Does it seem I am forever baking or something? haha :haha:

I just use differant coloured fondant( mixed with Gum Trag) with them, them sprinkle with glitter.
They looklike they have been done thinner, maybe with sugar paste and hand painted

Some of my posts will show how I have used them on cupcakes, although you need to add them just before serving otherwise they go soggy from the frosting mix

Ive started colouring white sugarpaste into a preferred colour unless I need a really strong colour ie black or red or if I need a lot of it...I use the pre coloured stuff.

Yeah to make models, you'll need to use modelling paste or mix normal sugarpaste with gum trag as Jo said and this then makes modelling paste.

The butterfly plungers I have and they are fab! I love using them to makes things a little more girlie - I also have stars and flowers, what you can get the list is endless!

thanks ladies your stars! i have ordered some flowers and btterfly plungers and will just get white icing then and dye it - how do i dye it? lol! xx

The wilton or sugar flair colours like these:

https://www.klarajohnsons.com/Sugarflair%20Paste%20Colours%20jpeg.jpg

They're usually about £2 per pot but they will last you forever! You just knead your white icing then add a little colour (end of tooth pick) and knead again, add more for deeper colour :)

hi thanks for that - is this it??

Erm, thats a powder never used that - i use a paste. Think that may be for painting and tinting?!? but not 100% sure hun x

I have a silver one of the dust but havn't used it yet, was going to use it for edges of butterflies and petals

Danielle iy is these that you need :)

I need your expert opinions....

I'm making cupcakes for my sisters birthday next week. Her fave cake is chocolate and I'm liking the sound of the mars bar cupcakes BUT I wanted to make them pink, pretty & girly. So....would choc mars bar cake taste OK with normal buttercream, as opposed to choc buttercream? :flower:

Tsia - you asked about gritty buttericing didnt you? what butter do you use? I've never had this problem until today when i used cheaper butter? dunno if thats what you did but its the first time ive noticed it xx

I never do Mars Bar Melts with chocolate icing i always do them with normal buttercream, usually with a drop of vanilla. xxx
