Flora Yey on the weight loss and yey on Harry being a fine weight. Glad your feeling much more reassured again :flower:

LK: Wow, that is a lot going on! Sounds like all good stuff though :flower: Re: Hayfever, mine has suddenly come back with vengence too, I was fine until about two weeks ago. I'm just loaded up on tablets boots own non-drousy tablets at the mo but might have to get the new era herbal ones to top it up. I was a little worried Chloe might have it too but James sounds to be really bad with it poor guy, I think I saw something at boots but couldn't see any baby ones, only older infants if that makes sense. Might be worth asking at a pharmacy or getting someone for you since your super busy :flower:

I'm trying to shift 2 M&P car seats right now to try and fund the next one up but the are just not shifting, I have managed to sell the surefix base but not the seats £5  Which is better than nothing but Chloe's got little frog legs too!

*Yawn* Who stole my night time?

Errrm, I'm thinking it might have been me. Yup, Monty slept through - I mean RIGHT THROUGH from 7pm til 6.10am - for the first time in about two months :happydance:

But Chaos, sorry you had a bad'n. What happened? Have a cuppa :coffee: on me :hugs:

LK - I think the weight is the important thing (from what I can gather) as they test them with at least 9kg in and if it's less the seat may not act in the proper way if that makes sense.

We bit the bullet and put Earl in his Tobi to go and see Dad yesterday and he loves it. It's got 5 reclines to he could lie back to sleep or sit up to eat (we were naughty and had a mcdonalds and he had a chicken nugget  He loved it! lol) It's so secure and you can see that he loves it as he smiles when he's in it which he was just screaming constantly in the carrier.

You can get Group 0+ ones that are bigger (think the Cabriofix ones are the bigger ones) if they aren't up to the weight. However, I also read somewhere that the head has to be at the level of the seat or below. As soon as it's above they are technically too big so have to be moved up anyway!

Harry has frog legs in his stage 0 rear facing carseat, but still has about 4inches head room at the top, so when we were looking at seats, the Mothercare person said not to get one yet & to wait for him to grow a couple more inches & hit 9kg... We're planning on a multistage one with isofix stuff coz OH's company car has built in isofix thingies. (I dont understand the isofix stuff, lol, so he's gonna be the one sorting that!)

Colsy, thanks for the info on the osteo.

Maffie- i completely forgot to say thankyou to you for commenting on my fb post too the other day :dohh:

I was gonna put Harry in the paddling pool today, but his pirate ship has got a bloody hole in it!!! Only 1 side will now inflate. I guess it is like 4 years old, but still, Harry himself only used it once! :dohh: Think I'll just get a cheapy round one for him. A friend of ours has just bought him a little slide for the garden, so i cant wait to see her July so he can play on it. Do any of you have one of those little baby swings for the garden??? If so, are they any good & worth the money?

I looked for a swing on eBay, as Monty has grown out of his Graco swing. (I didn't know until yesterday that you're not meant to use it once baby sits up unaided.) But I couldn't find baby swings at all - I could find masses of Graco battery swings, and loads of swings and slides for older kids, but no little baby swings that you are portable and can use inside and outside. Anybody know where sells them?

I saw one in Argos for £25 that says 6 months to 1 year. I think it can only be used outside though... I'm just not convinced that £25 for a swing he can only use till he's a year old is worth it, iyswim??? (Coz it's like only 3 months of usuage over the summer, then porbably wont be used over the autumn or winter, then come next summ er, he'll be too big I guess for a baby swing?)
I may see if I can hunt one that can be converted from baby swing style seat to a normal swing seat or something....?

will do :) It's my task for the day. (well, for the time Harry is asleep so i can be on the internet still, lol)

Good morning!

Hope everyone is having a good day :) It's after 9am here and Emma is still sleeping! I guess we tired her out yesterday! Yesterday Emma experienced her first earthquake- it was a small one measuring 5.0 that was centred about 50km from us. We were out to lunch, sitting on a patio at the time and there was a loud, prolonged rumbling and of course everything sort of shook and swayed. Anyway, it was a hot day here too so we spent some time in the pool (we have it half filled now ). We have a "Mommy and Me" float for Emma- its a giant inflatable disc with a notch to go around an adult and another hole with leg supports for a baby (sorry, hard to explain!). Emma discovered that the water is at the perfect height to use the float as a walker and was tearing around the pool, having a great time.

Flora- We have this outdoor swing for Emma: https://www.littletikes.com/toys/2-in-1-snug-secure-swing.aspx I don't know if there is something like that in the UK, but it's supposed to be good up to 48 mths. The t-bar clips behind the swing when they get older. That sucks about the pirate ship- it sounded pretty cool! Could you patch the hole?

Hope all the hayfever sufferers get some relief soon :hugs:

Gotta run- I think I hear Emma finally waking up!

Afternoon all

Carseats, I bought a 0+ for Noah and even though he's well underweight even now we have removed the newborn booster bit he still has frog legs he's just so long. Do they do any rear facing group 1 seats?

Colsy I still use our baby swing but dont leave him unsupervised as he can help the swing reach a fast speed. It is rarely used now though as he'd much rather be in his jumperoo (need to sell one now as dont need the spare at mums)

Noah isnt liking the heat and isnt getting to sleep till 10pm, he's just all hot and clammy. Thankfully after his feed at 5 he fell back to sleep till 7 this morning. (I was up most the night with nightmares though :dohh:)

Hope you manage go catch up on sleep Chaos, hows the eye now?

Kaites I like the sound of that float, ive still not managed to get Noah to a pool yet.

Maffie - spare Jumparoo? Hmmm, let me pester Nij :haha: Chloe loves the one at nursery so I'm pretty interested if you do decide to sell :flower:

I still haven't managed to Chloe to one either and I know she would love it.

I have a fisherprice one and a mamas and papas one, mum says we need to make room so think the m&p one will have to go

It's similar to this but with different toys on it if that makes sense and the leg are a diff shape  i can always take a pic of it.

Maffie: I have PM'd you about the jumperoo :flower: Hope this cooler weather is better for Noah.

Will be back on soon, just got in from work and that and its CHloes bed time.

Just found it here: https://www.adventuretoys.co.uk/prodpage.asp?ProdID=138

It seems really reasonably priced, unlike most baby things! Kaites, does Emma enjoy it? And can you shift it around, so you can put it inside easily when it rains?

Yay to Emma for sleeping gone 9am. What time did she go to bed? Did she sleep all the way through? Hope so!

Maffie - I think you can get groups 0+1 seats that both forward and rear face that go from birth to 4 years. We physically can't get Earl into his without a struggle. It's going to be used in the van on Monday then that's it until the next LO arrives. Handy that we all have this stuff ready now lol. I think that Britax do some nice ones.

Looks like the exact same swing :) We have the pink model (probably wouldn't want that for Monty, lol). Emma enjoys it as much as the ones in the park so it's nice to have it in our backyard for days when I'm too lazy to walk to the park  We have a rope hitched around a tree branch with bowline knots on either end (can you tell I used to sail? :haha:) and the swing has metal fittings that just clip over the loops of rope, making it really easy to remove. We started out really good, taking it down each night so that there wouldn't be leaves on the seat, making it dirty, but now it just stays up all the time and I give it a quick wipe down before using.

Emma passed out at 9pm but woke up at 3 & 5am for feeds- not sleeping all the way through, but still a huge improvement from a few weeks ago! That's awesome that Monty slept through last night- I hope you get lots more nights like that!

I quite like britax seats will be ptting this one away for bump.

Just stuffed myself with chicken kebab, not as nice here as back in Manchester but really fancied it.

Noah is in bed thankfully so managed earlier than the last few nights. Think i'll be going soon too.

Well Noah can almost get out of his swing (tried it today) so thats now decommissioned :(

that swing look great, but sadly we have no trees in our garden to hang it from! :( darn!

Same here. We have lots of trees in the field behind our garden, but that means climbing over a dry-stone wall ... plus the field isn't ours anyway LOL. I kind of presumed the swing came with a frame - seems funny that the manufacturer assumes lots of people have suitable hanging places in their garden. Which reminds me, I really wish my OH would work out a way to hang up the lovely hammock we bought in Palolem when we were in India four years ago. Hmmm, do babies and chilling out in hammocks go together :dohh:
