Morning all, well went out for dinner early yesterday evening and after a couple of mouthfuls I was in the full throw of sick land. Got home and spent the rest of the evening and night being sick. managed some sleep and im still vomiting. Head is pounding. So glad ive got help with Noah at the moment.

Awww Maffie, poor you - I hope you feel better ASAP. Is it morning sickness? It's started late hasn't it, if that's what it is. Maybe just a tummy bug? (I don't mean 'just' in a trivial way, cos I know how horrid tummy bugs can be.)

Kaites, you don't sound whingey. But I understand what you mean - you head off into a discussion wanting to sound all grown-up and rational and you end up sounding like you're just having a rant, when that isn't what you intended at all. I do it ALL the time. I am very lucky in that OH does a lot of our childcare - but then I do a lot of the earning-money side of things, so it kind of balances out. Certainly we try hard to do half and half, so when I'm having a bad day I need to remember this. It's good that your parents are near enough that they are happy to spend time with Emma so you can get your 'me time'. And yes, I agree with you completely - getting up before Emma just to get some me time is not a reasonable option when you've already been up half the night.

I agree, Kaites, that all this bad sleep may well be a developmental thing. Whenever Monty is in his cot without his sleeping bag on, he's wriggling all over the place, trying to drag himself along the bars, rolling over (when he's successful, which so far isn't very often!), and turning round so his head and feet swap ends. Well, we are seeing the osteopath this afternoon re his sleeping, so I am hoping and praying and crossing fingers that he will be able to say 'Ah yes, there's some tension right here ... ahhhh, tension released ... now he will sleep all through the night, every night, and wake up at 8am each morning'. LOL, who am I kidding?! :haha: Anyway, I am working this morning and OH is taking Monty to playgroup in a bit. I ought to actually do some work now rather than hanging out all day on BnB!

Morning all,

Should be listing on ebay, need to get motivated lol Why is it if I want to buy something there isn't many and loads of people bid but if I want to sell there are a million similar items and no one bids on it or it goes for like 99p

Struggling to figure out what to get Nij for fathers day :dohh: Well I got some flowers, a card and Chloe got a special outfit, so something nice and simple for Daddy too lol. Anyone got any nice plans / idea's. Gawd, need to get my Dad a card too! Every year I say I am going to be more organised but it just never happens.

Hope everyone has a good day :flower:

PS Maffie: Hope you feeling better today :hugs:

Monty will be buying (or making if I get a moment) card for his daddy. We don't really 'do' mother's or father's day in either of our families.

Morning girls!!

Well we've had a MUCH better night with Autumn. She passed out at 5pm, woke 4 times briefly between 5pm and 9pm because of her teeth, but went back to sleep when she had her dummy back. I popped to the pharmacy to pick up some hylands teething tablets cause I'd run out a couple weeks ago and forget to get some more.
Anyways I get back and pop her 3 of those and she passes out and sleeps right thru with out a peep till 5am!! She woke up, I went in, gave her 3 more, laid her back down with her dummy and she slept for about another hour and then played till 6.45am!! SO much better

If any of you are having teething problems/sleepless nights, I really REALLY encourage you to try Hylands teething tablets. They also do a teething gel. It's totally natural and have worked for Autumn where Calpol and Bonjella failed. I was skeptical about them at first but they keep proving over and over they are fantastic.
They are a bit pricey at 5 bucks a bottle (10 quid on uk Amazon) but in my eyes are SO worth it for a decent nights sleep and a happy refreshed baby in the morning. What have you got to loose by trying them?

If anyone is curious and wants a bottle, I'd be happy to post a bottle over or you can get them from Amazon, here's the link: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Hylands-Teething-Tablets-125/dp/B0002JGNHI

Here's the link to Hylands website so you can read more on them if you like: https://www.hylands.com/products/teething.php

On the other side of things, I didn't sleep a wink because I took some migraine tablets last night that had caffeine in and they left me wired all night!! I also have wicked heart burn, which I never had before or since I was pregnant. Odd. Ah well, we get to go to the pool today!

Maffie ~ Hope you feel better, chica :hugs:

Kte ~ For the OH for fathers day, at our colours play date the other day "Autumn made" him a picture frame with shapes stickers on it of butterflies and such and a card she signed in her own way ;) I'm going to see if we can afford an edger for the garden because he's been going on that he wanted one.

Anybody's child TOTALLY obsessed with their socks? I tell you, mealtimes are becoming a struggle as Monty would rather pull off and eat his socks than munch on the lovely dinner Mummy or Daddy has made for him. He also likes playing with his socks more than playing with his toys. And if he wears socks when he's put down in his cot, his feet will come straight up so he can pull off his socks. It's funny, but a little frustrating too at the times when we could do with him not eating his footwear :dohh:

I tried putting socks on Autumn when she was first born but then gave up because they stay on about 0.3 seconds lol. She's never worn them since (plus it's SO bloody hot here, she don't need them) However, she does like to suck her feet .. makes me throw up in the back of my throat a little every time she does ;) Now I know why they invented tables for high chairs .. to keep their bloody feet out their mouths at dinner time!

Shesh, Autumn is in her play room and all I can hear is Dad dad dad dad dad dad, I poke my head round the corner and tell her "No! Mum mum mum mum mum" and she just starts laughing at me!! :dohh:

Hi everyone,

I hope we're all good.

I'm frazzled. I don't think I can take much more!

Hubby went off to Ireland on Wednesday morning in the wee small hours.

Since then, Earl has been great but he fell and face planted the hearth full on and has a bump on his head.

We went swimming and he was brilliant I must say, but in the changing rooms he got his finger trapped in the door of the locker! :nope:

Hubby called me yesterday to ask me to call Orange and sort his phone out. He found out it wasn't working as Chris, the guy he's gone over with, had an off and has written his bike off and damaged his elbow. Hubby and Chris both now have to find an alternative way home!

This morning hubby calls me to tell me his wallet containing all his cards, all his Euros and his Driving licence has been stolen. I had to call the bank to cancel the cards and I'm now trying to book train tickets (was going to fly home but can't without his DL!)

I've been having some major stomach cramps - trapped wind I reckon - but they've meant I've not been sleeping well.

My Dad is ok, but is still in hospital and is still having trouble with his drugs. The nurses aren't being forthcoming and I can't get hold of my brother for an update.

Generally - I think I need a hug!

Blimey Aimee, huge :hugs: entitlement. Don't really have anything to add - just to say you know where we all are if you want to have a cry

Awh Aimee: Super :hugs: :hugs: :hugs: :hugs: :hugs: :hugs:

(now go buy a lottery ticket, think you should win to counteract all the madness)

:hugs: :hugs: :hugs: :hugs: :hugs: :hugs:

Not caught up yet just out of bed, Colsy ive had ms but its been getting orse over last week.

Good morning ladies!

Another good night's sleep here  Emma actually slept 7 hrs straight :) Bad part of it is that I've just given up on trying to get her to bed at a decent time, and let her play until she gets tired, which last night wasn't until 10:20-11pm :dohh: It seems to be working for us atm though and if she is looking for more time to practise all this developmental stuff and I can still get a decent sleep, then I'm tempted to just roll with it for now. It might come back to bite me in the ass down the road though. A thought, anyone who was a nightowl during pregnancy also have a nightowl child? I worked evening shifts until 11pm and Emma has always been a bit of a night hawk

Chaos- Hope you don't have anymore shitty days like yesterday! Eek, that must have been a horrible mess to clean up! I've used the Hylands tablets too. They are stupid expensive here- $12 a bottle! I think they work though- we use a teething necklace too and with both things, we haven't really had any bad teething problems.

Maffie- Hope you are feeling better :hugs:

Colsy- I hope the osteopath sorts out Monty's sleeping :hugs: How has he been this week? Emma loves socks and shoes too- always takes them off in the car and tries to eat them :dohh: Yesterday i actually gave her a pair to play with and distract her when she kept going for a cup of tea on the coffee table, lol :)

Aimee- Huge, massive :hugs: :hugs: :hugs: What a week!

Kte- I bought hubby accesories for his BBQ for father's day and we are going to the zoo this weekend. The dads are so hard to buy for! Good luck with getting the ebay listings done :)

Well, I better get Emma and I some late breakfast and then get ready for my doc's appt- argh, I really hope there are no smears involved with this medical assessment, lol :) Hope everyone has a good day!

*knock knock*

Hello ladies

How the devil are we all? Sorry i havent been keeping up with you all but have been really struggling with things, Ethan is FINALLY getting his full diagnosis in July so i am feeling so much better now.
Sienna is a right little monkey now and is proper hilarious!

I would catch up with the thread but reckon it would take me ages, so i wont

:flower:

BABYLOVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! wow, how are you?!!!! I saw some pics of Siena of FB & she looks a proper cheeky cutie :) Hope things go well with the full diagnosis & you get the support/assistance he may need

Dudes, Harry slept crap last night, then had a butt explosion thism morning, so I thiunk he may have had tummy ache. Seem,s perfectly fine now though & has decided he is now Mowgli from the jungle book. He keeps pushing up so he's just on hands & tippy toes with his butt stuck straigh up in the air, shouting 'yahyahyahyah' all the time. It's hilarious. Ebverytime I get the camera out to catch it he plonks himself down & gives me a big grin, like he's posing for the shot... I'm like dammit child, I want the mowgli shot, not another cute smile shot! :dohh: He also managed to get his leg stuck under the sofa 4 times yesterday trying to use it as a push-off to propelle himself forwards rather than scooting backwards like usual, and today he managed to pull the change mat over himself while I went to the kitchen to dump his nappy, and he looked like he was trying to use it as a duvet or something. He's getting more & more adventurous everyday! Still no real crawling or teeth though.

Q: have any of you tried the Organix finger foods? Like the little rice cakes, carrot puffs, tomato rings etc? I just got some for Harry to put in the change bag for if he gets hungry while out & about. He's had the rice cakes before, but not the others. Just wondering if anyone else's babies like them?

anyways, better go clear up after dinner. We had sweet & sour chicken n rice. Harry wasn't impressed with the S&S, but loved the rice at least.

PS. Maffie, feel better soon!

Baby.love - welcome back hun! Glad things are getting sorted.

Flora - James loves them. Demolishes them in about 5 seconds flat. He's really take off with the whole finger food thing now. His favourites are the carrot ones, closely followed by the tomato ones. He does like the cheese and herb puffs but not as much. His favourite thing right now is ginger nut biscuits lol.

Maffie - hope the sickness gets better soon. Thats the one thing I am dreading about having another baby. I was so lucky to not get it with James and I have a horrid feeling I will get it bad next time. My sis vomited 10 times a day up to 18 weeks with her 1st :(

Flora we by plum baby spelt biscuits they are Noah's fave and he loves rice cakes too.

LK nothing is staying down not even water. It's strange cos im about 12 weeks now and its been cranking up intensity more over the last few weeks. At least im only injecting the blood thinners once a day this time (I managed to drop my bmi down low enough to not be sooooo overweight)

Ick, maybe you have a tummy virus rather than morning sickness .. maybe give the doctor cause you're gonna get dehydrated and feel even worse :hugs:
