I'm just wondering, those of you who are breastfeeding and weaning how do you make up cereal & rice? Do you express some milk, make up a bottle of formula, use a carton of formula or just use water??

I have been making up a full bottle and then offering the rest of the bottle after lunch but LO usually refuses it (which is a whole different issue!) so I seem to be tipping a lot of formula down the sink at the mo. Do you all stick to the 2 hour rule with powder formula?

I've been using expressed milk. In the morning before her breakfast I'll pump enough to mix with her cereal for breakfast and lunch. At dinner I'll either pump again for that cereal or just give her other things and no cereal. You could also buy the kind of cereal where you just add water, it already has milk ingredients in it.
