Bumpkins & Babies Chat Thread

Thanks girls.. I didnt even try to lose weight until this year, the ticker is from the last 3 months, so not even my full loss since bear!! I was shockingly big after her

I remember you Taylors Mummy :flower:

Kte - I thought it was obvious who i was :haha: Do you need another clue? Im still on FB and had no breaks off there, but i don't post loads... although i have today!!!!! :coffee:

Catch ya laters girls xx

Kte im just awaiting the contract to come through. Had email to say interview was successful. Hope the sickness eases soon

LittleMinx - excuse the baby brain! Ive no clue, its prob most blatantly obvious but I have just been sat in the office, phone ringing for me, someone at the door and I was still in my own little work

Kte - The birthday was nice. Shopping trip with the family and a lunch in La Tasca  Yummers!

Hope the sickness wears off for you. I've been so luncy in that mine never got further than queasiness.

Earl is now doing 1 full day per week at pre-school as that's all I can afford until he gets his funding in January. He absolutely loves it there, and is doing brilliantly. I am already finding it hard to deal with the fact that he may well have to leave soon because we need a bigger house and will more than likely have to move towns. I'm toying with the idea of sending him back to a CM when we've moved (as I have to return to work in Jan and Edward will be going to a CM then) and then applying to the local primary school to do pre-school there from September rather than an independent one - I think it would be less moves in the long run. So confusing! And all this before he's even 3!

Speaking of being 3. Are we thinking about birthdays yet, or is that a dirty word? :haha:

It is very nice to see some old familiar faces coming back. Hi Taylor's Mummy  I still see a lot of people around on FB but I'm not a massive fan of it lately. Too many scams and stalkers for my liking.

LittleMinx - sorry I'm none the wiser due to sleep deprivation! lol

Speaking of which my bed is beckoning me - the children only went to sleep at 8.30 and 8.45 so I now need tea and biccies! lol :haha:

Morning all... well i feel terrible! And my antibiotics don't seem to be doing anything,..

Not really thought about madams birthday yet, not a clue what to get her! She took a shine to the puppets at preschool, so maybe get her some little finger puppets.

Hope you enjoyed the tea and biccies Aimee!?

x

Forgot to ask - how are all the bumpkins doing with potty/toilet training? Madam is done at home during the day, but we are still holding back when going out .. but thats all change from this week... we have decided no more nappies at all in the day as she is great with a potty or toilet. Although poo is still freaking her out a bit, but i know that will fall into place in her head.

So daytime trips, just get on with them and do toilet stops? or just make her pee before we go out? I always use the car so not much walking is ever involved.

:flower:

Earl decided that he didn't want to wear nappies any more when Eddy was about 2 weeks old. Since then he's been pretty much accident free and has been pretty good at night too. He has the odd day when it all goes a bit wrong for him (bless him he really tries lol) but on the whole we've been dry for nearly 3 months now! I even put the potty in the recycling last week as it was just gathering dust....graduated fully to the 'big boy toilet' last month. I'd love to take some credit but it's all been Earl's achievement! :cloud9:

daytime trips - basically anything up to 2 hours he's fine as long as he goes before we go out. If we stop for any reason (bus station or for a cuppa for example) we take advantage. must confess even now if we go anywhere new the first thing I do when we arrive is scout out where the loos are as it saves that panic of 'Mummy I need a wee' which is like a 2 minutes warning lol.

Aimee : how come Earl doesn't get funding until January? I haven't even begun to look into it all yet. chloe is still full time at nursery and they have a pre-school there so up until march time she will just keep going there. Feel really sad I have to pull her out early now. Its awful when they love it so isn't it! Then I thought after lo is here I can get her to a local one for her free hours.

I know, 3 so soon! We have two things for her and that's pretty much it. I'm going to send some party bags to nursery for her friends but not really organising a party, may do a fare well party next year instead. Kind of stuck on things to get her though, asking people for clothes (not dresses) as she has been given so many toys already! Think we are going out for the day somewhere fun but that's as far as the plan goes!

Potty training wise, she is doing great, some no2s make it into the potty, others don't! I'm like Aimee, hunt for the loos first. We take a potty out and about with us just in case, we've only had to pull to the side of the road once. She has been dry at night for ages and I leave her potty in there at night and she is so good and does a wee first thing. She also has pretty much done it all and instigated it all herself. As soon as she got knickers she refused to wear nappies again and the worse day was when she was ill and it went a little wrong but apart from that she is a being a star.

Hope you feel better soon littleminx :flower:

We find trips out better than at home, but I think that's because I need to wee all the time :haha: I think we are almost there with potty training. Its harder at night as I cant leave a potty in the bedroom as J is also in there.

Funding is the term after child turns 3 Kte so January for all of us.

I'm looking forward to to the nursery funding in January when nursery fees will reduce significantly so should be able to let phoebe continue to go when I'm on maternity leave particularly as still get child care vouchers when on statutory maternity leave! Was a nice surprise to find that out!

Potty wise phoebe decided in mid June that she didn't want to wear nappies any more and that was it. Couple of days with two or three accidents and nothing since and then said no to nappies at night two weeks later and done really well! Had an accident every 3 or 4 weeks if that! As witty everything else she dd t when read and so glad didn't listen to anybody who said do it earlier as she dry at night a lot sooner than her friends!

Finish work for maternity leave on Thursday and can't wait!

Nice t hear how you all getting on x

Kte - what fraggles said lol. They get 15 hours free starting from the term after they turn 3, so we should all get our freebies from Jan '13. I hope to have him in 2 days per week only from Jan-September regardless of how we do it as I now only have to work max 20 hours to get our full finding (was 30 when we only had Earl) so if I can get a 2/3 day per week job then we should all do ok. All a lot of stress and I'm choosing to ignore the whole issue until after Christmas lol :haha:

Bingers - It's funny how they just decide isn't it lol. I think with Earl he got annoyed at me as I would change his nappy ever time I changed Eddy's - it saved me having to be up and down the stairs all the time if I did them both at at the same time - so rather cruelly I think I forced his hand a little. Earl has done well at night. I think maybe he has an accident every 2-3 weeks, but I let him choose what he wants to wear at night still, so it's all in his control. It's a very rare thing now that he will use the nappy, if indeed he chooses it.

I agree about the funding, roll on Jan! Then madam will be going for 5 sessions a week :) ... She is off to school today with knickers on and she is really excited, something has clicked and she likes being a 'big girl'. Ive packed plenty of changes of clothes just in case, but i think she might be ok.

Still feeling as rough as hell. Stupid chest infection and flu has wiped me out, and the antibiotics I'm on are proper hardcore.

x

Fraggles: good luck on the house hunt, is it just you moving there or are your family going as well? :flower:

Bingers: wow I cant believe it's time for you to go on maternity leave! Hope everything is going well x

Colsy: am I right in thinking your due same time as binders? This second time around malarkey seems to go much much faster!

Littleminx: glad your lo is feeling much happier about bing in big girl knickers  still sending you feel better vibes :flower:

I managed it into work today, having hot flushes at the moment! Kinda just want to go home now, I usually last half a day and then just feel wrecked :nope: scan on Friday, working to that! Hope they will be okay with Chloe coming with us.

Kte - Earl came to all ours with Eddy including my freebie trainees scans at 40w. I find the technicians are lovely - very professional obviously but especially when we went to the 20w and 32w scans we had, they were showing Earl the various body parts and asking him if he thought it would be a boy or a girl. He loved it, although when the tech who did our 12 week scan asked him what he thought he replied 'it was quite good', and she looked a little bit offended :haha:

It does go one heck of a lot faster 2nd time. I noticed the other day that it was the 16th September. That's exactly a year since we got our BFP!

Morning!

Kte - Each of my pregnancies seemed to go quicker than the last... How are you feeling today chick?

Aimee - A year!! thats mental.

Well madam did it, she managed the whole session at school without an accident and I'm so proud.. Think we will start night times in the next holidays. Thats it then, my baby is no longer  Its lush watching her grow into a kind & funny little person.

Feeling slightly better today, hope its the end of this evilness.

Have a good day all x

Feeling much better today, still have a little sickness but feeling much more human! I'm usually good for about 3 hours when I wake up and then that's my lot :haha:

Today we are 13weeks and 3 days along, that was the first time we ever saw Chloe. It was funny as she had hiccups when we saw her - so today to celebrate her sibling being the same age, she had hiccups!

Glad your feeling better & well done with no accidents!

Wowzers Aimee and now he is 3 months already! :baby:

Wowzers Aimee and now he is 3 months already! :baby:

I know, and he's getting so big. He's 16w and 4 days tomorrow (has his 16 week jabs) and we plan on starting weaning next week as he's more than ready! It's crazy really, he's just so alert and responsive now - and giggly too which Earl never was lol.

Earl had his school pictures today. He was NOT happy about having to go to school on a non-school day lol. But we got there and the piccy we got is lovely so I hope they turn out ok. He's getting so big and clever now - it's weird to think of him being 3 though. He's no longer the baby at school as there was an new intake of 2 year olds in June and then again in September, so he's actually a veteran now despite still being in the u3 group.

Think he has his first cold of winter coming though - been in a right mood all day and been sneezing all afternoon too. :dohh:

Evening girls...

Im scared! We had a talk tonight and we *think* we might want another baby... Gonna mull it over for a while and see how we feel. I thought we were done, but we are in a position where having another would be good.

Good luck with jabs tomorrow Aimee x
