Can my dog know before I do?

I know dogs and cats can be very in tune with us. But my mom's husky gets like this around being in season? Could they be going into season too?
My mom's husky goes saft, seems quite calm but needs some fuss! With my last pregnancy it's like she understood though, even early on. She likes jumping up for a sniff around your hair, but she would jump up in such a way I had to hold out my arm for her to put her paws on, so she was basically avoiding putting her paws on the bump.
