Mornin' girls!

Well lil miss let me lay in till 8am. SO nice lol. We have a 1st Birthday to go to today and then one tomorrow. All these kids are gonna send me freaking broke!!
Today I've gotta get my forms in the post to renew my visa for 10 years. We're gonna attempt it by our selves rather than using a lawyer as the filing fee for the forms is over 500 bucks and we can't afford a lawyer on top of that. Its stressing me out tho cause I keep thinking I'm going to forget something and it will get rejected and I'll get sent home and my baby girl and husband will be here :( :(

Maffs ~ Hope the MS stops soon! When do you plan to tell them?

Kte ~ Aww poor Chloe! Those suckers ITCH. Hope she's better soon.

Aimee ~ Love the logo!!

:hi: all. Sorry I've not been around much, been super busy round here & avoiding FIL, lol. (He annoys me soooo much & i have no idea why, which is just plain silly!)

I'm having troubles getting Harry to eat. For the past 4 days he's just totally gone off everything & it's been a real struggle. I feel like he was doing soooo well & now it's like he's going backwards. I've even gone back to spoon feeding because it's the only way I can get him to eat & even then he's only taking about 5 spoonfuls of whatever I've prepared & then throws a wobbly or blows raspberries, making the food go everywhere & then clamps his mouth shut. He is still taking BFs absolutely fine though, sleeping ok & seems happy in himself, so I'm hoping it's just a phase. I imagine it's prob a combo of the heat, possible teething (hard, lumpy gums?) & maybe he's trying to increase my supply ready for another growth spurt???????

Anyone got any cool plans for the weekend? I'll be, wait for it, painting again. OH got back from the Channel Islands last night, so I now have a HUGE pile of his washing to get done before he goes away to Scotland next week... he'll be away for 7 days, so I'm not looking forward to it, so I'm planning on making him do loads this weekend with me, hehe.

Anyone else feeling really tired all of sudden? The weather's draining me! :dohh:

Aimee, LOVE the business name & the logo looks chic too :) Good luck with it all. How's it going at MIL's house? (or was it your mum's? sorry!)

Autumn was like that with her solids when her tooth was cutting.

Good Morning!

Hope everyone is having a nice Friday! Emma had an awesome sleep last night, so I'm feeling great  Spent part of the morning mowing the grass again- why does grass have to grow so damn fast!! I think it's safe to say I'm now the official law mower of the family since hubby has yet to do it this summer :( Emma's rash is almost gone now- the cortisone cream seems to be working well.

Thought I'd share some piccies...
Emma modelling the skirt I made her:

Emma's little paddling pool that I bought after the big pool didn't work out- I don't think she really likes it though:

Emma sitting in our big pool- supposed to be 2.5 feet deep but with the sloping ground causing issues with filling it, it's just a giant paddling pool but Emma likes it since I can sit in it with her:

Happy baby in the pool:

Kte- I know I enjoy being my parent's kid again too- I love watching my dad make a fool of himself trying to entertain Emma. It's a side of him I've never seen before. How's Chloe today?

Aimee- Love the logo and name- very elegant :) Hope the move is going well and you enjoyed your walk!

Chaos- Hope the paperwork goes well :hugs: Kids birthday parties can be so expensive when there are lots of them!

Flora- enjoy more painting, lol :) I bet you'll be happy once the house is finished! Emma decreased her solids around the time her second tooth cut too- hope Harry is feeling okay and his gums aren't bothering him :hugs:

Hope everyone has a good weekend!

argh- all of my photos were resized to be the same size- don't know why the first two are so big...

Cute video of Noah- looks like he enjoys his jumperoo! Emma was sitting on my lap while watching it and was enamoured- would Noah like a Canadian girlfriend? :haha:

oooh as long as mummy can come she can :haha: we got the jumperoo today to have at mums it fills her lounge though

He's been grumpy tonight he's got a rash on his face, my mum says its a teething rash. Poor little thing.

 of course Mummy can come :)

They do take up a lot of room, but are so worth it! We had to take a side table out of our living room to make room for Emma's but she's had hours of enjoyment- probably one of the best gifts she's received  Looks like Noah enjoys his too from all the laughter :) Hope his rash is okay and his teeth aren't bothering him too much tonight :hugs:

Right, Emma's done on the boob- back to making salsa for nacho night...

oooh nacho's with melted cheese and chillis gosh im hungry.....

Thankfully at home we have a large lounge so you dont otice that jumeroo, this jumperoo seems massive here though.

Hi happy girls and babies, good to see all the lovely photos and videos. I am writing in a sleep-dperived haze. Last night Monty woke at 10, 11, 1, 4, 5, 6, 7 and finally 8. The two nights before were similar. He is waking up knackered but refusing to sleep in the daytime. This is the week my OH is away working. My mum is here, in theory she's helping but she isn't very good at helping, she just questions the validity of everything I do, even down to absolute basics like this morning as she went out to the shops I asked her to specifiy at the bakers not to have a plastic bag but to put the bread straight in my hessian shopping basket, but she's like 'ooooh is that hygienic?', and I'm there in the kitchen trying to give Monty his breakfast thinking 'for god's sake, just go to the bloody shop'.

Monty fell asleep on me BF a couple of hours ago, but the minute we approached the cot he woke up yelling. I then left him on the changing mat on the floor while I got a nappy, as he'd had another poo (two in two hours), and when I got back to him he'd managed to grab the container full of cold water, left there from an earlier nappy change, and guess what - he'd poured it all over himself. So I guess he got some in his mouth, and god knows what was in that water, as I'd used it to clean his bum earlier.

I know we've been struggling with teeth and sleep this past three weeks, but this is like reverting to newborn. IN fact as a newborn he slept better than this. I don't understand what's happening. I wouldn't mind him not sleeping in the day (in fact I think it must be easier if your baby doesn't nap, as then you can just go out whenver you want), except he's knackered and therefore gets grumpy, so clearly he does need to sleep in the day sometimes. There are two things that I can think of as causing the problems: first is we've now moved him from hammock to cotbed, and suddenly he's got all this space to move whereas before he was cossetted in the hammock. And then there's weaning - so I guess his guts are doing weird stuff.
But even so, I didn't think either of those things would make his night sleeping quite as bad as it is. I can't function. I absolutely can't drive a car, certainly not with Monty in it anyway, as I just don't know what's going on.

Umm, please somebody tell me this is a VERY SHORT phase :growlmad::shrug::nope:

Noah isnt sleeping, teeth really playing him up so feeds have upped and night feeds are back. It's knackering isnt it Colsy.

I say take mums with a pinch of salt mine thinks my milk isnt enough for Noah and that im drying up (even though I shoot milk everywhere when he pulls off)

I have stupid insomnia at the moment and even when Noah is sleeping im just lying there. Im getting about 2 hours a night ay one got any tips on what I can try?

Colsy :hugs: I really, really feel for you & hope it's just a phase for Monty that passes quickly.

I found the Wii remotes today (right at the bottom of a box full of ancient university lecture notes & bedding, lol) so I am finally able to start the wii fit plus I got for crimnbo & maybe shift some of these lbs. I used it to weigh Harry too, and with vest, t-shirt, full nappy & denim dungaress on, latched firmly onto my boobie, lol, he weighed in at 17lbs, so I reckon he must be at least 16 & a half lbs by now, which is cool.

Better go coz I have a million things to do today, including putting some things up in the attic (ick!) that we no longer use like Harry's moses basket & 3 big bags of his 0-3mths clothing. :)

Have a great bank holiday everyone!

Hi everyone, I haven't posted here in a long time but I do lurk  and I've not checked this thread for a week or so, so looks like I've a lot to catch up on. I hope everyones babies are all doing great, I can't believe that they are all growing up so fast already! Jacob will be 8 months on Thursday and is a real wee Mummy's boy, which I love but it can be hard work sometimes as he wont go to anyone else and likes me to be in his sights at all times but I guess I mustn't be doing such a bad job with him if he wants to be with me all the time :)

Harry's doing great Fleur, my wee man's a wee heavyweight lol, I popped him on the scales this morning and he's 24lb!!!

Good morning ladies, Yorkshire Calling!! :haha:

Hope we're all ok. I feel Grrrrrrrreat this morning. Earl was really unsettled at about 3-4am, so I pulled out the quilt and laid him on it. He was out within 10 mins. I passed out next to him til 6am. I woke up and left Earl on the quilt and went back to bed. He didn't wake up til 7.30!!!! I've not seen that time on the clock since he was still a feotus!! :haha:

He's just gone down for his first nap of the day at 9.30!! It's brilliant. I'm not going to count all those chickens ye but it did add weight to my argument that it's hubby's alarm that wakes him up as hubby's alarm went off at 7.15!! :dohh: I feel vindicated and now can't wait until hubby finishes work in a month!

Eurovision :dohh: Bless Josh, he did well, but when will we learn. The rest of Europe takes it seriously! We need to do the same! Sorry, I love Eurovision. How dare we be beaten by that Serbian affront! lol I did love the German entry though....cross Sarah Silverman with Lily Allen! lol :haha:

Right, gotta go and trawl the internet for a cheap lawnmower...thinking Argos lol - gotta love Argos!

Have a lovely day ladies. Sun's out but it's windy so don't know what will happen regards our walk. We shall see.

Colsy- :hugs::hugs::hugs: Sometimes I read your posts and think we've got the same baby. We're coming out of a similar patch with the newborn sleeping habits too- if it gives you hope, the past couple weeks have been a lot better. I hear all these stories about smooth transitions to cots but Emma was not one of those babies either. Has Monty moved out of your room also or is it just a swap of hammock to cot? For us, it was also a move into her own room. In the end, I figured out that after 6+months of listening to hubby snore, her room was too quiet (and the snoring was the reason I moved her in the first place :dohh:) so we've got some background "noise" for her now and it seems to be helping. Re: weaning, our problem is constipation messing with her sleep. Anything iron-fortified backs her right up. I hope you turn a corner soon- sleep deprivation is horrible :hugs:

Hope everyone else is well too :) I found some sunscreen for Emma at the health food store (thanks for that idea Chaos!) that seems to be chemical free but of course, now it's a grey, cloudy day :dohh: Isn't that always the way? Anyway, no big plans for the day- should probably get some groceries but other than that, just relaxing. Happy Sunday!

I forgot to say, harry has learned how to clap his hands :) It's soooo cute! :) :) :) He gets so excited, starts clapping his hands, then gets even more excited coz he's all happy about hearing that clappy sound. We were sitting there to day for ages doing it & singing songs, then he fell asleep, lol. I swear to god that kid 'plays' himself to sleep!

Craftymum- wow, Jacob's doing so well. I love looking at all your pics on facebook of him & hearing how he's doing :)

Emma learned to clap her hands yesterday too :) She's also been doing this funny shrug where she turns her palms upwards- cracks me up everytime. She's also picked up hubby's bad habit of doing huge, noisy yawns :dohh: Hubby was doing them because it made Emma laugh but now she's doing them too- hubby looks sheepishly at me everytime she does it now since I asked him not to do it months ago.

These kiddies are getting more and more personality, aren't they? :)

 Hello all, hope you and your LO's are okay :flower: MAJOR catch up to be had by me! So I thought I'd do a quick post first though just to show I am still alive and all that! :haha:

Thankfully it isn't chicken pox, dunno what the little sports were so maybe it was sweat rash! So at least I can take her to nursery where she will most likely catch it anyway but hey ho. I'm not complaining having a long weekend with a well baby!

Friday was great, went to the park and sat out in the sun for hours (Chloe in shade) but she just sat there fingering the grass, happy little madam bless her.

She was up every hour though last night so we too are having sleep problems, she was really hungry, had 2 full 7oz bottles, she normally takes 1 for the whole night.

She has her two bottom teeth now! Oh and lastly but my no means least 7 months today! :happydance: :happydance:
