Ah I just made some bees to put on cupcakes for my 2 year old cousin for the weekend -

(it's an 'in your FACE' to my OH who claims I cannot model...)

The wings are glittery but it doesn't show well on the pics.

What do you think for a first attempt?? I'm quite proud

Things have really exploded these past few weeks. Baking most days now, being part of an advertorial feature in Vodue next month and paid the deposit on our new kitchen. It's all go go go ... oh and we're (not to be mentioned on FB) pregnant too.

For those of you that are making yrouown sugar toppers. I strongly recommend havign a play with it freehand. My freedom to create has reached a new level since I spent and evening not viewing it as sugar paste but as plasticine instead... played and created beauties xxx

Thanks dear. The hair is thinly rolled sugar paste cut to size, ends tapered and then individually glued on by hand using tylo glue (a little tylo powder mixed with water makes a fully edible and digestible (oh and tasteless) glue xx

Phew! Ive had a mad day baking, got one more set of cakes to frost then I have a box to take to my family this weekend.

Ive lost my grass tip! so I used one of my crappy little star tips instead so it's not as cute as I'd hoped

My cupcake box arrived 30 mins ago so I can at least breathe a sigh of relief lol. I didn't have enough small boxes for all 24 cakes so I'd have had to eat them all myself shame!

Fab news on the Bubba Kitty, you'll certainly have your hands full with two under two and a baking business! No rest for the wicked, eh What have you got planned for Finlay's birthday?

I've been manically busy at work, so not baking. But have a flower basket, batman, and number '3' cake to do this week which should be interesting. I'm starting to feel like the cakes are 'work' now instead of fun - always happens when I have to make something, rather than want to - all the joy goes out of it

Not officially no, and I'd never EVER try and claim copyright. BUT I've seen cakes be completely copuied and the copier try and just say that the origional creater copied them IYKWIM. SO it's good to just have a log somewhere of when you created yours.

Thanks lover. I know - I have NO idea when I'll be able to bake again after this babe. But hopefully within maybe 6 months? I canbake up to my due date too really. SO exciting.

We're doing a party at soft play for Fin-bear's first. WHERE the heck did the year go? Cripes!

I hear you on the cake feeling like work thing. It can be tough. Like some days I desperately want to just have an early night but NEED to get on making sugar toopers and stuff and it can make me a bit resentful - but never for long. Your upcoming cakes will be amazeballs xx
