Breech? Can u tell?

Well I did the Doppler and you can hear heartbeat clearest on the right side in line with belly button. Most of my movements are across the middle of my stomach, slightly to the left though. Maybe she's transverse? Would they still do c section for that or only if breech? X

Yes csection for transverse. How far along are you? They will usually attempt a external version (manually turn baby), in the OR way before they will jump I a csection. If try can get baby turned by 38 weeks than this is the best time.

Nats - my baby has been on and off transverse. My doctor said, if necessary, it's much easier to turn a transverse baby than a breech baby so he isn't worried about it - but I am only 31 weeks. Last week baby was head down and, like others said, the hiccups were in my pelvis. The past few days hiccups were closer to my left hip bone so I think he/she is at an angle. When head truly down I get a lot of little punches in my cervix and kicks, butt etc to the right and left of my belly button. I rarely get any movement above my belly button but I am carrying low.

Transverse babies cannot come out naturally, as they'd be coming out shoulder-first and would not fit. Yes, it sounds like your baby is transverse with her head on the right side. This is how my baby was laying about a week ago. I got my transverse baby to turn by placing an ice pack above her head and laying on my right side. The cold caused her to turn her head downward to get away from it. I placed another ice pack under where her bum was on my left side to get her to move that away from the cold, too. Now, she's in a perfect position. Give it a shot if you feel like it, but chances are she will get super uncomfortable and turn! But yes, a transverse baby should be pretty easy to move manually if you need that done.

I'm 36 weeks, I've heard awful stories about manually turning babies!! Scares the life out of me!! Guess i will know for certain on weds when midwife checks me until then is ball bouncing good for positioning?? Xx

Thank you all for your replys they have all been really helpful xx

I wouldn't bounce on a ball until baby is in a good position because it will just pull them into the pelvis sideways if she is transverse. It's just a few days away & won't hurt. If you find baby is [still] transverse at your appointment, check out the exercises at SpinningBabies and get to work then! :)

I was going to recommend spinning babies as well. It's a great resource and I know many women who have had luck with the exercises.

I have no idea, 3rd baby you'd think of know by now lol but giving that both my big boys were head down from very early on I never really thought about it until this pregnancy. I think he's breech, I get movements and hiccups all over the place, I feel like his head is under my ribs at the moment. MW had a hard time trying to figure out if it was bum or head at 32 weeks lol!

I couldn't tell whether he was head down or not. I feel the hiccups all over because his whole body must jerk with them. He was a confirmed transverse for awhile but my midwife told me that he's head down today. He's still in an awkward spot though as he's primarily on the right side and curved around so I get kicks on the left side.

My mw mentioned the same thing another poster said. Heads are wobbly and bums are not.

All I can say, is that when I thought he wasn't head down (either trans or breech) I never had heartburn, no lightning crotch, hiccups were higher and on the sides etc, the days before my 36 week appt my heartburn appeared out of the blue, a new pain in my hips, more crotch pain, and lo and behold - head down!

This, but I got it at 34 weeks or so, visited Dr. The next eek and she confirmed she was head down and 'where she was supposed to be'.

I can obviously feel a head on my right side. Very uncomfortable
