d: cheese & onion quiche, baked beans, green beans, cucumber, broccoli, cherry tomatoes, fromage frais

Evening ladies :)

Today Evie had

B: toast and butter and most of a banana
L: handfull of mini blueberry rice cakes, hard boiled egg and organix cheese puffs
D: sweet potato, broccoli and steak but hardly ate any if it

New food of the day was papaya but she wasnt too keen although I thought it was quite nice

Re; hot crossed buns..... I cut one in half and toasted it with butter but only gave evie the bottom part of it. Didn't really want her to have the top part as it's glazed and quite sugary ;)

Oh Ruby looooves hot cross buns! Yeah they are sweet but not the end of the world. I make my own from time to time and they only have like 50g sugar per 12 large buns which is not a lot at all.

Y'day madam had:

Breakfast - big bowl of rice krispies and oat crisp with raisins
Lunch - Slice of toast with fruit spread, small tin of pears, 2 dried apricots
Snack - Humzinger
Dinner - huge bowl of mini fussili pasta and tomato sauce with grated cheese. Rachel's mango yog

Yesterday my LO had
breakfast 1 Slice of toast and a small banana
lunch cheese sticks, cucumber, cherry tomatos, sweetcorn rings
dinner garlic chicken vegies homemade chips
he loves cucumber ATM so was snacking on that too

Yesterday Bun had:

B: small bowl of oatmeal, few slices of apple and almond butter, chunk of banana
S: bowl of cheerios with almond milk, raisins
L: yellow split pea soup with toast, 2 slices of apple, a few grapes
D: falafel ball, hummus on toast, dried pear, little maple cookie

Bun is finally eating fruit straight up!!! I have had to hide it in his oatmeal since he started eating as he wouldn't touch the stuff. Then he started eating some dried fruit (pears) and now he is eating raw apple, pear and grapes!!! :happydance:

yesterday Lo wasnt that interested in eating

b: nothing
l: toast with cream cheese and tried some lettuce and spat it out
d: nothing

Lunch - Scrambled egg and toast fingers (only played with it today though) followed by apple and pear puree (pre-loaded spoon)
Snack - cheese and breadstick.

First day worth mentioning in a few weeks, Sophia actaully ate something at all 3 meals of the day!

b: few mini shredded wheat, a banana, half a pear and a quater slice of toast with marmite

L: Quater of a tuna and cheese quessidilla, some cucumber sticks, some grapes.

S: box of rasins, half a large home made cheese and spinach muffin (which I found in the depths of the freezer, she loved it!)

D: breaded chicken (about half a breast), large serving spoon of mashed potato, carrots and brocolli!

Hurrah!

I have also discovered my tip of the day - freeze breadcrumbs! Whenever a recipe calls for them my bread is too fresh to crumb. but I read that youcan freeze it. So whenever I haev a bitof stale bread i crumb it and stick it in a freezer bag in the freezer. It can then be used straight out of the frezer to coat chicken or fish, or on top of pasta bake!

Ruby had...

B - large bowl of shreddies and raisins
L - Toast with scrambled egg, halfway through she asked for jam, she mixed it up with the eggs, hmmm nice. 2 dried apricots, organix gingerbread man
D - Homemade mini pizza with mushroom, 2 humzingers and a rachels yoghurt.

B- oatmeal with pumpkin and some protein powder
L- pasta salad with salmon
D- ?? not sure, it's only 10am here lol

B- pear and some raisins
L- Ravioli (not impressed, she kept spitting it out then slapping it on her tray )
D- chicken, peas, cheese and onion bake with more pear for pudding

No new food today

B - Raspberry yogurt
L - Applesauce, potato soup
D - Pot roast with carrots and potato, buttermilk biscuit
