Not sure where to go next.

We started on TT CTN but LO had lots of wind and would cry all evening. After lots of online reading and reviews we tried MAM anti colic bottles. They've helped with the wind but the milk comes out so fast she's gagging and being sick and then crying after the first 60ml (she has 120ml but we stop half way to burp her).

She's also crying and uncomfortable when trying to poo. I don't know if that is part of the wind issue or if it could be the formula? She's on cow & gate.

I can go and get dr browns to try which were the other anti colic bottles we were looking at. I don't want to bother though if the bottles aren't the problem.

I haven't tried MAM bottles but I use Dr Brown's bottle and I LOVE them (so does DD). It made a huge difference, and if I used a different bottle to feed her she would just cry.

I had the same issues and the Dr Brown's bottles helped but didn't take it away so switched to comfort milk. He's a lot better!

Did you just try the comfort milk or did you speak to a hv or gp first?

I spoke to the hv she told me not to but I was desperate because he woke up screaming drawing his legs up all the time and only having a poo nappy every 5 days! I got sick of her telling me to "just wait it out its normal" so tried it. He's so much better on it ... burps easily, doesn't strain to poo, dirty nappy every day and most nights sleeps a bit better

Look into silent reflux too any fussing during feeds? Pulling away from the teat and crying? Wind comes hand in hand with it. Daft as it sounds babies need to learn to push out poo and wind and their pelvic floor muscles are underdeveloped so they need to learn to use them, this can make them sound constipated but the contents of the nappy are past like or loose x

She does pull away and cry, especially evening and night ones. Dd1 had reflux but I seem to have forgotten so much from her already!

Her poo is still soft like it should be so perhaps it is just a learning thing. Thank you.

Sounds like silent reflux quite possibly Hun yeah xx
