I do (raises hand)

I do lasganga

thats isnt a chicken nugget mum is it lol
xx

I've done both and have to admit one was as easy as the other in there own ways bf was easy as no prep and bottle now easy as baby can go longer between feeds.
Also with bf I will get my titties out where I damn well want nobody ever said anything to me I would have loved them to cause they would have crapped themselves with the tongue lashing they would have got same if they say anything about ff.

I like the whole breast should be seen as normal too. I think that's mainly what pee's me off in todays society especially with *SOME* young/teen mummies or those in lower classes. I dunno why but a lot seem to automatically go buy bottles and formula when preg instead of buying a breastpump and nursing bras. It should be the other way round really.

lol now i feel bad for making chicken nuggets seem evil. i mean the mums that stick their kids in front of the telly. injecting them with hours of telly and feeding them junk food keeping them nice dumbed down and passive x

i personally think that either can be best there are so many different circumstances but i do think that some of the bf mums do need to think more about how much they push their info on ff mums because articles like this do make many ff mums feel a little bit better as i think a lot of ff mums do feel guilty about not breastfeeding for many reasons like not being able to,giving up too soon(because of how hard it is in the beginning and later regretting it or even being so shy they felt they couldnt feed in public and a lot of us ff mums do feel we have to justify why we are ff if you all get what i mean lol and i think we would all openly say that we know breast is best but its nice to know that there may be some plus points to formula. (obviously this isnt describing all ff or bf mums)

All us breast feeding mummies have booby bounced our way over to the formula feeding section to defend ourselves! oops

Where is the OP? Were we right in this just being posted for an argument! (NOT accusing anything so sorry OP if you are just offline or something!)

xx

Ugh I know parents like that. One told me she thought her son barely ate cause she could only get him to eat 5-6 chicken nuggets at a time and he's finally having 10-12. And he ate an entire pizza minus 2 slices on his own the other day. He's 3. YIKES!!!! My almost 7yr old doesn't even eat the 5-6 nuggets and I think he eats great haha

Nope her status is showing online

I've done both formula and breastfeeding, I think both have their pros and cons as far as actually doing it. I do feel that health wise and nutrition wise the breastmilk is best, that doesn't mean formula is bad by any means. But I think not having to deal with bottles, makes breastfeeding more convenient. But then being able to have other people help with feedings makes formula easier or more convenient in that sense. Maybe I'm selfish I liked having all the feedings to myself to hold and cuddle them and have that time to myself with my 2 that I nursed haha. Good thing daddy didn't mind and bonded and spent plenty of time with them in other ways :) Like I said earlier, no one should feel guilty for choosing what's best for their family at that time.

Totally agree.......Everyone comes from a different place with different values, priorities, levels of help etc...it is such a personal decision. I too have done both. I love BF however have just got over mastitas for the 3rd time ......and TBH if Billy would have taken a bottle (he refused :dohh:) I would have changed to FF days of sitting on the sofa crying in pain is not good for me or baby boo.
Anyhoo...I am assuming the OP wanted opinions on the article?? which though interesting seemed a little wooly (is that a word lol) none of the 50 other studies researched were quoted so could have been rubbish, it seems a little weak in my very humble opinion.

It is just as common for that to happen in the upper classes!
I know of plenty of posh rich mums who never intended to BF.

I completely agree

even though i wanted to BF as soon as i got my BFP i still found the constant "are you breast feeding?" from every MW i saw very annoying and in no way did it make me want to BF more though.

There is enough information out there now and in a few years breast feeding will hopefully be the first option but it seems atm its being forced on people which i dont agree with at all

do you feed her PEASE porridge toria? Ho ho.

I dont think we should be bad mouthing the op like that. She may just have forgotten to check the thread :-) (i for one do this often!!)

I think the whole point of splitting the forum into breastfeeding and formula feeding was to avoid people feeling the need to defend themselves.

Maybe lay this to rest?

Im probably kind of half chicken nugget mum as far as cbeebies goes and palming my child off to nursery but he eats well there and at home :) No chicken nuggets!

obviously there is the convenience thing with formula (no one jump down my throat on that comment lol) x

Not jumping down your throat babe but how is formula more convenient?!! You have to prepare bottles with formula but with breast feeding all you have to do is get out a boob!!

xx

I admit it might be better for a baby to be bf, but I dont feel comfy to get out my boob to feed my baby. I found all the excuses not to BF, and had to leave the hospital one day earlier because of that. I tried to express but didnt get enough milk.

But again, I dont need an article to convince me that I took the right decision, as I knw I chose to FF because I wanted to.

My aunt BF her LO, and sometimes feeds mine. He really loves it.. but that didnt make me regret my dcision not BF
