:flower:

That Bakepal who sells the red polka dot ones sells different colours too I think :)

YES LIKE THAT... not the silicone just throw away ones. x

I emailed the sellers and they havent any blue

jac, royal icing is an old fashioned way of icing wedding cakes...most are fondant or buttercream now xxx

boothh...those lemons have been sugared.....but even when sugared they have to be placed on at the last minute. the candied ones turn to like a brittle glass like lemon! but go quite dark and can be unpredictable in shape! :(

tsia...they look good!

o yes about the fruit cakes jac...i dont cut them...it would cause too many holes where all the raisins would jump out :) LOL

ahh yes, didnt think about that tracey!:dohh:

£70 for an 8 inch fruit cake??? what was in that?????

Here's me moning about paying £11.95 for mine!

edit- thats why MIL keeps harping on about royal icing being 'very difficult to work with' and 'takes a lot of practise to get that right' grrrrrrrrrrrrr shut up MIL your ancient!

Tsia they look FAB!
Got new bits from Morrisons today.A cake box (although i prefer the ones with the separators) some coloured spotty cases and some funky animal print ones.
They had quite alot of new cases/stands,wrappers and sets called cupcake toppers with different coloured buttercream and different decoration to match the colour of the buttercream.

thanks all.. went to ice the big cake and realised I used most of it on the little ones so that cake will have to wait il tomoz.
In the meantime I am amusing myself tonight making little sugar paste characters with what I have left!! :)
If theyre good can I keep them til mylos christening in 4 weeks? do I have to store them in the fridge?

may post pics later if I get the chance

No Tsia, not in the fridge. Store them in an airtight container in a cool place and they will be fine:thumbup:

bloody hell can you get me one?

seriously it wasnt as if I heard her wrong cos she was pointing to a chart she had on a piece of paper!

Its everything included that.. loads of brandy too.. and decorated. However ordering it plain with no decorations would still be £50!!
So scrapped that idea. .. hey how come yours is only £11.95? what size is that for? maybe you could send me one! lol

Tsia well done!

M&S do decorated white fruit cakes, aparently they are quite moist and good!

Who did the duck cupcakes? I am going to have to copy them!!! Sorry!

The duck cake is for a friend of SIL, and now SIL wants some cupcakes to match the cake to give as a gift, for his party tomorrow so i have no time for inspiration!

What it Tracey, or sweetcakers....... sorry whoever it was! My duckies arent as good anyway!! hehe!

So I have decided to come back on this thread. I need to get back into cake baking..I always end up putting on so much weight when I go on a cake baking spree though..:dohh:

Mines not decorated, but it has gin in (i think it was) yeah a 10 inch cost me £15 odd:thumbup: They are soooo yummy too, everyone loves them.

Lovely cakes and brilliant models!!
Tracey could you not maybe cut out some greasproof paper in the shape of the lemon half (like drawing around them) then stick it to the paper and then stick the paper on to the cake? xxx
