Hello everyone! Im here. Im knackered so this is my only post tonight :haha: late night with lots of alcohol and then an early morning with two 2 year olds and I am doing it all again tomorrow as its my dads belated birthday bbq! Ameretto and coke here I come. :winkwink:
Anyway, cakes came out well. Was very pleased. Im making my dad a proper cake this weekend. Its going to have fresh strawberries and will be nice for him because he doesnt really like buttercream or royal icing.

Anyway, Kitty gorgeous as always my dear. Very very nice.

My laptop died on Wednesday so my sister has given me her computer as she has one already for her business and for some reason it hates me :haha: its not letting me upload pics but you can see the cupcakes and the cake on my group if your already a fan .

Icolour a little butter icing and use a palette knife to "paint" a thin layer of colour to the inside of the icing bag. I then add the white as I normally would. Squeeze icing into a bowl until you see the colour come through and then pipe away

What do you use to cut out the letters?

Also I've been asked to make a carrot cake and a coffee and walnut cake- any good recipes or tips?!!
 
My letters are all piped love but I know lots of ladies have a lot of success with tappits.

For my coffee & walnut I make my vanilla sponge mix as normal. Add about 50g chopped walnuts after you've added all your flour. Make vanilla butter icing as normal but add camp coffee & chicory essence instead of any colouring until you get a flavour you are happy with. Add more icing sugar after flavouring if needs be to get the right consistency. Finish with a walnut half as decoration. As an added "Shazzam" soak your walnut halves for decoration in tia maria for a few hours first xx

I love looking at all these lovely creations. Can I just ask a question: What do you use for your cupcakes: muffin trays or cases?
 
Piperette if I understood you right I use muffin cases and I put them into trays.

Its still not letting me upload so I will have to just do it when I am back at work on Tuesday.

Once I tried without and they went all weird shaped :haha: it was just an experiment but went wrong lol!

My stupid 2D is broken too the tip all bent the NIGHT before my friends wedding :hissy:

Bit embarrassing compared to some of you :haha:

I know they look ok but they bug me...plus how on earth do you make any money when it takes like 3 hours min to decorate 12 cakes :hissy:

Love it Laura :thumbup: makes me so hungry to eat some 'proper' cake. Although I LOVE making cupcakes I love EATING big cakes Mmmmmm I would just eat all the fingers off that cake though

Hmmm they are ok but not as good as they need to be :lol:

On a kind of related subject though... just had EHO round and have my certificate :wohoo: So now I need to start pestering to get on the farmers markets :haha: Eeeek!! Got to get all my bonus bonds out so I can get buying for the stall heehee
