So I'm going to be breastfeeding my LO and definitely need some sort of birth control.

*Can I take any hormonal kinds or do I just have to deal with condoms?

*What kind of hormonal kinds (pill, patch, etc.) can I take, if any?

Mini pill, merina coil, implanon are all compatible with BFing. We are using condoms. :)

you can take birth control pills while breastfeeding but you should be aware that they can reduce your milk supply!!!

I was only allowed the mini pill. I hated it too, if I took it a little late in the day I'd get breakthrough bleeding.

IM on the mini pill and that combined with my BF means i havent had a proper period in 20 odd months :D

I have just started on the mini-pill and there is a 12 hour window to take it not like some of the others which has a 4hr window which aBurtonBaby said can be a pain if its taken late
The Dr told me the implant is not reccomended if you want to start trying within 3-4 years it is active for 3 then can take a while to get out of your system so that was a big no for me :)

Mini pill i was on and now just condoms as i hated it :(
