i just take pics of cakes in my front room LOL im limited to take them anywhere else really....though i love it when people send me pics back from a wedding.....i could kiss the photographer who took this pic:

my OH has a really good SLR but not sure about what to use as a background , i could edit them and put them on a background but dont want it to look dodgy iykwim lol

lol snowball..IKWYM, i had to do that with a stadium cake i did, it was so big..i had nowhere to put it, and there was allsorts in the background so i had to cut it out n just put it on a white background. im currently thinking of more neutral backgrounds to keep all the focus on the cake, and my wallpaper seems to do the job, nice plain colour but with a hint of pattern so guna stick with that, n get a few others i think x

yeah but the trouble is then u need all the lights , umbrellas n stands to go with it LOL, and amongst all the cake stuff, i have nowhere to put them LOL
photography is another expensive hobby....why did i have to choose the 2 most expensive hobbies!! LOL

I made some cupcakes yesterday with pale pink royal icing and little roses on top! There nowhere near as good as some of yours but I’m quite pleased with them – I will post a picture later, I based them on the picture below but they are not as good

Lea, buy a 'light box' or it may be 'white box' you can get them off ebay for about £20.....they come with white/black/red/blue backgrounds are are perfect for setting up on kitchen worktop...infact I forgot I had one ...gonna dig it out!
