Im on a baking spree tonight I have new confidence thanks to Jos muffin tray baking tip so I have 32 cupcakes to make - 16 chocolate & 16 lemon. Wish me luck

*edit* providing my boxes turn up I ordered them over a week ago & still not here. If they dont arrive today Ill have to dash out to asda & stock up on easter eggs for my family instead

Ladies i need help ... ive got to make a "mercedes" cake for my stepdads birthday, not in the shape of a car, but just a circular sponge with the mercedes badge on top ... how the *insert swear word lol* am i going to do that? Im fine with everything, but i dont know what im going to do about the badge?

I would print something like this out and just copy it in gum paste.

You could paint the silver parts or colour them with powdered silver colour. You could pipe the leafy bits that are on the blue.

I would probaby just buy a rice paper topper if I'm honest Holly!

I am trying to perfect my writing piping but its a long process! You would need a faor bit of practise to get that done!
I am sure you get tappiz cutters in the Merc font though........ so it would just be the leafy parts you would need to pipe on, the triangles you could cut out of fondant.

I have 2 cakes to do, a subaru cake today for OH's friend and our easter cake!!!! Looking forward to dooing the easter cake but not the subaru one...waiting on OH getting home with the butter so i Can get started

Well my cake is all packaged up and ready to send :thumbups:

Its going to have to go by Royal Mail Recorded Delivery though as Royal Mail Special Delivery would be over £20!

At least now I know the sort of prices that postage would be.

My courier only charges £6.50 next day delivery just a pity it is Good Friday tomorrow or I could have sent it through that! x

Cake Craft Shop (google it) are really cheap however I ordered my stuff over a week ago & it still hasn't arrived. Im totally gutted coz I wanted them to make easter presents from my family, but we're going there tomorrow so missed out Im totally gutted!!

But if you're not in a hurry for them they seem to be the cheapest

Anyone got any ideas what I can do now x
