The last three were done on the fly after my disposable piping bag split lmao.

But my god the 1M is beautiful and well worth the wait

Only two days until SIL wedding and I cant wait. I wanna see them all on the stand, this has been a plan from February so its been a long time.

I have made extra toppers and I am off to my mums tomorrow afternoon to pick up the toppers as they are boxed at hers and see the damage lol.

Ha, thats why I put lol at the end. I was gonna say why ask? you know me

So SIL wanted a big cake but I wasnt too sure I wanted to try a big one with so many cupcakes to bake so she got one from M&S for me to decorate with pink gerbera's and ordered a handmade personalised topper of her, her OH and her son and it hasnt arrived.. They said that it would come before 19th and its now 23rd, she is praying it comes tomorrow.
I have no idea of the size, what its gonna look like and her wedding is on Thursday! I think I am just gonna stick gerbera's around the sides of the cake.

when i tried to do cake pops it was a major fail so i never tried them again....they never got hard or cake like on the inside once in the fridge

i really wanna make a chocolate raspberry cupcake, i bet that would be good with fresh berries on top with chocolate drizzled over them. some done with white cake and cream cheese frosting but with chocolate and raspberries...mmmm

So tomorrow is the big day, all 80 cupcakes are baked and boxed and just need to ice them and decorate them in the morning, cant wait.

The topper for their big cake didnt arrive so now they are just having their names and the date of the wedding. They paid a whopping £61 for it.. I couldnt believe it when they told me today!

These are lemon flavoured for my aunt to cheer her up (she's currently housebound with a broken back)

I tried making chocolate fudge cupcakes but only had milk chocolate in but they tasted quite good. They were topped with White chocolate buttercream:

The red bits are homemade boiled sweets that I tried out, need a mould for them though!!

I use regalice..... or Tesco if it's a last minute job and I haven't got time to order regalice online!

Hellomy fellow bakers. Been mad here - I'm not complaining but I'm baking pretty much every day and massive orders too - today I've done 96 (well - baked and made toppers so far - will ice when the monster is in bed).

I want to try big cakes soon and also stacked cakes. My sponges tend to last maybe 3-4 days max before they need to be eaten but some big cakes seem to last ages (I hear of some takng a month to decorate) - what recipe is best for a long lasting cake once covered in rolled fondant? Is it Medeira? Does anyone have a good reliable recipe?

Wow - gorgeous Kitty. Can I ask, when you do your roses and colour the tips of them (does that make sense?) so you just use shimmer powder or do you mix it with rejuvinating fluid to make it into a paint? Or do you do somethign else entirely?
