Bumpkins & Babies Chat Thread

Thanks all :hugs:

Sickness & sleepiness coming and going. Still can't believe Chloe will be a big sister and trying to figure out how to let her know so she understands? Feels included.

Bingers: Glad all is going well, wow 28 weeks already?!!

Kte we didn't say much to phoebe in first few weeks and found out sex when could to make it more real! In last month or so seems to understand is going to have a baby sister! She likes talking to her and unprompted often says things about her i.e toys she will let her play with etc. Also talking about what gift she can get the baby and what the baby can get for her though she obviously doesn't understand the impact the baby will have on her. Hope tiredness etc not too bad x

thanks bringers, yeah I thi when she can see more it will make more sense to her :) aww phoebe sounds so cute being a big sister x

Sorry using I pad at work and I am so rubbish at the predictive text spell check correction stuff still!

Kte - Huge congratulations hun!! I've been away for 2 weeks so only just catching up today. Hope you feel ok. With Earl we simply started to mention the baby a lot more, and I got him involved in the preparations (he helped me to put up borders around the cot etc to 'make it nice for baby' etc. He has his moments (like just a few minutes ago when he decided to use his hammer to 'wake Eddy up!' but all in all he loves being a big brother and shows Eddy off to anyone who will listen :haha:

We've just got back from Ireland at 6pm last night. Managed to do 3 hours on the ferry and then 6 hours in the car with Earl and Eddy. Both ways they did really well, and Eddy slept the majority of each journey. Only minor incident was trying to prise Earl out of his PJ's during the journey - he has become rather attached to them recently lol. :dohh:

Hope we're all having a good summer. We seem to have been non-stop despite neither of us working or anything. Planning a trip to the zoo for my birthday as we were supposed to go to Dublin Zoo while we were over there but didn't manage to get there.

Hi to everyone

Kte I think the older kids adapt to new babies quite well. N would come and kiss and stroke my tummy when I mentioned the baby. Lol I was talking to my friend about babies the other day and he came and patted my tummy and asked baby? :haha:

Aimee: Wow, you guys do seem none stop! Glad your enjoying it though :) I hear you on the wanting to be in PJ's all the time, Chloe would happily go to nursery in hers if I let her.

Fraggles :haha: He's getting broody with you as well then! Hows things with moving to the new job?

Chloe did happily skip about today saying 'im going to be a big sister'. I'm sure she will be fine, I'll be wanting my cuddles and baby will be getting them all :haha:

We went to a nursery friends birthday party today, it was great, Chloe best friend was also excited and it was nice as we finally got to speak to his parents (as much as you can over loud party music) and exchanged numbers so they can meet up outside nursery and play together. I was really pleased they had the same thinking as we did!

Aimee- sounds like you guys have been enjoying! that's great they did so well with the trips. Hope you guys enjoy the zoo! Earl sounds like a lovely big brother :cloud9:

Fraggles- even though Milo was younger when I was pregnant with Ava, he loved to pat my belly once it got bigger :haha:

I'm apart of some support groups on facebook, and I'm going to be meeting up with two other mom's and their children on the 25th. It's my first playdate with another mom of special needs, so a little nervous but still excited to see what happens with multiple autistic children :argh: :haha:

Enjoy the meet up, sounds like a good idea x

I havent heard anything yet on the job front. Even though its a transfer I have to go through the application process as its a highly sort area. Just hoping I get an interview for it.

Good luck and I hope you get an interview x

Chloe has amazed me, took her some knickers into nursery yesterday and she has taken to potty training like a duck to water! She has had a few small accidents but more being caught out than antything. She even managed a wee in the toilet on the way home yesterday at the bus station as to my horror she was still in her knickers! She refused a nappy last night so I figured I'd let her have a go as she is usually dry at night now, 9/10 anyway and she stayed dry all night. We went to nursery this morning in just knickers as well, I was really really concerned about bus journeys but she's doing fantastically! . . . So much for waiting for December, I knew she would prob get there before me, she always has with these things!

Kids are amazing arent they  N has been pretty much dry all week. Im still doing nappies at night but other than the odd small accident he's in pants full time. He also doesnt seem to wee on the cars or superman pants just on the plain ones we have :happydance::haha:

Well done Chloe!!! :happydance::happydance::happydance:

My announcement - I've started my Christmas Shopping!! Tesco's are doing a clearance of all the toys ready for the Christmas toys. Got Earl a micro-machines type thing and Eddy a 'racing snail' toy lol.

Ooooh I will thanks. I need some action figure type playsets for Earl as he loves to make believe play now and he has very few things he can do that with. Also want to get a new walker for Eddy as we donated ours to a friend.

Got a scan today, hope all is okay, trying to remain positive but my body is doing odd things at the moment
