jac, most shops (for cupcakes) START at 2.50 a cupcake
(this is just how i work mine out) id say £1 for a bare cupcake with frosting then extra for your fondant/time etc for making the flowers
the 8" bare sponge would cost, about £20-£25 coz youve obviously got a cake boards there etc.
does she know that for certain flowers u need flower picks for them as some can be poisonous or change the taste of the cake if inserted? xx
good luck!!
andrea, u must be MENTAL for taking that challenge on!! LOL OH would go mad if i did that ha ha
booth...hes a very lucky boy!!
ok well i suppose i better post this dreaded paint tin.....not happy with it but not much i could do for the icing...it just WOULDNT go on right!! on the plus side...my ladder dried out in time!! LOL
customer loved it though...
and get this, they bought a £5 cake from asda as a 'joke' cake so he didnt know he was getting a 'proper' one....just goes to show how crap asda cakes are!! they are bought as a joke!!

Thanks thats why I need to use it. My LO is lactose intolerant so thought it'd be nice to give her a little taste of cake (naughty mummy!)
My 1M nozzle came today - can't wait to get started now! Just need to find the time!
Tsia - got your 1M too - will PM you later

OK!! I have had an idea.. you lot will think I am crazy.. but theres no way I am paying for a fruit cake for mylos christening at the blimmin prices they are quoting me- even UNDECORATED!
SO... I am gonna cheat. lol
I bought 5 slabs of genoa cake..(fruit cake to me is really heavy) and I'm gonna stick them together with apricot preserve, trim them up.. and ice them over with one piece ready rolled icing for £2. each slab was a £1! an iced fruit cake for seven quid? cant beat that eh? lol .. better than £50!!
I'll decorate it with characters, my letters and organza ribbon .. give it the works, they'll never tell!! haha
now.. my question is.. how shall I lay the SLABS OF CAKE out to make them into one christening cake?
like this?...>>>> https://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s51/tsia977/Image0736.jpg
(with middle one trimmed down flat) this shape seems better..
or like this?.. >>>>> https://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s51/tsia977/Image0735.jpg
(easier to ice plus rouns edge at top of cake) this makes the shape longer and taller.
haha.. go on laugh.. I am a CHEAT!!
