the specialist prescribed clomid for 3 cycles and this is my first one, starting tomorrow, day 5 to 9. I am due to take 100mg, 50mg in the morning and 50mg in the evening...

any advise on how to maximize my chances? I found this clomid calendar: https://www.babymed.com/tools/clomid-ovulation-calculator

did any of you used it? Is it reliable?
How long after the last pill should I expect to ovulate?

Is there any success story with clomid at the first cycle?

We are so excited but scared at the same time... we were told that after clomid they wouldnt be able to help us as I am over weight..

I have no info for u as I won't be taking my first round until af shows and on cd2-6 50mg I had my last provera tablet on Saturday so a waiting game for me but I will be keeping an eye on your thread gl x

This is my first Clomid cycle. I took 50mg CD4-8. I think it's great that you're going to be started at 100mg. When my FS did the ultrasound 10 days ago, she didn't seem to think that the 50mg really did anything for me.

I took guaifenesin for 5 days leading up to ovulation and the day of ovulation. I'm not sure if it helped, but hopefully I'll know this weekend when I test! If you're interested, google "clomid hostile cervical mucus" and read the article from BabyHopes.com. That's the plan I followed.

The best advice I can give you is to TRY not to get your hopes up to high. I just knew i was going to get pregnant on the first round! And when it didn't happen, I was totally depressed! I even had to call into work! Stay optimistic but try to prepare for in case it doesn't happen. This month i'm doing much better! lol!

i didn't know about hostile cm with clomid, the specialist didn't say anything. I am a little worried now, usually I realise i am going to O because i have a lot of ewcm... how am i going to predict it this month? with the bbt chart i can only pin point ovulation when it actually already happened and i see the shift in temp... opks don't work well with picos people the specialist said...
any advise?

although i am telling myself that this will just be a trial... i can't help but feeling so optimistic... and i am sure i'll be crashed when i see my bfn... i know this!

it is so hard though... my chart looks ok, i ovulated, i had ewcm, my temps went up, progesterone test is fine and my OH test is fine... i keep asking myself why? what is wrong? why does it have to be so difficult?

why were you put on clomid?

Is any of you trying conceive plus? I have read a lot of good stories with preseed but i don't think i can find it in the uk. in boots they only sale conceive plus. what do you think?

I took it with last cycle 50 mg cd 4-8. Got some nice sized follies and triggered with ovidrel on cd 10. It caused severe dry cm for me (about 30% of women get it) and I didn't get preseed until it was too late. Also didn't know about epo and robitussin until after I Oed. Then on cd 2 of this cycle I went in for a scan (my dr does snan before and during) and had a 17mm residual follicle so I can't do clomid this cycle. Thank God my dr does scans (as a lot don't) and found this follicle because if I had taken it again I would have been a big mess. My best advise would be to make sure your dr keeps a close eye on you. GL and Fx on a BFP your 1st cycle.

I still had EWCM this cycle using the guaifenesin. Just not as much as I have noticed the past few cycles (before Clomid). I was also doing OPKs so I knew ovulation was coming.

Only advice I've got is get a good facial scrub because clomid gives me AWFUL cystic acne for the whole freaking cycle. lol GL!

This is my first cycle on Clomid also. My doctor has be on 50 mg on days 6-9. Good luck and lots of baby dust for you.

I am still waiting on either a BFP or AF for my first round of Clomid 50 mg CD 5-9. So I am not sure if I have any advice or not

All I can tell you is that I had ovulation pain on my left side on CD 14 and 15 (right when that calculator predicted) and I have had mild cramps ever since (I'm on CD 23). However I never got a positive OPK, so I don't know what to think. I had some that looked close to being positive but never quite there. I did my blood work today and have to wait till the end of the week to see if I ovulated or not.

If we did not conceive this month there are a few things I am going to do differently on my next clomid cycle. I am going to temp as well as take robitussin since I had virtually no CM (until a few days ago).

omg! i was wondering why i was getting such horrible acne!! I have some cystic type pimples and couldn't figure out why this was happening! I didn't have it on my first round with clomid.

my doctor put me on it because he didn't think my eggs were maturing enough to support a pregnancy if i were to get pregnant. I think my progesterone was low. It has definitely helped.

omg! i was wondering why i was getting such horrible acne!! I have some cystic type pimples and couldn't figure out why this was happening! I didn't have it on my first round with clomid.

Are you getting them on your neck as well? It's like the whole bottom portion of my face is filled with cystic pimples and mini pimples [the fun to pop kind lol]

I've gotten it with both rounds of Clomid and I've never really had a problem with acne before [a pimple or two here and there] but nothing at all like this.

And there's no happy medium with it either. You don't want to wear makeup because it just makes it worse, but you don't want to leave the house and show the world your jacked up clomid acne face lol.

I also sweat a lot more on clomid too, it seems like I'm always overheated and it makes me really greasy...I just keep telling myself that it's all for the greater good

Thank you Hun and I'm trying conceive plus got it for next cycle but Ive been dry for couple of day ( tmi I know loo) so I used it for a lube I love it and I don't find it sticky also I found the spermies didn't feel like they were falling out x

OMG!! no acne no!!!!

never had any prob with acne...and on the info leaflet it also says increase in body weight.... i will look like a monster by the end of this...

same as me, but i also fail to ovulate sometimes... do you also take it day 5 to 9? is this your second cycle on it?

Really? I didn't read that, but it would probably explain the 15lbs I've packed on since March.


It all makes sense now.

A benzoyl peroxide cream may be helpful too if you get the acne. My first cycle I got cramps so bad on CD9 &10 that I had to use a heating pad.

But yeah, I agree. I keep telling myself that it's all for the greater good.
