Body rebelling against all 'good for me' foods

Good, glad it's not just me. I ate crap constantly from 6-10 weeks. Put on a load of weight quickly which has really shocked me as have always been a constant slim size (but I'm blaming this on heavier boobs ;) ).

Everything got a lot better now. If anything, I'm back to craving healthier foods and the thought of stodge quite off-putting - SO IT DOES GET BETTER! :yipee:

Don't worry about weight gain, if you BF it'll come off in no time.

I feel tons better too. It seemed to me that everyone else was managing a semi normal diet. I can't eat veggies either and have just now at week ten started to sometimes go for wheat bread instead of white again. I just want pizza, spaghetti and tacos!

And strawberry icecream :)

This thread makes me feel better too! I'm a vegetarian and usually love vegetables and salad, but I can't face any raw veggies now! It was awkward as I got a cold veggie wrap at a restaurant recently, and I couldn't bring myself to eat it. Ended up eating cheese and crackers back at home. I'm mainly craving sweet and salty--ice cream (no pickles though--ugh), chips, nuts, etc. At least I don't mind fruit. My day starts well with cereal then generally goes downhill from there. Today my "lunch" was an apple danish

My DH keeps saying all the books he's reading say it's important to eat my vegetables. I'm like, my books say that if something turns me off, I shouldn't eat it!

Thats true:thumbup:

I'm breastfeeding still now, and have awful morning sickness so sticking to the cravings, cheetos are good lol as are doughnuts:thumbup:

At lunch though I had the biggest craving for an onion:wacko: I chopped the thing up, covered it it in some sweet n sour sauce and microwaved it, was good:haha:

Ahhh doughnuts.....last weekend I found a stall in town which makes fresh doughnuts which you can have with normal sugar or cinnamon sugar. I'd never discovered the delights of a fresh, deep fried doughnut before but I can see it becoming a regular weekend habit now. YUM!!!

Hot doughnuts are the best!!
We live right next to a krispy kreme:thumbup:

sounds to me like we're all needing the sugar!! As far as i have read its ok to eat what you can keep down, if french fries is all you can keep down then have it- its better than nothing! i am sure in our 2nd tri we will be back to the healthy foods :)

Just maybe every few days try different healthy foods- i am made for oranges at the moment & have been really good with my eating till this week- felt sick yesterday & today. Lunch was burger king (hungry jacks here in Australia) then dinner was donuts.....

sugar cheers to you all :D

Ugh not me, all this talk of sugary foods is making me feel ill! We've got boxes of chocs and stuff and I'm not interested. Salty fatty savoury goodness is what I want. And grapefruit juice. Tonnes of grapefruit juice.

This morning I got up and NEEDED a mc Donald sausage and egg muffin so guess where I'm off to....... xx

Yum, think I'm doing to have to make a trip to the drive-through too. This is the most excited I've been about food in a while!

Tucking into my sausage and egg mcmuffin - my god it's amazing. I could eat three of these!

I have been the same way---comfort foods are about all I want as well. I have also only eating a couple of complete meals in the past several weeks...both times when we went out to a restaurant. I can't cook anything without feeling sick, but even if DH cooks, I can't eat more than a few bites. I felt better when the doctor told me that until the first tri is over, it's ok if some days I can survive on only pretzels and water. She said I will have plenty of time to make up for it when the MS goes away in the 2nd tri, when the dieting is most important.

I feel exactly the same. been a strict vegetarian for over 8 years and used to love all my veggies and fruits etc...now cant stand it! i want burgers and pizza and chips! which i never ever eat! I just crave high fat, salty foods...mmm, even considering eating meat again!

Urgh, just went out to get some lunch (I am seriously running out of food options - when I eat something I fancy, I then don't want it anymore, so my list of foods that don't make me feel  is decreasing very quickly).

I bought myself an apple turnover (at least it contains fruit ), and got hubby some grapes as well. I ate a handful of grapes (which were yummy as I ate them) as well as my apple turnover.

Just sat at my desk drinking my (decaf) tea, and I thought 'uh oh...' Went to the loo and was sick. I retched so violently that my head hurt and I think I burst a blood vessel just under my eye (had an op there a few years ago so skin is stretched quite tight, which is why I can see the little red thread vein there now) :dohh:

That's the first time I've actually been sick, although I've come close and felt really sick in the past week.

So the moral of the story is - if your body doesn't want fruit and veg, don't eat fruit and veg because it will literally come back to haunt you!!

Maybe I'll have McDonalds for tea... :haha::haha:

Oh my goodness. This morning, I guess I didn't eat breakfast early enough before leaving to go to work and ended up with my first spout of MS. I was already feeling queasy, but as soon as I used mouth rinse solution, I knew I was going to barf. I had chocolate biscuit cookies for breakfast.

For lunch, I had the most delicious cheeseburgers from Burger King. They settled my stomach immediately. Oh, they were heavenly.

Oh this thread makes me feel soooo much better! I have been feeling so guilty about the rubbish I have been eating - all I can manage to eat is crisps, chips and takeaways at the moment It's an achievement to manage the odd piece of fruit!

Thanks all!
