I just signed up for Bradley Method classes.

Anyone else taking them?

I was on the fence about it. But I decided to go for it, and I'll just take what I find useful for me personally.

Kind of, due to my husbands schedule I am just reading the books. I'll use the info I find useful this way.

We started our classes this week. I think it's going to be a wonderful bonding and learning experience for my husband and I. He's also fully supportive of me going for the natural birth unless of course she is breech or something emergent comes up.

I'm looking forward to it. I explained to the instructor that my husband may not make every class and she was understanding.

He's supportive of natural too (basically just because he knows it's what I want). I'm looking forward to being able to feel prepared to deal with the medical staff if they suggest an intervention that I don't feel is necessary. That's my main goal, to feel like I know the right questions to ask and arguments to make to see if it's actually necessary.

I think reading the books is great too. I got lucky, the ONLY class for a LONG ways around here is only about 20 minutes from me, and they had a class that was supposed to have already been started, but got rescheduled to start next week instead of the end of Dec. (I would have missed it otherwise)

I'm looking forward to meeting other women who are pregnant too. (I bet at least some of them are first time moms). I think that'll be nice for me.

I took it when I was pregnant with my son

That's awesome Lues! Unfortunately the only one around me is an hour and a half away, so I don't think I'll get to make any lasting friendships, but it sure is fun going to a class dedicated to our baby <3. I really hope we both get to be among the 80% who get to deliver without interventions!
