Bumpkins & Babies Chat Thread

Earl's been whingey all day. The toaster popped and made him jump which brought on full on tears this morning :dohh:

I know it sounds evil, but I actually laughed at this! Sorry Aimee, I'm sure you know I only mean it in a nice way :winkwink: Monty woke up fine and had a decent morning, but he's way pretty grotty since lunch. I'm working and OH has had him for most of the day, so OH is getting a bit tired and irritable now!

Don't worry I laughed at the time too....it's the delayed reaction, it gets me every time lol :haha:

Awh bless jumpy babies :hugs:

Lol Chaos, Chloe did the best Barnie Gumble (from the Simpsons in case I spelt his name wrong and no one knows who I am on about!) yesterday, her bottom lip even rippled! My best friend and I were in hysterics!

Hope the appointment is nice and theraputic :flower:

Work was okay Aimee, I really don't know how I will manage 5 days a week yet! It's hard enough and I like my job and the people I work with! It's fun exam paper sorting time at the moment starts now in prep for May, its important yet tedious making sure they all of the same style, no typos's all the correct info etc! Norwich sounds a good choice, I would defo say no to Hull (but that might be a rivaly thing going on on behalf of my work lol) but seriously, yes the place is being all regenerated and that but I wouldn't want to live there, my cousins live there or there about before people shout at me for picking on Hull lol!

Mmmm Chocolate bun time, already had a Chloe cuddle and now she is sleeping soundly. I miss her so much at work, thank goodness for facebook pictures!

Good afternoon!

Got back from Emma's 4mth jabs a little while ago. She wasn't quite as mellow as last time, but she still didn't freak out too badly. I was hoping they would make her super sleepy so I could get some housework done but no such luck- she's wide awake. Her growth is showing no signs of slowing yet- she's 20 lbs even, 26.5" long and her head circ. is 17". I guess I shouldn't be surprised that her 6-9 mth sleepers are a bit too small now, lol :) Anyway, hope everyone is having a good day- time for Emma to have a bit of a play in the Jolly Jumper while I attempt to fold laundry :)

Evening ladies. How is everyone? James had fun at my nans today. Even managed a smile by the time we left pmsl. He is now chewing his fists, drooling and laughing at his grandad lol. Almost bath time. He used to hate his bath but now I have discovered if I make it hotter than they suggest he loves it! All the kids in my family are the same lol. Like their baths and bottles hot. Obviously I don't make it so hot he comes out like a little cherry but fairly warm lol.

Nij - glad Chloe was pretty good for you today. James doesn't like drills either!

Kte - your lucky you can still access B&B at work lol. We only have 2 computers and they are at the desk so can't actually use them. That and they are evil and block any interesting websites lol.

lhamil88 - why have they told you to wean Jack? I am wondering whether to start weaning James cos he has reflux and lactose intolerance. The reflux had settled a bit but is now back with avengance!

Chaos - OMG James totally does that all the time! Earlier he farted and I honestly thought it was my brother it was that loud! Doesn't phase him any more though lol.

Kte - The reason he put Hull is because we live close and wouldn't have to move (about 40 mins in the car - Earl was technically born in Hull, well, Cottingham) but it was really to fill a space in his application lol. He was getting all 5 shots at target for his £19 lol.

Kaites - Emma really is growing lol. Earl's growth has slowed slightly but he's having a major spurt in everything at the moment and must be the far side of 18lb now. His 6-9's are still fine but I'm getting nervous as overnight they've stopped being 'too big' and are now 'fine' lol.

speaking of spurts I've just posted this: https://www.babyandbump.com/baby-club/274971-wow-didnt-know-happened-fast.html#post4403955

Anyhoo's I'm determined to have a bit of a chill out. Take-away for tea as we're going veggie for a month as of Monday and hubby wants one last splurge. So it's either Pie and chips from the chippy or kebab from the shop depending on what time he gets out of work (the chippy shuts at 9, he leave work at 8.30 with a 25 mins commute lol)

Earl is in bed, and I have the remote - all is good in the world lol. Have a lovely evening ladies xx :hugs:

Lol, I don't blame you getting value for money! Yeah wasn't thinking logistically that wouldn't have been so bad.

Chloe is asleep on the couch, I for some reason am on the floor?!? Cats have claimed rest of couch and they all look so snuggily I don't want to move them.

LK Glad James has had a good day :D Our work are tight on websites to students, well they block facebook, but staff get lots of access for research :haha: I know I am lucky really.

Kaites ~ wow Emma is really growing! lol state the obvious me . . . she looks fine in her pics tho, do you find people / random strangers try to treat her as older?

Right, best go make up some feeds as the kettle is ready now.

Hi everyone, I haven't posted in a long time. How has everyone been, so weird to think that this time last year we are all just more or less a couple of weeks pregnant! Time has flown for me since Jacob was born, I can't believe he is 19 weeks tomorrow - so scary, he is growing up so fast and he's a big boy too. He was weighed almost 2 weeks ago and he was 18lb 3 and 65cms long so I'm sure he's a lot more now. Has anyone started weaning yet? I'm hoping to try BLW at 6 months. Jacob's not a big feeder even though he's a big boy, he only takes around 24-28oz a day.
Those teeth are also driving him mad at the minute and he's waking up at 2am, 3am, 4am etc etc so we are knackered at the minute. The bibs I'm going through are crazy just to contend with all the drool!
He rolled over from tummy to back last night, me and hubby were amazed and all excited by it, I love it when he does something new.
Loads of pics of him on facebook, if anyone wants a peep just add me as a friend, here's a link to my profile, just let me know you're from here though x

Evening all, well took Noah to meet a friend today, he loved sitting in Starbucks and watching everyone. He's so nosey must get that from me  He's been a bit grizzly this evening I think his mouth his sore as he's chewing everything again.

Managed to feed him on a packed train today too, he was screaming blue murder so thought id just get on with it.

Craftymum; jacob is gorgeous, as usual; I love all your pics on FB :)

We picked up the wedding rings today from Southampton; I really want to wear mine already, lol, but I'm resisting coz it's probably bad luck or something. Also got some quotes for the cake, so hopsefuly that'll be sorted by end of weekend, then it's just the flowers & photographer to finalize & somehow figure out where the hell I'm gonna find some spending money for the honeymoon from! :dohh: And we're also off camping in Cornwall for the last week of april too, so it means we're pretty much away that entire month, which will be weird!

We took harry swimming for the first time today & all I can say is thankgod he takes after his daddy! He absolutely loved it; the smile didn't leave his face the whole 40 mins, even when we dunked him right under 4 times!!! All these little old ladies were swimming up to us, asking how old he was & how impressed they were at unphased by everything he was. He was also having quite the conversation with the lights on the ceiling, lol. We're gonna take him every week from now on. Plus he looked so cute in his 'surf-o-saurus' all in one swim suit, hehe. Mothercare & Tesco have some cute boys suits in right now & the zoggs reusable trunks are brilliant too & more eco friendly than actual swim nappies.

anyways, better go pump before I go to bed. byeeeee.

ooh, aimeelou, my mum went to UEA (eng lit & american history) back in the 80's. I grew up in Norwich till I was 15 & all my friends & family still live there. It's a nice place & TONS of stuff to do for kiddies & stuff. :)

Morning all , hope were all well, and slept well too!! Well George is in a great routine now, has his last bottle at 9ish and then goes bed in his own room!! and hes sleeping really well till about 730,im so pleased, as i feel i have abit of time to myself and for my Hubby now when he goes bed, well today were off to Toy R Us to get a Bumbo for George, so im praying they have got them in, well have a great day ladies and enjoy your weekend xxx

Sam try mothercare for a bumbo they have them on offer with playtray in for the less than the normal price of a bumbo.

Afternoon ladies. How is everyone today? My best friend came to see me and James this morning. She hasn't seen him since 7 weeks old so she was shocked how big he is now lol. And he was very well behaved and even gave her a big smile! Normally gives new people the bottom lip lol. He's now having a nap in his bouncer cos he got overtired and wouldn't give in so had to bounce him to sleep. It's going to be a bit strange tonight cos everyone else is going out so will be just me and James for the evening for the first time in a month.

Am I being dumb, I cant find a link for Crafty Mum?!

Afternoon Ladies...

We've been and collect my ebay highchair, well chuffed; better than expected... LOL Now my Mum wants one...

CC is really enjoying the solid, Dad laughed at her eating carrot & swede, she wolfed it down; DS make such a fuss with veg... Showed him up LOL...

OH is sat feeding CC a yoghurt... Legs, hands and yoghurt everywhere... LOL Such fun...

The boys had an evening out yesterday, they went to the cinema; Astroboy... Both came in all excited telling how cool it was etc... DS enjoyed the bonding time, been semi-better behaved today... Well, at least he's trying...

LK ~ Get a bottle of wine and enjoy controlling the TV remote!

Sam ~ Not sure if you've a wilkinson (Wilko's) near you, they do bumbo's for about £23 ish. They are on-line too.. We've not got one, but noticed them today... CC is happy enough in her boucy chair, on doughnut thing; not really found a need for one...

Have a good evening all...

Good afternoon ladies,

Hope we're all ok.

Flora - thanks for the yes vote for norwich. At the moment it looks like the obvious choise but we will know more by the end of the month I reckon.

Well....I'm whacked! Earl is definitely having a monster growth spurt. He's so grumpy and has been awake for a grand total of 3 hours since 6am this morning. He had a mega 3 hour nap from 12.30-3.30, had some food, watched me making a fool of myself on the wii and is now asleep on the sofa next to me. He's expanded literally overnight and has got the reflexes of a ninja now all of a sudden lol. But he's so achey bless him....hubby went to put him over his head this morning which he loves and he just whinged the whole time. He was only happy if he was being held upside down by his feet with hubby's legs as support. :dohh: (pictures below explain it better)

Anyhoo's, I'm going to go nad play about with the photo's we've taken this week and watch come dine with me.. He'll want some more food in a bit so best be off lol. :flower: Have a nice weeekend ladies. We're off to the car boot tomorrow in an attempt to get some seating for Earl. His bouncy chair is out of commission unless you're in the room with him watching him like a hawk (defeats the object of the chair lol).

Picture 1 - Earl as he is right now....awwwwwwwww!
Picture 2 - the only way to stop the whinging this morning. :dohh:

Aimee-Lou ~ Love the pics... Aww bless him... Hope you manage to find a chair...

CC slept very well last night settled 9.30 ish only woke at 2.30 ish, slept then until 8am! She's now been fed and watered, changed and is now playing on her mat... Sounds like she maybe closing them eyes soon...

She sat and had her breakie in the highchair, I deep cleaned it last night, washed everything including straps in the washer; and flashed the rest with an old tooth brush to hand... OH laughed that it was sparkling when I'd finished... Silly sod!

We're off to collect her a Jumperoo this afternoon; I've looked at the door hanging one, I've only one door way that we could use. That's the kitchen door, and we use the kitchen back door as our front door. So, not really a good idea to have her dangling in a busy through way... Another ebay bargain... (I know we couldn't afford a new one...)

Have a great day, oh; Happy Valentine's Ladies...
