I hate feeling so ungreatful, technically it's nice but ... it's pink . . . and it's floral!

As in, its a frame with wheels :haha:

(Mornin')

 The 1970's called and want their chintz curtains back ;) You'll never loose that buggy, that's for sure!! Did you mum go out and buy that for you or did she just have it in storage?

 Sides hurt!

You know what, this one won't break will it! . . . I'm doomed to be stuck with it forever!

I thought she had bought one as new but it's got some icky food marks on it (why don't ppl clean things they sell?!?) so it's obv second hand - they better not of charged her too much!

I wonder if they paid her to take it?

Ok ok, I'll stop now haha. At least you got a buggy! :)

Wow that's a lot of pink floral! People will see you coming with that thing!

Car is all packed for camping, just waiting for hubby to get out of the shower and we are off :) It's started to rain here but hopefully the weather system will bypass Lake Placid- probably wishful thinking... Ick, hope we aren't camping in the rain.

Anyway, hope everyone has a nice weekend!

Have a great time and hope the wet weather stays away :flower:

Kte... Perhaps you could change Chloe's name to "Rose", to match the buggy? ;) It's um... pink. You'll certainly not lose it amongst the myriad of black buggies which are about these days!

Maffie - Noah sounds even more of a handful than Romilly!

Thanks for the welcome back, girlies :D

It's my worst-nightmare of a pram! Darn my lack of ability at needlecraft :haha: Eek!

Right im fuming im sacking my midwife and the crap team. Im phoning the hospital tomorrow to change teams. First my doc says I need extra appointments and i cant book o9ne now ive had to text to ask for an appointment as I need my matb1 form and she said she doesnt and them out till after 25 weeks as I dont have to hand it in until im 28 weeks. :grr: The Government states I can have it after 20 weeks and work require it before the start of my 25th week of pregnancy. I work for the flipping Government yet this midwife is adamant I dont need it and wants to know why I want it early.

Sorry for the rant im pissed off with people telling me I cant have what I bloody need.

awww Kte thats so so..... erm pink :haha:

It could be worse you could have a boy in it.

Girls, HELLO! Missed you all. It's 9.30pm and I got to go sleep, but I just wanted to say hi. Pretty big news to impart (I guess it's more exciting for me than all of you though) ... OH and I have a couple of weeks off work now ... we've finally decided to pay for a private sleep clinic consultation and tonight is the first night of the programme. Hence the time off work because we are going to have some hard nights ahead of us and we thought it best to be off work if we're going to be on no sleep at all. Will try to catch up with all tomorrow xxx

WOAH! that's PINK!!! lol

Tell you what, if you like I'll try to rustle you up a more 'neutral' pram liner on the machine....it'll give me something to do! lol

Ooooh Hurricaine Earl is on the warpath! I hope no-one we know is caught in that. Irony being that Earl is on the warpath at the moment with teething, growth spurts and deciding to chase after anything that moves!! lol :dohh:

Maffie - Sort that midwife out! I can't believe she's messing you about like that. Blooming NHS!

I've got my appointments through for my teeth and my extraction(s) will take place on the 8th of October. I'm supposed to be going to my MIL's 50th on the 9th but I don't know whether to just go ahead or postpone. I'm in agony, so would rather just get it sorted out, but I can't not go.

Colsy - Good Luck with the sleep clinic. I hope that you get it sorted out

Right, I'm off to bed. Earl is a touch on the unsettled side of lie tonight. It's probably all that running around today including going on slides and swings at the park and then chasing apoor unfortunate duck around the pond in the village! :haha:

Have a nice evening ladies. :flower:

Ooooh Hurricaine Earl is on the warpath! I hope no-one we know is caught in that.

I'm in NC, but I'm further in land so it shouldn't hit us .. we might get some wind and rains but nothing as bad as the outer banks is going to get (coast of NC) They are saying its as big as the state of California .. woah!

I think you need to go have the teeth out, it's your health .. I know it's her 50th, but you're more important!

Maffs ~ That's shit ... can you speak to her boss.

Colsy ~ Good to see you! I take it that the sleep consultation is for Monty? I'm looking forward to hear how it goes!

Morning all

Im phoning the hospital today to make a complaint and change teams. It's not my first run in with her she was disgruntled when I had an extra appointment to check BP with it being high she said oooh thats low today and suggested nothing that was only a day or so before I collapsed with it.

Colsy hope the sleep programme brings some good results

Well we are still on milk refusal I think this is day 5, im now having to pump and give it by cup :dohh: he'll drink anything from his big boy cup :haha: Boobs and bottles get whacked away

Right off to ring the hospital wish me luck.

Good Luck Maffie :flower:

Why do some of them have to be like that? Annoying to say the least!

My mum phoned hospital cos I got all wussy and upset anyway 2 minutes later the mw phoned my mobile and spoke to my mum she wasnt happy a complaint was being made. (funny how she can phone when a complaints made) So I phoned the hospital to ask whty she had started calling me after making a complaint so now awaiting a manager to confirm a midwife team change and im seeign the hospital team on Monday.

:grr: im annoyed I got so upset but its just added stress I dont need.

oooh Kte my brother aid the pushchair was nice for a girl (he's part of the a girl has pink brigade)

Aimee: Thank you, if you could that would be excellent! Thanks :flower: Hope Earl has settled down with his teeth and growing pains. :flower: I heard this morning the hurricane has gone down a level too  Oh and I'd get your teeth done too, not fun I know but you don't want to have to wait and they give you more jip. :hugs:

Chloe is very grizzily at the moment too, not sure if she has a sore throat but thinks its more from her whinging than anything else. Her bottom teeth are coming through and it's giving her some jip, she didn't seem so fussed about her top ones

Chaos: Hope it does miss you (the hurricane) :flower:

EDIT: Maffie: :grr: That's uncalled for! She might not be happy ther has been a complaint but tough! Don't be awkward in the first place! Stick to your guns, you know it doesn't feel right, hope they listen to you soon :hugs: Bless your Bro. As you know, I'm just not a girly girly pink type. I don't mind a little bit of pink for Chloe (as shown by her car in the avatar!) but not too much and anyway that thing is CHINTZ FLORAL PINK  Even the rain cover has a pink hem

I found some history on pink and blue a few months ago, the colours used to be the other way around, pink for boys! Think it was on QI or something :haha:

:haha: pink for boys I think majority I bought for Noah was red, walker, second jumperoo, rocker chair and bumbo all red

Kte Noah's bottom teeth were much worse than top (he got the 2 bottom ones first) He doesn't notice them if we stay busy.

:hi: all.

Wow, that's a very pink pushchair Kte, but it's not hideous- I personally HATE those lime green 'things' from M&Ps worse, lol.

Maffie, sorry to hear they're messing you about so much. Blimmin idiots :dohh:

Colsy, I hope the sleep program helps all of you :hugs:

Ummm, yeah, so my mind's gone blank as to whatever else has been going on on here, whoops!

Hope all of you are well & that ypou have a lovely weekend. x

Maffie - that is so unprofessional of her! I can't believe she had the gumption to call you too and have a go! If you have the energy and don't get anywhere with her manager, I'd consider reporting her to the NMC (the governing body for nurses and midwives), as her behaviour is absolutely not on! I hope your new team is nice. I changed midwives (in fact, I changed health authority!) at 16 weeks because my midwife was such an utter cow. I put in a complaint at the same time. I had to see her for one of my home visits after LO was born though - she had a sourpuss look on her face the whole time she was here

Colsy - hope the sleep clinic yields good results for you :hugs:

Aimee - I agree with Chaos that your health is more important! Hope Earl has a more settled night tonight.

Chaos - here's hoping that you only see very minor results from Hurricane Earl!

I've had a busy few days, and I'm really looking forward to Sunday when I can rest again! The past 2 days have totally disrupted Romilly's nap routine too, which is awful :dohh: She used to nap beautifully (until Tuesday this week!) and now she's fighting it like no-one's business! Hopefully we'll get back on track too.

I think she has another tooth coming, which probably isn't helping. At the moment she has the front 4 on top, but only one on the bottom

I found out yesterday that I need to get her tested for a genetic blood disorder which she may have inherited from DH (who also needs to be tested). My SIL was diagnosed a month ago but we only found out yesterday, courtesy of MIL. I already posted in the GS about it, I am so fuming.

Anyways, off to pour myself a glass of wine, then early night so that I'm bright-eyed and bushy-tailed for LO's swimming lesson tomorrow!

Eala the matron in charge of the area's midwives called me and someone is coming out to have a meeting with me to discuss whats happened and see the texts etc she was lovely and i'll be getting a new team and in the mean time im seeing the midwife at the hospital on Monday. Ive spoke to this matron before funnily enough in regards the same midwife who was adamant she'd been calling me for 2 weeks (funny that as someone stayed in daily in case she called).

Busy week next week with my appointment then Noah see's the paediatric surgeon then ive got to see a haematology consultant I feel like I might as well stay at the hospital :dohh:

Seeing Kte tomorrow for some shopping :) I'll be seeing that pink in person

Eala hope the tests can be done quickly for you i'd of expected my family to tell me much sooner than a month. :hugs:

Flora hows everything going for you hun?

Has anyone heard from littlekitten dont think ive seen her on here for a while.
