Yea tsia thats her! and i ordered 6 of them pastes and i have a order to do a bday cake for the 8th - i bin told she supports Burnley FC or anythin girly - my mum said maybe do a house but dont have a clue where to start!!! xx

ooo btw the ones in the box are choc sponge and vanilla sponge with choc n coffee frosting and walnuts -- the others are vanilla or choc sponge with almond frosting xx

dont talk to me about houses! blimmin 'eck.. all the icing is sliding down the house shaped cake I have made for my sisters 'new home' cake ..!! it looks awful.. OH thinking he was funny asked if the house had subsidence!! he'll get one of them if he aint careful!

dunno what I'm gonna do.. tidy it up after a night in the fridge I think.
I'm dying for it to form a crust on the icing so it supports itself better! haha
and that was after I did the crumb coat!

lol i think i could master that - i mean its only to colours aint it!! but instead of that ball thing in the middle i was guna try n work out how they make them bow things?!

oooo also do you add your gum trag to your ready to roll stuff to make modelling paste? an do you colour it before or after adding gum trag? xx

I think theyre just balls of ready coloured icing/sugarpaste.
You could always use white or brown maltesers if you change the colour scheme! lol


i'm yet to try the gum trag.. to be honest I dont think I need it.

Daniel well done with your cakes! The balls around the bottom of that round cake are sugar paste - ready roll stuff And I usually colour my icing first then add gum trag

Just gotta add a few touches to y'days cake and then it'll be finished - there was a lot of f'ing and jeffing but it looks ok! lol

I know, I am sorry – I have a lot of catching up to do, and a hell of a lot of piccies to show you!
The christening cake isn’t very traditional, but hey! That’s what she wanted…its hot pink and green!
I will get some piccies up tonight – add me on FB if you wanna see some, I don’t really post in here as much as it moves too fast! I will try and make more of an effort though!

See, she is coming to pick it up Friday night and I done it yesterday night…worried that was too early! I have to do all the cuppies tomorrow though!!

Has anyone used the foil cupcake cases before?

Not a lot of orders coming up for me, I am taking a break as I’m so busy with work atm..I have the big cupcake to do for my sister next Tuesday…I am partially dreading that though…Tsia, I ended up buying the tin! Then, a garden shed one for my Grandad in Oct and and football shaped one for OH!

Thanks for this! Baking and cooking is one of my great loves & it lifts my spirits everyday flop or wonder in the kitchen - I don't care, but it never hurts when hubby is all smiles

I've been baking / cooking like a crazy woman given it's vegetable garden season. I have tomatoes, cucumbers and zuchinnis growing out my ears right now and the famous apple farm that makes the most amazing "Champagne" apples is opening Wednesday of next week & I can't wait to get my bushels and bake my tarts and treats.

I've been a bit frustrated lately feeding my now toddler of 13M. He has taken to the awful habit of spitting or a no budge mouth shut to most food! Not sure why and I cook him a little yum yum and no no no. I continuing to try. Lately he's loving zuchinni pancakes. He hated (along with hubby) the tomato pudding I made. I love the sweet tomato pudding I make, but a whole bit of it to eat in the house for just me, it's plenty of tomato pudding lols. Zuchinni raisin walnut bread has been delish!

Hi babyeedoll - welcome! I have a 15mth old and she used to eat everything and anything now all she seems to want is rice! Plain old boring rice!! We go through so much food with cooking it and trying her just for it to end up in the bin!! Oh the joys of being a parent!

could have done with that before i tried to build the new home cake up by hand using loaf tin cakes.. lol

i am doing a giant cupcake for tuesday too - its my daughters first birthday! im a bit worried bout doing it - actually im s**tting my self bout it lol! And i have a birthday cake to do for the 8th -- thanks for the help girls well i went the shop an there out of ready to roll - but they were selling like boxes of icing sugar but they where fondant ones, and royal ones and modelling ones so bought 6 of them! xx
