I like the whole breast should be seen as normal too. I think that's mainly what pee's me off in todays society especially with *SOME* young/teen mummies or those in lower classes. I dunno why but a lot seem to automatically go buy bottles and formula when preg instead of buying a breastpump and nursing bras. It should be the other way round really.

It is just as common for that to happen in the upper classes!
I know of plenty of posh rich mums who never intended to BF.

 not in my experience really but ok.

Toria aidan looooves peas and porriage. Not at the same time though lol
xx

My mum never fed me chicken nuggets....she is SO healthy...I rebelled........Looove em lol

obviously there is the convenience thing with formula (no one jump down my throat on that comment lol) x

Not jumping down your throat babe but how is formula more convenient?!! You have to prepare bottles with formula but with breast feeding all you have to do is get out a boob!!

xx

I admit it might be better for a baby to be bf, but I dont feel comfy to get out my boob to feed my baby. I found all the excuses not to BF, and had to leave the hospital one day earlier because of that. I tried to express but didnt get enough milk.

But again, I dont need an article to convince me that I took the right decision, as I knw I chose to FF because I wanted to.

My aunt BF her LO, and sometimes feeds mine. He really loves it.. but that didnt make me regret my dcision not BF

oo that's lovely that your aunt feeds your LO! I've never spoken to anyone who has had experience of that :cloud9:

Mine either.... Infact there's this posh soft play area in Harpenden where I've only seen a handful of FF babies.... Yes I do take note

I think the whole point of splitting the forum into breastfeeding and formula feeding was to avoid people feeling the need to defend themselves.

Maybe lay this to rest?

Im probably kind of half chicken nugget mum as far as cbeebies goes and palming my child off to nursery but he eats well there and at home :) No chicken nuggets!

lol! half a chicken nugget mum. all things are ok if the are used in moderation. tv is limited in our house mostly cause the background noise does my head in and secondly because im anti advertising i dont think children should be exposed to any level of advertising until they can understand how basic marketing works. bbc kids thing is ok as it has no adverts lol i record waybalooooooooo for faith but thats it

I also think breastfeeding should be normal and formula feeding should be the exception. I agree that far too many people stock up on bottles and formula without even attempting to BF. Hopefully one day BF will be the norm. :)

There's nothing wrong with Cbeebies aslong as it isn't your babysitters name
